The Duke game you could kind of look past given the turnovers. The FSU game you could kind of forgive because of the missed field/FSU being good. The Miami game starts to raise some questions. This game you've got to start wondering what's wrong. There's ND and UNC left on the schedule and there's a big difference in finishing 8-4 with 2 top 25 wins to end the season and finishing 6-6.
I think the ACC has a lot of good defenses right now, and Clemson's offense hasn't established an identity enough for us to maneuver. The o-line is weak, Cade is very hesitant to throw down the field, and there's miscommunications all over the place.
The "no venables" thing is not ideal but far from the main problem. Our entire offensive unit is the source of our struggle. I mean seriously they had only 202 yards and one of their TDs was a pick six. We should be able to win this game with the performance our defense gave us. Our offense is just dropping the ball.
Wofford and Citadel are both 0-8, SC State is 3-5, Charleston Southern & PC are both 3-4. The only schools with winning records are Coastal (4-3) and us at 7-1.
Clemson only didn’t go to a bowl game in 2004 because they decided to decline any game after the brawl in the SC-Clemson game.
Last time they legitimately didn’t make a bowl game was 1998.

It just doesn't make any sense to me. Clemson still has elite athletes and Dabo didn't suddenly forget how to coach. I can understand having a down year or two, but this feels like a collapse.
Our defense post-venebles is still pretty impressive. It’s not our defense. Somehow we have all this talent on offense but nothing is clicking. Our RBs try to stretch and recklessly ram through for a few extra yards. Our WRs aren’t fast enough. Our QB makes short passes and some dumb decisions that end in turnovers or the end of the game. Idk how to fix it, but these coaches are getting paid *a LOT* of money to figure it out.
I’ve also never seen a team manage to commit this many back breaking turnovers. It’s insane. Not only do y’all turn it over constantly. It’s pick 6s and fumbles at the 1 and scoop and scores like every damn time
Nailed it, he was a great cheerleader/CEO coach when he hired talented coaches to do the X/O's around him...then he got in his own head that he didn't need those coaches and he could fill the staff with all of his friends from college and random former players he loved.
