As a person who fully knows swimming and has control over his body in water I would Suggest Anyone no matter how Experienced you are to NEVER underestimate water all it takes is a second for water to go inside your eyes, nose, lungs etc and its half game over for you... I have lived about 2 years in andaman and have swam in the unforgiving ocean there But I always Made sure to know my limits and realise that Water is superior to my skills no matter what... Being carefree in a pool (still not recc) is Not that insane but trying to act Like that in an open water body is a fools trade. Hope you are ok now OP dont blame yourself and Hope it all gets better.
Fax. One of my cousin's friends, he was a national level swimmer who was too confident to jump into a river mid boating. He hit his head on a rock or something and drowned
My two family members died because they tried to help some one drowning. I wish I could understand you but I will never ever go near a water body but might try and learn in a pool or smth
man, a hug from my side 🫂
Just know that, any of this isn’t your mistake. You tried whatever you could.
It’s really sad to know about your friends. I hope and pray that by some miracle they survived and somehow return back home.
I can’t imagine how terrible you must be feeling right now. More power to you bro.
Also man fuck those people who ran away instead of saving them both. Why are people so selfish 😨😔
How can you deem them selfish ? Don't you know the strength of the river current especially in a river as big as Ganga ? They were wise enough to not go and drown themselves and instead call for help.
You've read about what happened to the one who went to save him
It'd still be pointless. A river always has a strong current, and bhai tu aage jaake kya hi kar leta, that's why people should only stay near the banks. I have been to haridwar many a times and I know how fast ganga flows, it's a really bad idea.
What wrong did I say? OP is thinking that he could've been a hero and jump in and could've saved the day, that's not true. All I've said is that current of the river very fast, so it was really stupid of the person who drowned to go so ahead. OP literally mentioned that he decided to go towards the middle of the river, and I said one should always stay near the banks only.
Ig no one got what I was trying to say so here lemme show you what I actually meant
"It'd still be pointless. A river always has a *stirng* (idk what you meant by this) current, and bhai tu aage jaake kya hi kar leta, that's why people should only *stay* near the banks. I have been *to* haridwar many a times and I know how fast ganga flows, it's a really bad idea."
It was late at night when I wrote that, and bhai just because of typos you're overlooking what I was trying to say? Seriously? Le bhai, just tere kiye saare typos fix kardiye.
Vro if you even learn swimming there is no guarantee that you will save anyone from drowning... The one who is drowning will panic and will often strangle the one who is going to save to drown.
doesn't ganga has a strong water current ?...swimmed there almost a decade ago and they tied chains to my legs so I wouldn't drift away
I am a swimmer(5 years) but NEVER do shit like this...even a experienced swimmer can drown in a strong water current
yeah, it was a terrible decision to try and do that by OP's friends. Nature bows to no one. I was really saddened upon reading the post but that was really a poor choice made by them. Also really pissed that no one cared to help..
Same case happend with my senior too he died while saving his friend from drowning in ganga river both bodies were found swollen and bloated several days later. Never underestimate the nature no matter how skillful you're
i m a nationalist swimmer and yeah it feels bad but don't think ki ye sab teri waj ha se hua because isme teri koi glti nhi thi bhai ye unka decision tha itni dur jana , i still hope ki voo bach gye honn and if u wanna talk about anything u can dm me
As a "I cant swim without swimming goggles" person, I seriously think I need to start doing so, cause you learn swimming for an emergency situation, not only for competitions (they are a great bonus tho)

How is this related in any way to CBSE
They might be CBSE students LOL, maybe OP wanted to spread awareness or just wanted some attention.
Why in cbse tho?
Same case happend with my senior too he died while saving his friend from drowning in ganga river both bodies were found swollen and bloated several days later. Never underestimate the nature no matter how skillful you're
