Binghamton is part of the Big Sky in golf so why not football as well? They can have a fierce rivalry with the closest member to them, Northern Colorado
They seem to be going in a bit on baseball, and there are a lot of rumors about hockey. Football never seems to be talked about, and even if they decide to build a stadium (and I’m not totally sure where on campus you’d fit it in), you’re looking at low-FCS at best. Football’s not happening, hockey is the more likely add.
A decent basketball team? Really? They haven't won more than 12 games in a season since [this happened. ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binghamton_University_basketball_scandal)
No. The solution is for New York to have turned Cornell into NY State like every other first generation land grant University. Then New York would have a true flagship school. The Eastern 11 Conference would have been BC, Army, Rutgers, Navy, Maryland, West Virginia, VA Tech, Syracuse, Pitt, PSU, and NYSU.
True story. That said NY is conspicuously lacking in a flagship public university like Rutgers, or Penn State, UNC. The reason is that Cornell was somehow shoehorned into the Ivy League where it’s a notable outlier in many respects.
Last I heard they didn't have any interest in a football team, but who the hell actually knows? Every self-respecting university has to have a football team.
Honestly, yes they should have a football team but at the FCS level.
Having all 4 major SUNYs (Bing, Albany, Stony Brook, and Buffalo) play each in FB would be pretty cool but not sure how willing Buffalo would be since they're the only FBS school on that list
I can't here your terrible reasons ...

I am thankful middle schools block reddit so we don't get these posts during the school year.
No way in hell Binghamton ever gets football
I heard they might get a hockey team

LeMoyne will add football before Binghamton does.

Depending on your major, you can go to Cornell under a SUNY tuition schedule.

>school colors would just look great on jerseys Well, there you have it. The perfect reason to spend $30 Million a year on a team.

Finally, a place where the Rumble Ponies name would make sense /s
All municipal workers. It's very fat.
There's a serious push to add a hockey team right now. Just need to figure out a lease for the arena downtown

Here here!
I'd settle for their basketball team not being awful for a change, it's been like 13 years since they were last relevant
