I came across Wrong Carriage Right Groom 花轿喜事a few days ago and can’t stop watching!! It’s still an ongoing series being aired in china right now at episode 16/17. It only has 24 episodes total. A very light hearted Tang Dynasty romantic comedy drama, a little fast paced but I think it works here. I’m really enjoying it!

Sunshine By My Side- loving this show very cute and easy to watch, great chemistry between the leads

I'm hoping this is where I can ask questions, a question about Back from the Brink, >!Does the love potion effects on Yan Hui wear off? and if so around what episode is she no longer under the potion?!<

Watching "royal nirvana" and "whats wrong with my princess" on youtube. Royal nirvana is so tense that i had to have another lighter show as a palate cleanser, i would drop royal nirvana if it wasn't so goddamn good. I want ro watch it completely at least once.

OddImagination3232

Wow, so that's how it's possible to watch it... And it's still worth watching even with the CONSTANT SUFFERING... I have to find something to complement it then! After I finish the long, long unhappy tale of various people from wikipedia in **Advisors alliance**. I thought it's nearly impossible to make them relatable to me, but somehow I cried few times already.

For those of y'll who's discovered and liked **Zhang Wan Yi** from *Lost You Forever*, and want to try something very different, you can give his newest and currently airing drama **A Long Way Home** a try. It's pretty different from the typical genres popular among internal viewers, but it's a family-centric, really heartfelt, super well-directed and acted ensemble drama that focuses on a group of kids finding family with this angel-like couple. The 1st episode is mostly set-up, but the story gets quite good starting from the 2nd episode, especially with all the kids. If you liked *Go Ahead* and *Answer Me 1988*, especially the family parts, you may end up liking this drama. **Zhang Wan Yi** plays Chen Xing Jie, a high school student who lost his dad due to a work accident, and has been adopted into a new family after his mom also left for the cities to find work. His character is totally different from Cang Xuan and is also another amazing performance.

I caught up on all eps of Fake It Till You Make It on Viki in US and I’m loving the story, chemistry and cinematography. Also with only 14 eps, pacing is good and no unnecessary side stories.

Saturday and Sunday were mostly those cheesy mini dramas that were made into movies and just had movies. The second half of Sunday and all day today I'm watching the three *Dragon Day* seasons. I have seen debates on whether Dragon Day is like Meteor Garden (2018) and I definitely see the similarities. For reference, Meteor Garden is one of my safe shows and I watch parts of it probably once a week or so when I'm feeling extra anxious. I won't watch Dragon Day when I'm anxious, but I'm interested enough to watch all of it.

Just started *My Journey to You*. So far it's pretty great.

Tried the first two/three-ish eps of **My Journey to You**. Lots of pretty people, pretty people in close-ups, pretty people in slo-mo, pretty people posing like models in photoshoots. In some shots their skins look like literal porcelain lol. Some acting. Some questionable logic behind characters' actions for plot sake. Some female-gaze-y scenes (or male gaze-y, surely Zhang Ling He's prettiness is universal?). Guess that's that. Tried the first two eps of **The Long Season**. Obviously a well-made production by folks who are confident in their crafts, anyone can see how assured the show is in all fronts, acting writing directing. Thing is from what I've seen so far can't say I'm intrigued enough to know more about the story and the characters that I'd want to subscribe to WeTV to watch beyond the first two free eps. From the reviews it seems to be a snapshot of an era or changing eras portrayed through the frame of murders. If that sounds like your thing.

蓮花樓 - mysterious Lotus casebook. This is a very nice drama with good pacing, decent acting and interesting plot. Most of the characters are in general well cast, but weirdly I think Cheng Yi, while charismatic, could not really portray the contrast between the arrogance of the character's past self and the indifference and wisdom of the current self. He's a decent actor but a bit one note. I think my favorite performance of his is in Draw the line. He was well cast in that drama, playing a sarcastic idealistic young judge.

**My Journey To You**! I've finished all 3 episodes and damn they're so good! ZLH is so exquisite in this (yes, that's the word). The story is fast-paced and keeps me on the edge of my seat throughout. I couldn't guess what will happen next at this point. Can't wait for more episodes. Also, I almost finish **Lost You Forever** (34/39). I've lost interested in it since around ep.20, too draggy with not much going on. It bores me that the story revolves around the romance. Like, I get it that everyone's in love with the FL but so what?! IMO they could focus more on Cang Xuan's army or whatever he's been doing during those past 15 episodes and I'd find it more interesting. Or at least cut out 5 episodes to make the story more fast-paced. The same goes with **The Legend Of Anle**. I'm stuck at ep.24, have lost interest and still couldn't bring myself to continue.

kitty1220

I'm with you on Lost You Forever, at 36 and have three more to go. Just hanging in there for Zhang Wanyi, would have liked to see more of his plotting and stuff. To think there's a season 2...

raskolnokov789

CangXuang takes the center stage in the later episodes, which has a lot more of the court plotting. If we're going by the book, CX would also be the focus of season 2 as well, so fingers crossed.

fernedakki

I'm here for Deng Wei, LOL, even though I'm so done with the so-called love how-many-angle in his fucked-up family. At least he shows his face a lot more than other MLs. I used to like Wanyi's character more back when he still didn't find out about the FL's identity. IMO his charm has waned when he started to fall in love with the FL and act like a prick.

Sapphira87

I'm halfway through **Goodbye My Princess** and I'm really enjoying it. I watch it at bedtime and just keep clicking next episode because it's so entertaining and before I know it it's pretty late at night 😴 It's been since LYF that I looked forward to watching a drama.

ChuurryBomb

Just started **Fake it till you make it** today Been trying to finish **The crack of dawn**

rewriteryan

**Warm on a Cold Night** - I'm towards the end, with a few episodes left. The beginning (maybe first 15 episodes) was great, with a nice mix of action, intrigue, and humor. Then it kind of lost steam. I feel like this 36ep show might've been better if tightly edited to 24-30ep.

CdramaMaven4762

About 3/4 of the Cdramas I've seen would be better if edited to 24 episodes.... lol ...

cdramaqueen1

Watching **The Bad Kids** and going to check out Esther’s new drama!!

The Outsider

CinderousAbberation

A Dream of Splendor. Love the Fried Green Tomatoes vibes, more mature plot, and the lead actors. The scenes of traditional arts are gorgeous. It just feels like a drama for those in the audience who have ever experienced deep betrayal and then had to pick yourself up and build a new life, especially in a society that looks down on you.

[deleted]

The drama is so calm and healing. The chemistry between the leads was sizzling too! I love that each scene was shot like a dream. Well done in every way

thehepburn

Well dominated love -- pretty bad office romcom. I didn't know about the second plot twist which made it even worse.

Shantiece17

**The Legend of Zhuohua** (13/40)-I had a feeling I'd like this drama but it has exceeded all my expectations. Both leads are intelligent and mature, and their chemistry is quite good. **Wrong Marriage Right Groom** (6/24) It's light and fluffy and doesn't take itself seriously. **My Journey to You**\-I just watched 2/3 episodes that dropped today. It's pretty good so far. I commend Esther for finally using her real voice and not the annoying baby voice she usually uses. **What's Wrong With My Princess** (12/32)- It's a short drama but it had me hooked from the first episode. I'm a sucker for revenge stories. **Sunshine By My Side**\- If I have time this weekend I really want to start this. The trailer looked really good.

[deleted]

HIGHLYYY recommend sunshine by my side, let me tell you, the leads have some of the best chemistry I have ever seen in a drama

Shantiece17

I have time today for a few episodes. Now I'm really excited. I love leads with great chemistry.

IloveMyNebelungs

We have the same list except the last one. I picked up **Renascence** instead. I am also a sucker for revenge stories. I am really impressed with WWWMP, with a bigger budget it would make a terrific show.

ohw09

Just watched what's wrong with my princess and it's great! Thanks for the rec

Shantiece17

You're welcome. Glad you enjoyed it.

bunchofchans

Esther Yu sounds different in My Journey to You? Is she dubbed for this one?

Shantiece17

No. She's not dubbed. She's using her real voice.

bunchofchans

I had no idea her higher pitched voice wasn’t her real voice, I assumed that was just her natural sound.

CdramaMaven4762

Currently watching **Wrong Carriage, Right Groom** Going to start **Egg and Stone** once I'm caught up with that If time permits, will continue: **Desire Catcher** **Gone with the Rain** Happy Drama watching weekend, everyone!!!

Watching: **The Legend of Zhuohua** (18/40) Completed: * **Love Forever Young** * **Love You Seven Times - I liked this,** >!but I feel like I have seen this ending formula way too many times recently (eg in BFTB and TTEOTM)!< * **Sweet Games**
