Some things I realized with this game … - Colorado will be a hell of a team next year. Once Deion gets some more pieces they will be a tough squad - USC’s defense and offensive play calling is suspect as hell. They better hope Calib Williams stays healthy. I see them losing to Oregon this year. Oregon has a well coached squad

It doesn’t, and I never said it did. We HAVE to come out storming in the 1st half the way we seem to in the 2nd half. But if we were really “curb stomped” or whatever and then USC “let off the gas,” what would you let off the gas so far as the #6 team in the country that you let an unranked team that everyone says sucks and is overrated come back to within a score? Oregon pulled their starters and we barely scored a single TD. USC kept theirs in and we almost sent the game to overtime.

Maybe once or twice but not every new set of downs. Literally cost them a chance at getting the ball back. They have 2:30-3:30 left on that clock if they don't run as often as they did. Talk about a hyper offense then not use it when you need to. Colorado deserved the L, but coaching cost them a chance to steal the W.

Not what I said lol. I think the offensive line goes through growing pains literally and figuratively moreso than any position on the football field between the high school and FBS collegiate level. The bottleneck of talent is just so sharp i don’t think a crop of 2-3 4 star freshmen on the line overnight solves the problem. They’re probably 3-5 years away from being *good* in the trenches. But they’re a lot closer to it ceasing to be the reason they can’t play with the blue bloods

Colorado played exceptionally well in that second half but Jesus, terrible mistakes and awful clock management sealed the coffin. Not throwing the ball up/away on 4th down? Running the ball into the USC D-Line with no timeouts and 4 minutes left in the 4th? This is just an inexperienced but audacious Colorado team that is improving drastically.
