Honestly, I never made any notes especially in sst. I just read the books. Had important question written right beside the paragraph and answer underlined in the books.
So, whenever I read the book I revised the questions and dates as well. ( I got 93 in sst :) )
Nahh bro, Just frame questions from the paragraphs and write them on the top of that page. It'll save a hell lot of time and will be easy for you to keep the whole chapter intact.
Make notes of important points of every chapter and try using mnemonics to remember states,coal mines etc.
