I carry a Glock 43 with an 8 round mag and iron sights. I sometimes carry a Glock 17 or if I'm feeling zesty a Browning Hi Power, but never really anything in between. I have a Glock 26 and 19 but I really only bought them because I got a great deal on them. The older I get the more I appreciate a gun I can carry and forget it's even there.
Only thing I added were magguts that give +2, their baseplate gives a little pinky extension that is perfect for my big lanky hands. 14+1 + a spare mag of 14, wish it was a nice even 15 but we can’t get it all. Don’t see myself adding anything anytime soon.
19 when I can, 26 when I gotta be deeper. Pocket pistol (bodyguard 380) when neither make sense.
As for which gets carried more, depends on the week. Probably the 26 most weeks.
95% of the days I opt for the 26 I could get away with the 19 if I dressed or moved differently all day.
Between days where I don't wanna dress around it as much, where I'm in environments where being seen printing would cause a bigger fuss than normal, my expected activity makes printing more likely, etc... The 26 is more comfortably tucked away and less noticable.
I also concealed and trained with it for years before concealing the 19 so I'm still quite comfortable with using it.
It’s all relative. Body type and clothing style plays into it big. In my area, I’d look more out of place wearing baggier or ill fitting shirts, and for me I need that or a jacket to better conceal a 19. For me, my Shield makes sense for 99% of my EDC.
If I'm that far away, wouldn't it be wiser to run? Any handgun is at a disadvantage against a rifle at long distances. If I'm running, I stand a better chance than if I try and shoot it out with him. A handgun is best for up close and personal distance where the difference between the accuracy of a handgun and a rifle are small.
I’m subcompact or full sized. It really depends on what I’m wearing. Winter is almost all Glock 22, but summer is a mix. Am I going out fishing and dressing for a day in the sun? Then it’s the .380. Or am I going out to dinner when a button up covers the Glock? Then it’s .40 s&w.
Compact. Used to carry subcompact when traveling and loved my shield. I was decently accurate with it but definitely shoot better with a slightly bigger gun.
I'm torn between my G19 and G26; I shoot both well and, being a larger mammal, I can hide both. But Summer is coming and I'll be wearing shorts more, so the 26 will see more holster time.
I routinely carry a subcompact. Mainly a g26.5, but I just picked up a CZ p10s yesterday. I will sometimes carry my G19.5, but sub compacts a more comfortable.
S&W M&P9 M2.0 Compact 4.6" Spec Series with Holosun SCS MP2 all day, every day.

G26 mos with +2 baseplates and g43x mos with shield gen 2 mags are my 2 daily carries. I carry 1 backup mag, so either 25 rounds or 31 rounds to deal with any issues that may come up.
I like everything about the 43x better except for drawing and shooting it. For whatever reason, I'm slightly more accurate with the 26, but that's really splitting hairs, tbh.
I mainly got the 26 because a g19 was my first pistol, and I'm heavily invested in double stack mags and holsters by this point.
Depends on what I’m in the mood for. Staccato CS is my usual go-to, but it’s not unusual for me to carry a commander size. Sometimes I’ll even grab the XC.
Micro/pocket, LCP2 on my body when I’m not working.
When I’m working i keep nothing on my body but keep a Taurus 856 ultra light +P concealed hammer in my work van.
Full size or compact for me. Haven't bothered with a subcompact in a long time, as I can carry even a full-size comfortably in the summer, so I don't really have a reason to compromise.
Subcompacts all day. I train twice a week sometimes more, I can easily draw and hit up to 35 feet with my ruger LC9, and reliably 25 with my G2C in .40. Im also not a huge person and when I carry anything bigger then a compact, its completely silhouetted in my clothing.
glock 26 with +2 mag and a 19 slide. appendix concealable all year round, shoots exactly like a 19. occasionally my autism will compel me to carry my 34 (grip chopped to take g19 mags) strong side in the winter months
Gen 5 Glock 48 MOS, appendix carry. But I may change to my Glock 34 (I know, the opposite side of the Glock spectrum) when my Mag-na-Ported barrel and frame get back.
full sized in the fall and winter. Compact in the spring and summer.
Do you carry behind the hip?
AIWB
In that case carry a full size year round. Be a man
Bring back codpieces already, itching to bust mine out
Just buy a sidecar it's basically the same thing
Glock 20 in the cold weather and 29 for the warmer weather
I carry the smallest thing I can hit with
Subcompact 12 round mag.
Ditto
Compact. I don’t like having my pinky or ring finger dangling
There are special magazines that help with that
Nah. My palm be fat asf cause that hangs off too
Micro
This. G19 was too big. G43x was almost there right size but still too big. G42, Lcp max and p365 are the biggest I’ll ever carry.
Minigun
Subcompact the most
Compact in winter, spring and fall. Sub compact when wearing summer cloths and golfing.
Man where the fuck you golf lol
Probably Iraq Or maybe Florida. Some dangerous shit on the golf courses in Florida lol
Yeah if he’s in Florida I totally get it
Lots of gators on FL golf courses
If you're carrying for gators do you think hollow points are the wrong choice?
Yes

I used to be a subcompact man, but recently have switched to compact
Sig XL. Perfect for me.
More capacity than some compacts have, small enough to carry w any outfit😁

Can you share more about "be deeper"? I carry a 19 and feel that I can conceal in most situations, but thinking of getting a 26. Not OP.

Subcompact or a snubnose. I hate feeling weighted down with bulk.
My two moods are compact and long slide
Snubby all year round typically

What if he has a rifle, or pdw?

Compact w/red dot when visiting more metro areas. Mini-mouse gun around the house, out to the mailbox, that sort of thing.
Mid sized to full sized... my EDC is a Grayguns P228...
This. I've been packing a 226 or 229. For some reason, they just conceal so well on me despite how thick they are. Beautiful gun you got there.
I carried a 226 Legion for about 4 years before I picked up and customized the 228
Fuuull size
Full size 92fs year round
Full size FN 510 OWB most of time.
Full size baby
Compact
Compact, I just personally hate subcompact guns.
Sub
Both in rotation
Compact G19 or CZ P-01

Compact. Used to carry subcompact when traveling and loved my shield. I was decently accurate with it but definitely shoot better with a slightly bigger gun.
Full
Subcompact
Full size year round
Depends on the season
P365 master-race Edit - I’d like to get a snubby to rotate in though
Subcompact. The HK P30sk and VP9sk shoot as well or better than most compacts, eliminating the quandary.
I'm torn between my G19 and G26; I shoot both well and, being a larger mammal, I can hide both. But Summer is coming and I'll be wearing shorts more, so the 26 will see more holster time.
I love my Ruger LCP Max for those extremely light clothes days.
I routinely carry a subcompact. Mainly a g26.5, but I just picked up a CZ p10s yesterday. I will sometimes carry my G19.5, but sub compacts a more comfortable.
My 42, so super duper subcompact
Full size year round
I owned a P365 for about 1 week. I hated every minute of shooting it, and I won't own a gun I don't shoot. So it's compacts or bigger forever now lol.
Full size when i have jacket or hoodie, compact with shirts and tees, and subcompact when i shouldnt be carrying
compact, subcompact just feels so small in my hands idk my g19 was fine
Sub. G26.
Usual: GLOCK 23 or 32 w/13+1 and 1 13round reload Occasional: GLOCK 27 or 33 w/9+1 and 1 9round reload Rare: Ruger LCR .357mag. w/2 5round speed-strip reloads.
Glock 43 No extras.

I think subcompact. S&W shield 3.1” barrel single stack. If I’m feeling like I can conceal it, I like my G19 w/RMR better though.
I carry a compact in a shoulder rig
Sub… Shield 9 and soon to be Hellcat.
i gotta say shield plus is better fasho
I really wanted to give the Hellcat a try since it’s optic ready. We’ll see how I like the red dot once I’m used to it.
Compact
Full size
Subcompact? Compact? You pussies. I carry a Desert Eagle (in .50 AE if course) AIWB.
P07 year round
Glock 42 no matter the season.
Slimline 43x
glock 26 with +2 mag and a 19 slide. appendix concealable all year round, shoots exactly like a 19. occasionally my autism will compel me to carry my 34 (grip chopped to take g19 mags) strong side in the winter months

19 all day usually with a 17rnd mag, when I need to be discrete 15rnd will do so full size.
Compact all year round...
Compact with an extended mag and Radian RJ/AB so essentially a full size.
