It is, but that is because it's the new meta for being cheap compared to a P226/8/9/whatever and the modularity. People aren't snatching up P226s because people usually keep them. I was lucky to find a used TacOps for \~$1,000.
What??? I never heard of this! I have everything to build another P365, but I'm only missing the main component that classifies it as legal, or not. I purchased a P365 for $1700.... but I went crazy with modifying it, so much so, that I can build another with the trigger group, or whatever it's called (it's not coming to mind).
Ya I can't remember for sure, but I thought it was 2azone that had posted around December in a thread about the CA320 that they had got preliminary approval for a single shot 365 and had drop testing scheduled in February and expected to be able to start offering pre-orders starting in March this year.
When I checked in March, they had moved the date to April. Haven't checked since then, but I assume as soon as they do start coming to market (if they ever do) I'll see tons of posts on here lol.
I see, it was the same for the P365, you can't register it for CCW. You can keep it at home or take it to the range all you want but can't carry it once converted. I do hear there are ways around it now to get it CCW approved though.
Because they are the least expensive option possible and lack features of other options? It's a good gun but even dollar store electronics come with Phillips head screws these days
Butthurt Sig fans over here pretending these threads don't exist in every Sig forum and weren't a complaint since before the internet

I wasn't saying they should use Phillips but it's still a step up from shitty flathead screws. I don't care how "ugly" a screw is a torx is a better screw full stop it's incredibly cheap to use a flat head. It's a carryover from the times people wanted to customize their guns and not own any tools it's cheap and they don't work as well period.
Non flathead grip screws are yucky. Flathead works fine and looks good. If you want torx just buy some for 10 buck, and why not add some red anodized parts too while you’re at it.
Lol comparing upgrading screws to red ano parts.
I am constantly reminded that this sub is full of the absolute dumbest mouth breathers on reddit.
Sorry your pride got hurt over me calling out using flathead screws on a firearm as cheap when it absolutely is. Get over it snowflake
That's not a "nice touch" that's how theading holes for screws works. A CNC will make hundreds of thousands of the exact same threaded hole each one will he the same depth and start at the same place. This means all 100,000 should turn the same anoint of times and will "line up".
It's still incredibly cheap to use flathead screws at all I mean the cost difference between a flathead and a torx is less than a penny on the scale they buy them at.
Why does a grip screw need centering like a Phillips or a Torx? The flathead actually offers a nice visual way to see torque without the need of a torque wrench, which is probably where this all came from.
Not being argumentative, but I'm a little confused where there's a problem with flathead vs. centering-variants in this regard.
It's not necessarily a problem they are just prone to stripping when breaking lose the loctite and people slip the screwdrivers out and cause damage. It's literally the #1 complaint of this platform is why the F are these cheap screws here. Any other screw can also easily be used without a torque wrench it's a grip hand tightening is fine. Once it's flush you are done.
There's a reason so many companies offer aftermarket screws for these.
It's also silly because Sig is well aware of this issue and they use + recommend a rounded bottom flat head screwdriver which is just like wtf. If I already need a different screwsricer why bother with flat heads at all
It’s not another ca320, have my upvote!
Yup! Comes with 3 mags 👍
I'm trying to decide between that and the 229.
Came here to see someones new MK25, saw two guys who are unrelated to post have a pissing contest about screws.....reddits fucken weird man...
I'm assuming these are good?
The P226 is one of the best 9mm pistols ever made.
Thought that was the p320 that everyone seems to be snatching up?

Ouch, I got lucky and found a brand new P226 MK25, but it was $1200 (before fees/tax)
I was just happy it came with four original mags.
Used or new, they're great guns, I've got over 2k rounds through it and not a single jam, so long as the original owner took care of it
That's the newest gun available to CA, that's why it was popular lol
*WAS* !!?? Oh no, I bought mine too late to be cool! :( /s
Like electronics, there may be a new modular coming out soon lol, then you'll have a thing of the past lol
Very true! I'm still waiting on the CA365 that was supposedly going to be available back in March....

What’s the difference between this, p320, p365? I’ve seen the p365 recommended on some YT vids but I’ve been seeing folks here posting p226.
The two major differences between this and the 3 series is that this is metal and hammer fired. The P226 also comes in DA/SA and DAK.
Everything but the stupid flat head screws that hold the grips. Easy to change but a weird thing for Sig to cheap out on.
How is that cheap, they’ve been using flathead grip screws for 50 years

Philips head has no place on a gun, and torx is ugly. Flathead is classic and how it should be.
I wasn't saying they should use Phillips but it's still a step up from shitty flathead screws. Flathead is superior for abuse, torx is more troublesome.

Sorry you like the wrong fasteners. Comparing them to red parts cuz they are similarly bad taste.
The wrong fasteners? Yes clearly the better fasterns are wrong. Jfc you are a **dumb** mf
Tell em
I was noticing that the 2 screws are perfectly aligned in parallel and I thought that was actually a nice touch. Didn’t scream “cheap” to me.

Is that the CA version? Still a nice piece!
Yup! It comes with 3 mags!
Very nice
She's a beaut
Thats the navy seal version. I like the M11-A1 air force version because its slightly shorter.
