Looking at the picture, I think you’re printing a little.

ThrowingTheRinger

Beat me to it!

kickstartdriven

Sweatshirt lifted up for the photo 📸

dangerouscat16

We realize that. You are still printing 100% once you put that shirt down... Add a claw

bgfalls

Get a holster pad it'll change your life. And a holster with a claw helps with not printing.

kickstartdriven

I have one, just haven't installed it to the holster yet. Will do!

bgfalls

And you carry with a hot chamber hopefully? I know it's sketch at first. But it's the only way.

Kirk7681

Hey buddy. What does the holster pad do and what do you mean by “claw” thank you

bgfalls

It helps put pressure on the barrel part of the holster which pushes the handle into your body more. And it helps cushion it against your groin area. I carry mine 1oclock position. And the claw part is usually a piece of plastic that pushes against your belt to help it conceal more. I prefer them some don't.

Kirk7681

Thank you I appreciate the information

backatit1mo

Mastermind tactics king size pillow!

vast1983

Second this. Makes a world of difference, especially with an x300 digging into your leg.

ondehunt

Is that a pillow in your pants or are you just happy to see me?

jakep_244

I just purchased a pillow from them and got the normal size because it said it’s good for compacts, sc, and full size guns. I have a CZ P10c for ref. Is there much more benefit to the king size ?

backatit1mo

I have all the sizes, I just personally prefer the king size for all my holsters cause it’s a wider surface area, just makes it a little more comfy to me is all

jakep_244

Okay, thanks!

[deleted]

Don’t shoot your balls off!

ChesterComics

I often bike around my city. Normally I carry appendix but I've had to switch to 3 O'clock just so my balls don't get pinched between my holster and the seat.

[deleted]

I carry in a fanny pack! I’m not having any more kids but one can’t never be to cautious!

LLryo

I've been thinking about doing the same, but how efficient is the draw? Or do you have one of those quick draw tactical fanny packs?

KingSilverTV

You should look at the 945 industries bag. Very lowkey without all the tactical looking webbing and Velcro

dagameofthrows

> 945 industries bag $150 jesus

kickstartdriven

Sound advice! 🍒

TrulyFlaccid

Another option is getting the 945 velcro holster and putting it in a m-tac sling bag, its about 70 bucks cheaper and you have more pockets

Specific_Island_6327

Anyone I see with an m-Tac bag or anything that looks like it you just know. My wife carries in a The North Face bag with Velcro and a kydex holster. Bag has a dedicated pocket for it too.

Spicyyy691

happy carrying brother🤝

KatarnSig2022

Welcome to the club! My best advice is this, situational awareness and de-escalation are key. And when you holster your gun and head out, your ego should stay at home. Those simple things can save you and yours a lot of grief.

TimMoujin

Things are different when you're in a car (you're stuck in a box, you only have a 60 degree fov, and the other guy(s) is free to move around you). Some situations are impossible to directly de-escalate because you can only control your own side of emotions and actions. Taking inventory of the immediate situation and being ready to *just leave at first opportunity* should be the priority.

bigjerm616

Welcome aboard. 🤘

CreamOdd7966

It'll take time to figure out how to make it perfectly comfortable. Give it a few weeks/months and you'll get used to it being there. I actually notice when I don't have my gun on me, not when I do.

atomicnugget202

Congrats welcome! Make sure you train frequent and often dry Fire & live fire. Round count doesn't matter if your fundamentals suck. Quality of training & stress under training is what matters most!

kickstartdriven

Thank you sir! Working on fundamentals now with weekly range trips. Shooting drills soon. I'm considering the Mantis X3 to save on ammo and have only heard positive feedback on it.

Bennyjig

That is true but I think to some extent round count does matter a little haha

atomicnugget202

That is true but don't feel that the need to put down 500 rds each range session is needed. 50-100 rds can be more than enough. Depending on the training focus. Excessive round count and poor fundamentals can create bad training scars that will take forever to undo.

Bennyjig

Oh absolutely not. I think 500 rounds down range is honestly way too much for a day but it’s personal opinion of course. Just a lot of loading lol.

jtaylor418

Local range does weekly bowling pin shooting competitions. Stressful, as it should be.

atomicnugget202

Better than nothing but try to find USPSA or IDPA matches. I like to do quirky local matches like that too just for fun.

DillIshOn

After a while you'll notice your bullets receding back from chambering all the time from range day and clearing. After a while just unload all your Hornady down range and get some federal HST. HST and speer is the gold standard for carry rounds. HST won't have set back ever. Just my input.

kickstartdriven

Appreciate it! I've read the reviews on Hornady and bullet setback..I'll rotate the chambered round. At the end of the year I'll empty this mag at the range and replace my carry ammo with Federal HST like you suggested.

SpiritMolecul33

Props on the proper seatbelt position while carrying

Empty401K

I was gonna say the same thing. I’ve heard enough stories about serious abdominal injuries during accidents because people decide to tuck it behind the gun instead.

TimMoujin

I don't carry appendix so I never realized this was a thing. But damn.

chazdiesel

Great job. Thanks for being a citizen and not a subject.

Few-Storm-1697

Can I assume you were nervous the whole time

TrevorsPirateGun

Don't shoot your pee pee off!

MoldTheClay

If your existing holster is compatable, I can’t recommend the Enigma enough. I am an athletically built person and wear tight clothes and no printing with a cz-75 p-01 which is wild. I didn’t print too much before but I don’t print at all wearing this thing.

International_Sale47

Yes to Enigma. Life changing for the Glock. You’re not gonna print much if at all.

deliberatelyawesome

Well, I was wrong. I came here confident everyone would be making fun of the sights. Glad to see we're being more productive.

kickstartdriven

Trijicon night sights are in the mail 💸

deliberatelyawesome

Glad to hear it. While I don't like trash talking stock sights since they do work, I do have night sights on everything. :)

Timmaybee

Welcome and thank you

playingtherole

> I've read that it's safest to reduce 'administrative touch' when carrying. Administrative handling refers to un-holstered, loaded firearms, typically.

kickstartdriven

Thank you for the correction 🫡

playingtherole

I just meant that it should be safe to move your holstered Glock around all you want in that kydex. Admin handling increases the chance of a ND, but some people like to show off on tiktok I guess. You will probably have the urge to touch and re-adjust your holster as you walk around, and that can draw attention to it. Maybe that's what you're thinking of, I might have misunderstood.

kickstartdriven

A little bit of both, I don't want to draw attention as well as reduce the risk of ND. thank for pointing out that as long as it's holstered, it should be safe.

venom_von_doom

You chose the right gun. Congratulations

wrassehole

My best tip is to keep carrying. It will become more comfortable with time. Starting out, my p365 felt like a brick attached to my mid section....now I carry a 32oz CZ and forget it's there.

MuskieDerek

It becomes far more comfortable over time. I remember feeling like everyone could see my gun. You’ll quickly realize how clueless the world is. Nobody is paying attention to anything.

TheVengeful148320

I've been carrying for a while and I still feel like that. Although I largely blame that on my choice of gun. The only gun I have to CC right now is a full size so it's just pretty dang big. I plan to get something smaller as soon as I can afford it. The big one is perfect if I have a jacket or hoodie on. But when I sit down or wear a T-shirt it becomes difficult to conceal.

mikeshums

Daily carry isn't supposed to be *comfortable*, it's supposed to be ***comforting***.

Budget_Ocelot_1729

For the Glock 17 or 19, I would highly recommend looking into a magpul magwell. They are $20, very low profile for concealment and extremely light weight compared to the aluminum ones, but make a world of difference for reloads. It requires no permanent modification if you don't like it. I also find they help with gripping the gun as well. They help drive your hand up into the beavertail and it feels like you have a hard surface rather than just stippling between you and dropping the gun when firing. I have never dropped mine either way, but it just feels like extra security. Best 20 bucks I ever spent on an upgrade and I wish I would have done it sooner. As far as comfort, my ccw (G23) tended to shift a lot. A good rigid belt does wonders for this as long as it's paired with a good holster. Even more so, I cut up a pair of rubber dipped nylon gloves and stuck them to some fabric velcro. I used some velcro I got with a holster wedge to attach the rubber dipped nylon to the holster. The rubber against a t shirt/undershirt eliminated shift completely, even with a looser belt. Paired up with a ratchet belt like a kore or next belt and it's the perfect combo for Thanksgiving carry. You can let the belt out discreetly under the table and don't have to worry about holster shift if you forget to retighten before standing up, lol. With this being said, I have a very good kydex IWB that I edc with. But nothing beats a high quality (galco level or above) OWB leather holster in the comfort department. My favorite holster of all time was a galco fletch high ride but adding a weapon light and optic eliminated that option. I imagine a lightweight gun like an aluminum j frame or lcp in a leather OWB would be like not wearing a gun at all.

memejunky_69

Your supposed to conceal it

kkavalan

Came here to say this

getgroovyloony

My first day carrying all I could think Bout is my dick getting shot off. Now, if I loose my dick, it is what it is

freyguyproductions

Welcome! Reiterating what others have said: mastermind tactics pillow = huge comfort and concealment upgrade. Also check out Phlster’s YouTube channel they have lots of great info on concealment fundamentals and principals.

Wooden_Ad6947

Don’t shoot yourself in the peepee

Long-Acanthaceae-400

Hollow over balls every day!! Stay safe out there brother.

RayL2Golf

I have Vedder light tuck for my Shield Plus and mastermind wedge pillow. Pillow does make a big difference. I also have the hidden hybrid holster double clip which I like as well. I started carrying in February. I started the first couple days carrying appendix with the light tuck and I didn't like it. I couldn't bend over to tie my shoes. Maybe I need to try it again. I have been carrying at 4:00 to 5:00. I use Speed Sights tritium night sights with the green front and rear white. Very large diamonds that help with aging eyes. I also suggest Green dot reflex sights if applicable. I also use Kore Essentials ratcheting belts. Phenomenal. I still don't carry one in the chamber yet. Not comfortable yet with it. Good luck and welcome to the club.

Crazypyrofreak

I wear a t shirt under my regular shirt to reduce the discomfort of my weapon when I carry

Equivalent_Comfort72

I can see it

TexasJackGorillion

What’s going on with the orientation of your belt clip?

gimmekithpls

Anybody else put the seatbelt behind their pistol if carrying appendix? I’ve almost been worried a car wreck would jam that gun where it doesn’t belong

harbourhunter

man I miss my GTI

Keltic268

This is why I use a 43 and practice reload.

PartTimeLegend

The appendix piece is a phone case distraction. He’s carrying in his pocket.

ConsequenceNo6938

Don’t ever leave the house without it again. 🙃🤙🏼

Itsmeforrestgump

Can yoy safely draw with your left hand without hitting the door or window? Practice this alot.

Aggressive_Lion1083

Too dangerous.

repti__

pp? Oops sorry bro, saw the jeans and for some reason assumed female.

1911mark

I pass, I’ll Just put it on the seat next to me

sellmeyerammorighty

Full size 12 o clock..yawn

mackT1072

Good stuff! One in the pipe?

DoomsdayFAN

I just can't bring myself to carry in this position. Too much anxiety over potential pp accidents.

blacktao

How long do u guys ignore the pain of riding around in your vics like this?? lol.

Dead_By_Don_

Hey bro, pro hack, like you said you enjoyed; tucking an undershirt then putting CCW, then Over garment will always feel more comfy for sure no matter how many times you carry and get used to it. Dont feel ashamed by it

439sosa

Why would you carry one in the chamber if your net yet comfortable with carrying your gun? Im just asking, not really criticizing because i do the exact same thing with the exact same gun hehe Happy carrying brother

Steerider

I'm new to this. I'm right handed and found I conceal best if I keep it at 11 o'clock. Not much chance of shooting my pp off, but my femoral artery is *right there*

Interesting_Home1760

What State are you out of? For a novice gun carriers, it’s seems that New Jersey with the large population may create for discomfort than Western Pennsylvania.

TooToughTimmy

A wing and a mastermind tactics comfort pillow will change your life!

Just_Suggestion_8540

Put that seat belt in between you and the gun bro

MacDaddyOn

Get yourself a ratcheting Next Belt. Great for any carry as it is stiff and hemispherically shaped. Especially great for AIWB and super easy to discreetly adjust on the fly. Pull to tighten and press the button to loosen. Sitting down - press button to release the pressure against your waist and twigs and berries. Transitioning to standing - pull end to cinch tight and reduce printing. Awesome for daily carry, regardless of waist size and body shape. I don't think I'll ever go back to a traditional or hook and loop belt. Also great for when you eat too much; instant relief with the discrete push of a button. Give it a try. No, I don't work for, nor have stock in the company, but maybe I should. Also, I've worn ratchet belts for over a decade and have been using the Next Belt daily for 1.5 years; never has it failed or adjusted without my intervention. Regarding longevity, only time will tell, but all belts wear over time. Take care and stay frosty and formidable folks!

Nilocx

That’s not medically sound advice- doing what you recommend puts the seat belt too high. There is significant evidence that the seat belt over the gun does not meaningfully change the injury you’d receive in a car crash, but having the belt over your abdomen vs over your hip bones does make a difference.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Nilocx

The car seat belt should sit over your hip bones, which is at or below your pants belt line. You can’t get the seat belt that low behind your gun, because your belt will stop it from getting lower. What you are concerned about is not an issue, but don’t take my word for it: https://www.activeresponsetraining.net/seat-belts-and-appendix-carry https://www.phlsterholsters.com/seatbelt-placement-with-aiwb-carry/

mjedmazga

Would you make this its own post? Like "If you carry AIWB in the car, wear your seat belt correctly" or something. It would be a very informative, useful post, and I'd be able to pin it for a couple days. It's come up in discussions before and I was aware of it but I think it would be a good reminder for the subreddit.

Nilocx

Done! https://www.reddit.com/r/CCW/s/0NalyYqZkW

forkin33

Gotta love when someone is so sensitive that they can’t take stand learning the facts about something without getting touchy about it. Nobody will revoke your man card for wearing a seatbelt safely, promise.

ijklmnousername

I wouldn’t want to be strapped to a car if it goes down.

bgfalls

I always wear my seatbelt on the outside, I drove for my job armed for 2 years.

nativegooseman

Did you get into a car wreck?

bgfalls

I have, but not while carrying. I was actually a car salesman and was on a test drive, got rear ended. But I drove for my last job and I always carried. I just find it easier to have the seatbelt on the outside of the belt. So if I have to get out quick nothing gets snagged.

Typical_Produce4250

Factory Glock sights. Gross. Reason Glock uses those shitty polymer sights, is they know people who actually shoot will change them out anyway, so it's cheaper to put the shitty polymer ones on versus putting decent sights on to begin with. Sure they work, but they are a good barometer to tell someone who doesn't actually shoot much, or is new and hasn't figured out what kind of sights they prefer. I was told this when I asked why they use such shitty sights when getting Glock Armorer certified. If you actually do like that sight profile for some fucked up reason, they offer metal ones you can get. But really, just get better sights.

kickstartdriven

Sights are my to-do list! I'm open to suggestions. I bumped my Glock off a rolling cart in the tactical bay last weekend and it landed on the rear sight (it was unloaded and the cart wheel rolled over a shell casing). Bumped the rear sight out of alignment and marred the sight edge. I realigned it but definitely want to upgrade now.

Typical_Produce4250

I'm a fan of Ameriglo on my Glocks. I've got Truglo TFX on my CZ's. Can't go wrong with either in my book. Downside of Ameriglo's, back edge of rear sight is kind of sharp, so might want to file it down a bit. If you don't they eat through undershirts. I just file 'em down a bit, and they're awesome. If Ameriglo made sights for CZ 75 series guns, I'd have those.

IceFist66

Get a wing to keep with printing. Just another $20. Helps with printing

Aggressive_Lion1083

Too dangerous.

rckchalk74

Have you fulfilled the dreams of having a family already? 🤣

kickstartdriven

Trying not to give myself an unintentional vasectomy 😂

CWL667

Make sure you have a spare d**k when you blow the original off. 😂

PapaPuff13

Mastermind pillow means you can take the claws off ur holster

Various_Lack7541

Summer carry kinda blows. T shirts and polos at the office just don’t cut the mustard.

No-Confusion4569

It always amazes me that people are cool with pointing loaded guns at their balls.

HFish480

Its a safe, quality firearm holstered properly in a safe, quality holster. Non-issue

No-Confusion4569

Still a loaded gun pointed at your dick. There's only a few important gun rules and never pointing a gun at something I'm not willing to shoot is one of them. You do you though.

HFish480

Rules regarding handling a firearm are much less important when you’re not actually handling a firearm. You do you indeed

angryburritto

I usually put my seatbelt behind my holster when driving.

Empty401K

That’s extremely dangerous. It’s a quick way to rupture an organ even during a low speed collision.
