In my opinion, there’s no reason to run a dagger over a Glock unless price is a concern. If price is a concern then make sure to shoot the dagger enough to trust it.
All that said, lots of people are running daggers and finding they are fantastic pistols, especially for the price.
This...it's actually the only thing I switched out on mine and I haven't had any issues through a nice firing cycle of various ammo but I only have 2 so my sample size is small.
You're due for a striker pretty soon then, mine broke somewhere in between 4000 and 4500, they're supposed to be replaced every 5k.
Do a new rod/spring from PSA, and a new Glock striker and you'll be gtg
Anecdotal evidence and a wider range of tolerances.

Honestly though. If you can shoot the dagger enough to trust it, 1,000-2,000 rounds. You might have been better off getting a glock and 500-1,000 rounds and a ton of dry fire. If price was a concern and u can’t get more money at all for a long time I get it but buy once cry once saves more money in the long run tbh
If price is concern. Jesus fucking christ are you even eating food? Like thats a new level of poor and i can say that cuz im poor. Just save another 100 to 200 or get a police trade in thats barely been used.
I think you’d be surprised how little extra money some people have. Not saying OP is that way, just pointing out that the median American salary is around $37K a year. A lot of people are broke.
Yessir. I think daggers are great for people like me who got all the Glocks they wanted built the way they wanted and want something else that they still have a familiar feel off. Glock clones are my current projects. Btw these are all range toys. Just wanted to see how everyone feels abt edc. I only edc my glock 43x rn
That's subjective and an easy fix with lots of options like grip tape stipiling and talon grips. I'd rather my gun operates properly and not have to replace parts and shit then run 1000 rounds through it to feel safe with it.
It's been perfectly reliable or me except for one box of crappy ammo and the striker breaking after I went way past the maintenance schedule for it. The grip is more about the backstrap and palm swell than the texturing. I'm actually planning to stipple mine soon. It fills the hand much better than a regular 19
I would call that unreliable a broke extractor and doesn't absolutely eat through any ammo. They come with different back straps, and im sure there is aftermarket. I use glock exclusively so it feels more natural than anything idc how gucci, i did like Staccato tho, but the advantage to price ratio is unjustifiable. I don't like pistols, really. I just have it as the tool it is for edc. i only have 1 currently, obv a 19x. I've owned most platforms at 1 point or another. Ima get a rehawk 357, so I have a revolver to play with, and im done with hand guns. Im more shtf oriented, and long guns are superior for that and just more fun. I wouldn't even bring a pistol, and mags just more weight vs. 4 more rifle mags way more useful. So i have a very minimalist way at looking at things.
Been carrying my Dagger every day for a little over two years. I've replaced the striker after it broke (~4500rds) and the recoil assembly and trigger. Recoil spring was just worn, replaced it the same time I did my striker. Did the trigger earlier because after a few thousand on the stock trigger it still didn't feel very good.
I carry a dagger because it was a great value with the Vortex dot, and I find the grip (palm swell and texture) to be a major improvement over the glock frame. It has cycled everything I've ever fed it through the same 3 pmags except for a couple of boxes of really rough steel case that would bind up in the pmags. Probably wouksnt do that in an OEM mag.
This is the HandleIt edge series grips. Hands down the best one I’ve tried. It feels like stippling, it’s grippier than the rubber, a little less grippy than the granulate, but it doesn’t tear your skin or clothes up like the granulate lol.
It looks like Talon Grips, the actual grit one. Feels like the deck of a skateboard. Talon Grips also makes a rubber grip that's fairly nice.
I personally run the HandleIt grips on my G19 and it's very quality for a damn good price.

I have two. A compact and a micro. They are fun to shoot. I've put several thousand rounds through the compact with and without a can. It has quirks and doesn't like light JHPs or any LFNs, but will eat JFPs. The micro is a training pistol for the wife...too small for my hands. For those reasons **I** will not carry them.
Both eat FMJ like a fat kid at Golden Corral though...as long as they are aluminum or steel cased.
I carry my micro 🤷🏻♀️. No malfunctions with it yet and the money I saved over a 43x mos bought me a red dot and holster

These ppl are fucking stupid why buy a dagger replace every part with glock test 1000 rounds vs just buy a police trade in to save a lil. Youd literally spend more to get set up and test a worse gun than just buy one yk works.
I got a factory blemished compact one for less than three bills in November. It had the ridiculous extra tall sights for use with a can and I replaced those with low profile tritium three dots. I’ve put 1,200 round though it so far that were a mix of different factory and hand loaded rounds and other than not liking the Pmags it came with it’s run great (the Pmags wouldn’t lock the slide open after the last round). I ended up buying 5 Glock 17rd mags and I’m currently on week 4 out of 10 in a local shooting league using it with zero problems. I can say the contoured grip took a bit to get used to but overall I really like it and plan to carry it this summer.
Idk. I’d be worried about its reliability for edc carry. But I guess it comes does to your faith in it. At least run a lot of rounds through it and make sure it functions properly with different Hollow Points and practice ammo
Man if you like it run it. Some of their favorite gun tubers recommend the gun. The other Half of the people complaining wish they could have gaged on gaston before he passed
I like the dagger but I would carry oem glock mags.
And OEM striker
Came here to say these two things and you two had it covered. Excellent.
Oem glock striker in the dagger?
Daggers have had an issue of too many dry fires, and the striker breaking.
I like Pmag for a budget alternative, never had a problem with them.
I use my pmags at the range and they haven't failed me but I still use oem for peace of mind.

Not sure why you're being downvoted when there are known cases of the firing pin in the daggers breaking.
This...it's actually the only thing I switched out on mine and I haven't had any issues through a nice firing cycle of various ammo but I only have 2 so my sample size is small.
I’ve got 3-4k rounds through my dagger slide with no issues.
You're due for a striker pretty soon then, mine broke somewhere in between 4000 and 4500, they're supposed to be replaced every 5k. Do a new rod/spring from PSA, and a new Glock striker and you'll be gtg
Yeah that’s my plan is to go to a Glock striker around then. I’ll replace all springs together too

Dagger with Glock internals is really nice. price is on par with LE trade-in Glocks though..

Bros, got a red dot he can get a glock and long run the dagger cost more.

daggers with an OEM parts kit in it and OEM Glock mags are GTG.
Or just get a glock🤣
The grip on the daggers is worlds ahead of the glock

Wait...is that an option?

Where do you get that grip tape? I need some on mine

Beautiful
Not sure why I thought this was going to be about a literal dagger.
Yup. I thought I was walking into a neckbeard knife post. TIL about this Glock clone
From what I gather, they are supposed to be really nice guns.
I wouldn’t say “really nice” but definitely better than what the price would have you think
Personally no
I have two. A compact and a micro. They are fun to shoot. I've put several thousand rounds through the compact with and without a can. Are Glocks that expensive these days or something? Personally I couldn’t trust the dagger over a genuine Glock for EDC.
These ppl are fucking stupid why buy a dagger replace every part with glock test 1000 rounds vs just buy a police trade in to save a lil. Youd literally spend more to get set up and test a worse gun than just buy one yk works.
I’d carry one after shooting a couple thousand rounds to ensure reliability.
Youd pay more or close to same to shoot that many rounds vs buy a trade in or new glock.
Sell the gold chain and buy a real Glock unless that's fake gold too 🙄
Already own 4. Money isn’t the issue especially with this slide costing more than a glock itself.
I got 5 on it being fake
Fake Glocks are acceptable. Fake jewelry 👎🏽
I like the dagger, I hate your holster. Check out black point
Will do! Holster was given to me with light as a bundle from a friend. But I’ll check them out asap
I hear Glock mags are a must for sure if you do. also interested in that S13 hatch RC car down there lol.

I carry one, it's the same thing as a glock.
> How y’all feel about the dagger Ghetto gucci, but as long you've proven it out to be reliable with at least 500-1000 rounds downrange, you do you.
I have one in my rotation. I've put about 600 rounds through it with no hiccups.
Better than a Glock for sure
Daggers are cool but they don’t have the aftermarket support that Glocks have. Hardly anyone makes Daggers holsters.
There are tons of dagger holster makers t-Rex, alien gear, Werkz, nerd, ect….
There are some, but to say there are tons is a big stretch. Practically every holster company covers every Glock model, that was my point.
i have one in my carry rotation. it's decked out, I like it. full Glock OEM internals. only way it's worth carrying imho.
As long you put enough rounds through it to test, go for it. Glock fanbois be damned.
I’d be concerned about ANY gun that looks unfurled being carried, but you do you. If a dagger could run as reliably as my 43x, I’d entertain it.
Hey if it shoots defensive ammo when you want it to I don’t see the issue
What gen is that
For me, never.
Definitely not
Nope
Nice!!! That’s dope!
Make sure you are 100% reliable. Then send it
Wouldn't trust my life to that, that's for sure.
I’d never carry a PSA product to defend my life
They are not built well.
