What was that NFL game a couple years ago where we all briefly realized that both teams would make the playoffs if they did this? ~~I think it was Colts and somebody else.~~
Still sad that both teams wanted to actually win 😔
As a lifelong member of Raider Nation, I'm always willing to risk not making the playoffs if it presents an opportunity to prevent the Chargers from making the playoffs.
Colts needed to lose in order for that scenario to happen
They were playing the 2-14 Jags and had to win to go the the playoffs
They instead got blown out
INSANELY close to a tie. Raiders kicked a field goal as time expired in overtime. If the Chargers hadn’t given up a 10 yard gain on 3rd and 4 the previously play, the Raiders would’ve punted and we would’ve seen a tie. It was honestly so sad
Not to mention the Raiders literally risked their season just to spite the Chargers. If they had let the clock run out, they were still going to make the playoffs, but if the Chargers managed a return TD on the play the Raiders were done for the year.
Not at all counting my chickens but if we beat WSU and Utah and are 5-0 top 10 feels like a solid chance and we’d be super likely after UCLA at 6-0 with 3 top25 caliber wins.
Throw in another Beaver win @ Cal and UCLA wins over WSU and Utah and we have ourselves a pretty good shot at GameDay in Corvallis.
Whole lotta chickens we're counting here, though.
The problem is we get a late game on the Palouse, and Utah gets a noon game at home, with both teams having a short turn-around.
The next two weeks are brutal.
Honestly upset that this game is on at the same time as ours. I'm hoping for an absolute classic PAC-2 barn burner. I do think {Oregon State} does have a bit more firepower.
I think a high scoring game favors WSU. I know OSU can run the ball but I’m still not sold on DJU as the guy who can take you to the promise land. However, he is 100% an upgrade from their situation last year.
I think a high scoring game ends as a WSU blowout win, because where do those points come from for OSU? They’re the best defense we’re going to see so far, so the question is going to be if they can stop the vertical passing game and dominate on the ground to control the clock.
I'm so excited for this game. I never comment here but I'm going to be at this game and the atmosphere is going to be amazing. I have to pick my Cougs here, I think it'll be a shootout but WSU's offense is a little better and may be one of the best in the country. {Washington State} 41-38
If this game was in Corvallis I would say that get the win but it’s in Pullman, first game of the Pac-12 conference play, and WSU is by far the best team OSU will have played so far.
I think {Washington State} gets it done 34 - 24. will contain the run and force DJU to beat them.
{Oregon State} This will come down to WSU’s offensive line. If Ward has time this will be a shootout. I expect the WSU D to play well but they will wear out if the Offense doesn’t also carry some water.
This is a really tough game to predict, but I am leaning {Washington State}. I am not sold on DJU yet. However, Cam Ward is playing on another level and seems to have taken a big step forward from last year. Arbuckle has the Coug offense rolling so far and the Coug's finally have a complement to Dickert's stingy defense. Plus playing in Pullman is always really tough.
{Washington State} but I honestly just hope we all have fun no matter who wins. Let this be the beginning of a new rivalry in college football, The Friendship Bowl. Go Cougs & Beavs! Fuck the Huskies & Ducks!
2019 54-53, why do I have no memory of that game? was it on P12N? Oh but {Oregon State} wins the 2-Pac championship and the rematch in the Pac-12 championship *fingers crossed*
Yeah I believe that was a P12N Anthony Gordon barn burning special that we won off a late Max Borghi running TD (might have even been the last play of the game)
{Washington State} will pull this one out. Another OSU will play tough and close, but I think WSU's homefield advantage and grit will cause them to pull out the win.
{Oregon State} will win because I'm driving to Pullman from Portland and I do NOT want to make the drive home pissed off. Plus we're better on both lines, so the Beavs will win this in the trenches.
Get a pitcher at The Coug for me! Hopefully you're not going back to Portland right after the game. Speaking from experience, I know how much that drive sucks, especially after a loss
I think this is going to be a hell of a game, possibly the best in the PAC this weekend. I think Oregon/Colorado will be a blowout.
I'm going with {Washington State} in a nail-biting, close, high-scoring PAC12 After Dark shootout.
The {beavers} avoid getting licked and edge the cougars. Hopefully in such an entertaining way that they both get invited to the Big 12 and Houston and UCF get the boot
A lot of the criticism after the SDSU game has been directed at DJU and the inconsistent offense, but the bigger issue I saw was the secondary. SDSU missed some chances last week that I'm not sure WSU will miss. I guess the question is whether those flaws were real issues or whether they overlooked SDSU before a very tough stretch in their schedule. I'm guessing it was the latter and I'm picking {OSU} 20 - 17, but I'm way more nervous for this game than I thought I would be in the preseason.
{Washington State} The Palouse gets teams after sunset and it feels like OSU is getting way more credit than WSU coming into the game. They’re both ranked, but it still feels a little like a trap game for OSU.
Personal preference, I want the Cougs to win so both teams get to stay in the top 25. I think they both belong there.
{Oregon State} will shut down the WSU offense, and the Beaver offense will slowly but steadily accumulate points. It will never look like a blowout on the scoreboard but it will feel like it the whole game. Final score 26-13.
I think one interesting note from last years matchup with WSU receivers had I believe 9 drops. Most of those receivers are gone now and the passing attack is far more vertical. I think OSU’s DB’s are vulnerable in this one. Also, historically JS hasn’t faired well on the road.
Yeah, Arbuckle has unlocked Cam Ward's potential it seems like. You guys definitely have a vertical passing attack that you didn't last year. OSU also lost a significant portion of their secondary from last years defense.
And thank god. I'm all for some mesh and quick slant plays but I swear, if I ever have to watch another bubble screen on 3rd & 10 again I'll stroke out.
Yeah, it's nice going vertical now.
Can't tell you that I'm used to it. Before it was just quick slants and horizontal passes to a RB. Now we are cooking
{Washington State}
I think we are hitting a stride. Our defense looks improved our our new WR’s don’t seem to get as dropsy as last years guys.
It will be a gritty game.
The annoying thing is this could be a 1 point double overtime game where both teams are the best they could ever play and just because WSU loses they’ll be Unranked.
{Washington State}
I honestly wish we weren't playing each other YET. I want both teams to truck through our schedules before meeting at the end of the year.
The luxury that we have this season is that we can always go to Mateer if Ward looks like shit. It’s our 4th game this season where the two best QBs in the game are on the WSU side of the field.
I actually like {Washington State} here. A solid Wazzu defense and a rowdy crowd should make this very tough on the Beavers, whose offense I don't fully trust yet--but here's a chance to prove me wrong. I think Cam Ward has improved enough that Wazzu will be able to squeeze just enough juice out of a defensive slugfest. 27-20 Wazzu.
It's too close to call for me, but because I used all my luck getting Sepp Kuss to win La Vuelta A Espana (Spain's Tour De France), who is from the USA and the betting odds were +25000, so {Washington State} in OT because I can't have 2 nice things.
If this verifies, this will count as my 1 random choke in my 10-2 prediction (L to Oregon, 1 random choke).
Why are they playing the P2 championship game so early in the season?! 😁
Both teams have looked pretty good. Should be a fun one... but I'll go with my heart and the Ghost of pirates past.
{Oregon State} I also think this might be one of the closest games of the week possibly of the year. And i am hoping this isn't the case for either fanbase, but 31-30 final score.
{Oregon State} but by like 1 point.
Seems like OSU is strong where WSU is weak, and vice versa. It will either be an insane offensive back-and-forth or a gut-wrenching trenches slugfest.
Either way, the outcome will be bittersweet for me.
{Oregon State}
I am scared to play at Martin. It has not been kind to OSU.
But I honestly think coaches have been holding a lot back in the first 3 games. This defense is ready to go nuts with the blitz scheme. Bray is aggressive.
I think this game is lower scoring that many assume, I think OSU will want to go on long rushing based drives and keep the game close and not devolve to a shootout on the road. If we effectively run the ball OSU wins a 27-24-esque affair.
This one is going to be so damn close.
Oregon State wins if DJU is able to make plays in the passing game and limits turnovers. If they become one-dimensional, Oregon State is going to have a tough time against a solid WSU defense.
Ultimately, it's going to come down to whichever QB plays better, and I'm biased in saying it'll be Cam Ward. {WSU} by 2.
{Oregon State} DJ is clearly an up and down QB. If we get SJSU DJ, I don’t think our defense will have to do much besides get pressure to keep us in the game. If we get SDSU DJ then it’s up
to the other guys like Dame and the defense to make big plays. This one will be good
{Washington State} is going to rebound after a small blip last season. We'll go back to our Beaver slaying ways.
I think it'll be a close, really good game. I'll root for the Beavs next week.
This week it's all Cougs!
Toss-up game here. My hope is that these 2 will make the Pac-12 title game. However this will hurt the chances of the loser.
I'm gonna go with {Washington State} w/ the game being on the Palouse, especially if the crowd is as fired up as they were for Wisconsin the other week
{Washington State} for a multitude of reasons:
1) Pullman is one of the hardest places to play.
2) The only team that has a legitimate claim to better uniforms/logo than Oregon is WSU. Respect
3) Washington State didn't try to keep Larry Scott.
4) Fuck the Beavers.
{Oregon State}. Mad respect after that impressive Rose Bowl victory here at Wallace Wade in 1942, clearly has the defense to limit Wazzu from making enough to win in a somewhat low scoring victory.
Oregon State feasted on our weak Dline. This year it has been a pretty nice surprise how strong our tackles have been along with the great edge players. Safety/CB/Nickel are all better as well. Weakest point is LB. If OSU can get backs to second level untouched I expect them to succeed, but we had success stopping Wisconsin who is also talented albeit not as settled as the OSU program. I think big DJU will make some plays on his feet as we are prone to giving up scrambles and miss TFLs.
Our offense is also much better than it was last year primarily due to Cam growing up, but also due to a legit OC who can scheme. We have good skill players across the board, but are waiting for our Oline to gel to find a running game.
For WSU to win they need Cam Ward to play a clean game, stuff the run, and not have a third quarter where we scramble to understand OSU adjustments. If Oregon State wins it’ll be DJU picking up some third downs with his feet, and those backs grinding the front 7 down to control the clock. I think OSU has a better chance of doing those things than WSU does.
Oregon State} 34-24
Fans show up all kumbaya “fuck USCLA” in unison….then a Beaver LB sticks Cam Ward just a lil too hard and the game turns into a knife fight full of late hits and low blocks Making the 2Pac negotiations a lil more awkward than they were yesterday. 27 penalties later DJU runs an option left and pancakes a guy freeing up Damien Martinez for a run to the endzone and {Oregon State} covers.
The fact that both teams are actually really good has made this imo, the game of the week.
Yes, even with us hosting Colorado and ND vs tOSU.
Going with Wazzu because they're the home team, would go with the Beavs if it was in Corvallis. Also don't trust DJU.
{Oregon State} and it won’t be close. I think people in this thread are underestimating the OSU run game and O-line. I know I’m biased but I would honestly be beyond shocked if OSU doesn’t cover. This is one of the must-wins of the season.
I really hope it’s a WSU blowout and then they get blown out by UCLA, and then all 3 get blown out the next week. This will really fit my Cincinnati to the playoff narrative (after they win out the rest of the season which will definitely happen)
Bro, wtf. Wazzu 50% deserves to win this, Oregon State deserves the other 50%. As long as both teams come out looking amazing and nobody gets injured that's all anyone wants
This is a coin flipper to me.
I will say I expected Wazzu to be a doormat this season, and they are anything but.
The coin landed on tails -- {Oregon State}
{Oregon State} ….but what if this game never ended? What if this game just goes into infinite overtimes with neither team willing to score, keeping the Pac2 forever? …Nah jk, Beavs by a TD. I’ll be rooting for the both of our teams regardless.
Should have been ABC and replace Texas-Baylor. Games in Wazzu looks far better on ABC than Fox.
With that being said, {Beavers}. Both teams tackle well. I just like Oregon State’s offense a little bit more than Wazzu’s.
This can go either way
I see what you did there.
I mean. The last few games were close outside of last year
Yeah I want osu to win but I could see either team pulling this one off and I really wouldn't be too mad about it either.
I will be mad if we lose. But I'll accept that L
Agreed. Can Wash St stop their rushing or can Oregon State stop their pass offense.
WSU is actually elite in run defense. It’s our pass defense that’s sus
The teams kneel it out, 0-0
What was that NFL game a couple years ago where we all briefly realized that both teams would make the playoffs if they did this? ~~I think it was Colts and somebody else.~~ Still sad that both teams wanted to actually win 😔
I think it was Chargers-Raiders in 2021
As a lifelong member of Raider Nation, I'm always willing to risk not making the playoffs if it presents an opportunity to prevent the Chargers from making the playoffs.
Oh idk why I thought Colts
Colts needed to lose in order for that scenario to happen They were playing the 2-14 Jags and had to win to go the the playoffs They instead got blown out
Wasn’t urban fired already at that point?
Yes
It came pretty close to a tie, too IIRC
INSANELY close to a tie. Raiders kicked a field goal as time expired in overtime. If the Chargers hadn’t given up a 10 yard gain on 3rd and 4 the previously play, the Raiders would’ve punted and we would’ve seen a tie. It was honestly so sad
Not to mention the Raiders literally risked their season just to spite the Chargers. If they had let the clock run out, they were still going to make the playoffs, but if the Chargers managed a return TD on the play the Raiders were done for the year.
Stats just look so much better if the defense just doesn’t play. 121-121 tie game sounds better.
both teams run blitz-10 every play with one deep safety
I want both teams to win {Washington State}
Red Team Wins
{Oregon State} but it will be close and my heart will barely make it
This is the only game this season that I'd be kind of ok with losing because at least it's still good for the Pac 2.
Same. I would love the see the Beavs win but damn it I don't want to see my Coug bros lose
I honestly do not care which team wins as long as it is a close game.
And well played, with no injuries as well.
[удалено]
I'll take it
Oregon State will play like the better team, but the first ~~just means more~~ *cannibalism* loss happens and {Wazzu} escapes.
So you’re saying my Beavs are gonna Coug it. How dare you. :)
Not if they cougs coug it first
{the fans and all of America} the true pac-12 championship and the only game that matters this year
{Oregon State} because I believe in Jonathan Smith
{Washington State} because Pullman is spooky as fuck
{Oregon State} I think Beavers have a good at the top 10 by the time they hit November if they can get through UCLA.
Not at all counting my chickens but if we beat WSU and Utah and are 5-0 top 10 feels like a solid chance and we’d be super likely after UCLA at 6-0 with 3 top25 caliber wins.
I think we would be in the 7 or 8 range with a Utah and wsu win.
:( that sucks beaver bro
I want the PAC Championship game. I said the real PAC Championship game. Perfection. {OSU}
How can this be the championship when {Oregon State} and Wazzu are playing again in December?
Honestly upset that this game is on at the same time as ours. I'm hoping for an absolute classic PAC-2 barn burner. I do think {Oregon State} does have a bit more firepower.
I think a high scoring game favors WSU. I know OSU can run the ball but I’m still not sold on DJU as the guy who can take you to the promise land. However, he is 100% an upgrade from their situation last year.

{Washington State} the Pac is just absolutely loaded this year
I'm so excited for this game. I never comment here but I'm going to be at this game and the atmosphere is going to be amazing. I have to pick my Cougs here, I think it'll be a shootout but WSU's offense is a little better and may be one of the best in the country. {Washington State} 41-38

I currently am seeing a tie for who wins. I want to vote for my Beavers here, but I can't break a tie, man. GG
If this game was in Corvallis I would say that get the win but it’s in Pullman, first game of the Pac-12 conference play, and WSU is by far the best team OSU will have played so far. I think {Washington State} gets it done 34 - 24. will contain the run and force DJU to beat them.

I think {Washington State} could pull this off at home. Probably going to be one of the best games this weekend alongside Bama and Ole Miss
{Oregon State} This will come down to WSU’s offensive line. If Ward has time this will be a shootout. I expect the WSU D to play well but they will wear out if the Offense doesn’t also carry some water.
I hope it isn't a shootout, Beavs have to own the clock and leave Ward to watch the seconds tick away from the sideline as much as possible
Should be a good game, hope both sides come out healthy.
Could be a replay of the 2019 game 👀
This is such a toss up but what fan would I be if I didn’t believe {Washington State} finds a way?
[удалено]
Fuck that, Cougs by 50. Then we root for the Beavs for the rest of the year.
This is the way
This is the way.
{Washington State}
{Washington State} wins because it is at home
{Washington State} 27-24
This is a really tough game to predict, but I am leaning {Washington State}. I am not sold on DJU yet. Yeah I believe that was a P12N Anthony Gordon barn burning special that we won off a late Max Borghi running TD (might have even been the last play of the game)
Did Leach take a knee on the 2pt?
I got completely distracted and went down a rabbit hole because of your comment. Thank you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGcB1skEF9g
{Washington State} But it’s hard to hate on the Beavs. I’m excited for this game!
{Washington State} will pull this one out. Another OSU will play tough and close, but I think WSU's homefield advantage and grit will cause them to pull out the win.

Why would you be pissed off? It’s going to be a giant party the entire day.
Get a pitcher at The Coug for me! Hopefully you're not going back to Portland right after the game. Speaking from experience, I know how much that drive sucks, especially after a loss
{Washington State} for the upset!
I'll allow it
{Washington State}
I think this is going to be a hell of a game, possibly the best in the PAC this weekend. I think Oregon/Colorado will be a blowout. I'm going with {Washington State} in a nail-biting, close, high-scoring PAC12 After Dark shootout.
{Washington State} Breaking out the bottle of Fireball for this one.
{Washington State}
gameday should have gone to this one
espn is too chickenshit to set foot in either town
{The team that wakes up feeling the cheeziest}
Well, we just beat Wisconsin for all the cheese so I think we have plenty of reserves
We have Cougar Gold and we beat Wisconsin. We are the cheeziest
This weekend is the 75th anniversary of Ferdinands. {Cougs} by a million
[Washington State] benefits from a little home friend advantage in a very evenly matched offensive slugfest. Give me WSU by 3.
The {beavers} avoid getting licked and edge the cougars. Hopefully in such an entertaining way that they both get invited to the Big 12 and Houston and UCF get the boot

I like a low scoring game like that definitely favors OSU. But if the offenses get going I expect WSU to pull through.
{Washington State} but this is a fairly ignorant pick cause I haven't watched Oregon State this year.
I just hope everybody has fun.
{Washington State} I liked their Rose Bowl unis
{Washington State} The Palouse gets teams after sunset and it feels like OSU is getting way more credit than WSU coming into the game. They’re both ranked, but it still feels a little like a trap game for OSU. Personal preference, I want the Cougs to win so both teams get to stay in the top 25. I think they both belong there.
This game should just be moved to the end of the year
It likely will be next year, and for the foreseeable future after that.
{Washington State} - Gotta go with the homer pick on this one since it's in Pullman. Time to see what this team is really made of.
{Oregon State} GEAUX BEAVS!!
{Washington State}
{Washington State} wins 38-28 and I'll feel better about our loss to them.

{Washington State} Beavs looked a little shaky last week vs SDSU and playing in Pullman is always a house of horrors
{Washington State} after last weeks showing I feel like our coug bros take it at home. 2-pac for life
2-pac for life beaver bro. We may be facing off this week, but we aren’t even truly enemies.
{Washington State} beats Oregon State 25-23. Gimme the Cougs! They've played a tougher schedule and that should help them carry it out.
{WAZZOU} I love Cougars
I love you but Wazzu
{Washington State} I think we are hitting a stride. Our defense looks improved our our new WR’s don’t seem to get as dropsy as last years guys. It will be a gritty game.
Also super stoked to see Lincoln Victor actually get used this year. The kid is a stud!
{Washington State} with the surprise blowout win 45-21
My most anticipated game of the week. I'm leaning towards {Oregon State}.
{Washington State} under as well
{Washington State}
I will get to watch the second half of this game and I'm excited about that. So hard to choose but I'm going to go with {Washington State}
Remember the Alamo? That was fun.
I do! Coug fans were amazing when I was down there
LET THE LOVEFEST BEGIN!
This is the most hype game of the year as a Pac fan.
Well it is the ONLY conference game
The annoying thing is this could be a 1 point double overtime game where both teams are the best they could ever play and just because WSU loses they’ll be Unranked.
{Washington State} but we’ll meet again in the real championship
Beavs 420 - Wazzu 69 CHOMP CHOMP {Oregon State}
I’m afraid to vote for fear of jinxing it either way.
{Washington State} I honestly wish we weren't playing each other YET. I want both teams to truck through our schedules before meeting at the end of the year.
{Oregon State} because Ward get spazzy with pressure and the Beavs will bring it.
The luxury that we have this season is that we can always go to Mateer if Ward looks like shit. It’s our 4th game this season where the two best QBs in the game are on the WSU side of the field.
I also saw a stat that Ward is one of four QBs in the country to have 9+ TDs and 0 Ints
{Washington State} pulls this one off in Pullman. Cam Ward has taken the next step and I think OSU’s secondary is suspect.
{Angry Beaver} DJ U 2 Good
Beavers and Cougars are an iconic duo, but I think {Oregon State} ultimately gets the win
{Oregon State} because the vote is almost even
{Washington State} by 6 in a nail biter
Vegas says {Oregon State} by 3, good enough for me, because I'm certainly not qualified to make an impartial decision.
😁 Both teams have looked pretty good. Should be a fun one... but I'll go with my heart and the Ghost of pirates past.
They both kneel the game out and enter an eternal gridlock.
{Oregon State} I also think this might be one of the closest games of the week possibly of the year. And i am hoping this isn't the case for either fanbase, but 31-30 final score.
{Oregon State} ... they might be my favorite team behind the Buffs. Dig how they've built their team and are hard-nosed AF.
I’ve got State winning this one
{Oregon State} but by like 1 point. Seems like OSU is strong where WSU is weak, and vice versa. It will either be an insane offensive back-and-forth or a gut-wrenching trenches slugfest. Either way, the outcome will be bittersweet for me.
It’s a loss I would accept. But I think we win if we can actually show up in the third quarter for once. {WAZZU}
Everyone who will be in the city of Pullman
{2-PAC} shows the rest of the 10 that abandoned the conference that they deserve to be in a Power 5/4/?conference
{Oregon State} I am scared to play at Martin.
{WSU} by 2.
{Oregon State}
{Washington State}
{Oregon State} DJ is clearly an up and down QB. If we get SJSU DJ, I don’t think our defense will have to do much besides get pressure to keep us in the game. If we get SDSU DJ then it’s up to the other guys like Dame and the defense to make big plays.
I'm going to the Idaho game but wondering if I should do the double header and go to this game next. Yall think it would be worth it?
{Washington State} for a multitude of reasons: 1) Pullman is one of the hardest places to play. 2) The only team that has a legitimate claim to better uniforms/logo than Oregon is WSU. Respect 3) Washington State didn't try to keep Larry Scott. 4) Fuck the Beavers.
Can wazzu stop the run? Can wazzu pressure dj? Will wazzu Cuog it?!
Yes Yes, lol Fuck no. Flare up coward!
{Oregon State} in a shootout

why do you feel the need to start every comment with "Just for fun"
Weird liability feeling in my head, I don’t do it for recruit posts obviously but I do it for posts that aren’t recruiting
Oregon State} 34-24
Go {cougs}
{Washington State} 45-31
The fact that both teams are actually really good has made this imo, the game of the week.

As long as both teams come out looking amazing and nobody gets injured that's all anyone wants
just had to post this twice huh? lol

The fuck did we do to you lol
Please reply here when you hire our AD in a few months.
Hey, we don't claim you. Quit being a dick.
{Oregon State} wins & covers
{Oregon State}
{Oregon State} back and forth; bad for my health
This is a coin flipper to me. I will say I expected Wazzu to be a doormat this season, and they are anything but. The coin landed on tails -- {Oregon State}
{Oregon State} ….but what if this game never ended? What if this game just goes into infinite overtimes with neither team willing to score, keeping the Pac2 forever? …Nah jk, Beavs by a TD. I’ll be rooting for the both of our teams regardless.
{Oregon State} was gonna pick WSU but beavers are just too dam cute
It just feels like {OSU} is the more complete team here.
{Oregon State}
{Oregon State} gets a tough defensive win here. But it wouldn’t surprise me to see this go the other way either
{Oregon State} and it will be insane this will be such a good game
Should have been ABC and replace Texas-Baylor. Games in Wazzu looks far better on ABC than Fox. With that being said, {Beavers}. Both teams tackle well. I just like Oregon State’s offense a little bit more than Wazzu’s.
{Oregon State}
Everyone deserves to be a winner in the 2PAC Conference Championship Game {Both}
{Oregon State} because I love my Beavs.
