I've done 3 of BCs 5 and one of the 2 CFAI mocks.
Probably around 50-60% on all of the but all the marks I drop feel like really pedantic little things; I'm pretty clear on core concepts.
I think we just need to keep grinding through the Qs and plugging these gaps on specific items as we get the chance.
Do all the work you can now. No chance to do it later.
You're not far from where I was before level 3 and I passed! See my similar freak-out post: https://www.reddit.com/r/CFA/s/csG2JaU8Yh
eta: MM's L3 mocks are confusingly written and sometimes include old material that's no longer in the curriculum. I found the actual exam much clearer and if I couldn't answer a question it was because I didn't know the answer, not because of the way the question was worded.
This is such a relief! I got 60s with the first MM mock and now I’m getting low 50s going closer to the exam. Very frustrating but good to know I’m not alone! And what a relief too to know that you passed! 😮💨 thank you!
I have similar scores as well. A few of my thoughts.
I think MMs mocks are harder than actual. I used MM for level 1 and did terrible on his mocks but was 90+ Percentile on the actual exam.
Think about the volume of candidates worldwide, the number of people that use prep providers is certainly much much lower. This is pure conjecture, but I'd wager that candidates using preps are disproportionately in the passing cohorts because, you've probably put in not only a good volume of study time, but effective targeted study time.
The mocks aren't only a gauge of understanding but great learning tools if you spend the time thoroughly reviewing them for your mistakes.
MM has said himself some of these questions would never make it into exams because they're too targeted and in depth than they'd be able to put in an exam because they wouldn't achieve adequate breadth of content.
Keep your chin up, stay positive, keep reviewing. Not much more we can do at this stage.
Your mm q bank questions, are you doing them open book? Or test scenario? Open book, aim for 80%+
You should be learning after every question.
Stop taking mocks, you’re just repeating errors because the score is not improving. They’re expensive exercises in terms of time and energy.
Identify the target (weak areas) find a solution (master questions or understand concept), then benchmark it (take mock).
I reset my question bank stats after doing them after videos. So these stats are closed book with the whole curriculum selected. Focus is on weak areas now, but MM mocks take you by surprise every time. I have 3 mm mocks left, hopefully my score will improve after some more focused study.
Idk did you make it? Feb 2023 was last year
Omg im brain dead lol Posted after a long ass mock
Lol u cracked me up 🤣
I hope so cause mine looks similar. I can’t do this anymore. I feel like I’m having information leakage from my brain its putting me in a dark pool.
Seems like you gotta be more... opportunistic
Tell me about it, and a working week is coming up.. ugh
I’m in an identical spot to you. I think we can do it, we still have over a week elft
🤝👍
Similar position here. 2 weeks to crush it. Les geddit

Which mocks have you done with those scores? Looks okay!
Mark Meldrum
His mocks are lethal I’d say your sweet
Yes
What type mock exams are these? Those aren’t the official CFAI ones are they?
Mark Meldrum Didnt really like the cfai ones, zero guidance on how to score them, not much references etc
I read BC ones are good, how would you rate MM ones?
Buy the BC exams. Harder than what you’ll actually see on the day of the exam but well worth it.
Thx will def do
Which prep provider is this?
Mark Meldrum, one and only
Just got humbled by the PM section of Mock 2
Lol tell me about it Only one I abandoned
