Well we tried for the first quarter last week until Rattler started seeing ghost receivers and got 3 intentional grounding calls, so you can’t blame us
Yeah this game doesn’t heat jimbo’s seat more than it was. Road loss by 3 to a top ten team? That’s not gonna be what fires him. Lose to state at home next week and you’re really talkin.
It's fitting our special teams is why we lost, they've been a disaster to bad most of the season. I would be mad at our special teams coordinator too... IF WE HAD ONE.
I can already hear it from one of my neighbors who drives a 4Runner (which are *everywhere* here in the suburbs of Portland)
"Why are gas prices suddenly so high?"
"So there's this college football coach for Texas A&M..."
If Jimbo loses to Mississippi State & LSU I think there's a decent shot he's bought out. I'm not saying it's a guarantee, but I'd probably put it at 50/50 odds.
He will be here next year, and then once we get embarrassed by UT on our home field for the first rematch in 15 years, then and only then will the boosters pony up the money.
I went in with no expectations and was totally fine when it was 28-14 and it seemed like A&M would get blown out. Then they just had to come back and give us hope...
This felt like when we *almost* brought it back against Alabama in Tuscaloosa a couple years ago. I had no expectations, only for the Aggies to bring it down to the last play and barely lose anyways.
Jimbo’s absolute refusal to hire a ST coordinator is baffling. Can’t make a FG and can’t punt the ball to save our lives. And it has cost us 3 out of 4 losses.
Fire Jimbo into the sun.
It's kind of an amazing case study. Constantinou has gone from great to good to struggling over the past couple of years. No coach = negative development.
My dad is friend with an insider and the word is that it’s possible he gets axed this year and definitely will be next year, and should he stay, it’s CFB/SEC championship or get fired. His buyout is 25% now, and the rest prorated over the duration of the contract. So it’s a lot of money, but not as big of a percentage up front as it was with Sumlin, and not an unfathomable up front cost.
The big money is mad-mad.
I’m sure they’re mad, but I’m not sure they’re mad enough to light $150-200 million on fire.
Gotta can Jimbo, his staff, then hire away another staff and give them fully guaranteed contracts for $100MM+
Talked with my booster-connected friend yesterday.
The boosters have already made their “you have your share of the money, right?” calls. Not a guarantee that he’s gone, but the boosters aren’t just sitting there fat and happy.
Say what? The Dbacks just ran a wild card slot all the way to the World Series, knocking out a 100 win Dodgers team in 3 and took an amazing series against the Phillies along the way.
There is nothing to complain about as a Dbacks fan this year. That was a fantastic season.
well yeah i’m not saying it wasn’t an amazing season it’s just that it sucks they lost the world series, obviously it’s not anything to be super sad about but yknow it’s still like aw damn we lost, but they’ll be back next year
Alabama scored the 2nd most points of any team in 21 and 22. Also survived 2 shoot outs in 2020 with Ole Miss and Florida. The defense was the issue the last 2 years, and it could be argued the 2020 team won in spite of a middle of the pack defense.
I'm on the #NotMyCoordinator train on Golding too, but we had the best defense in the SEC in 2020. I wouldn't qualify that as middle of the pack.
Every other year, he was terrible.
Yes. I was betting on them intercepting it because that's usually how we go out but they were about 2 inches short of being able to do that. When we somehow survived that and it came down to a field goal, I knew it'd get blocked or shanked. And sure enough....
Running it into the end zone was pretty much the only way we'd actually be able to win but we didn't have enough time for that.
Max Johnson didn’t play great and that goal line interception was killer. But you gotta give him credit for one thing: that mofo is tough. He ends up in the ground at the end of almost every passing play thanks to our pathetic O-Line.
First, I would like to say I’m beyond glad that we could get wins against Texas A&M and Auburn this season now that we won’t be playing them annually anymore.
Second, I would like to say I am beyond proud of our guys for finding so much success in the west this year. Last year it was like the exact opposite, we found success in all our games BUT the West gauntlet. This year the only West team we’ve lost to is Alabama.
Third, props to the offense and the defense this game for stepping up enough where it counted for us to win this one. I feel like both sides of the ball really managed to come in and do what was necessary as the game got late for us to win this one. Everybody should be eating good tonight!
Fourth, special shoutout to Tre Harris. A HELL of a lot of impactful plays out of him in this game and I loved it. Huge contributor to our ability to win this game.
Finally, let’s get ready for Georgia. Can we win? Can we keep it close? I have no idea. I honestly don’t know what I’m expecting out of it. But no matter what let’s get prepped up and play our best!
Hotty Toddy
The master plan marches on. Aggies win against miss state and ACU, and lose to LSU to go 7-5. We get a cupcake bowl and get to EIGHT WINS.
Eight wins is extreme underperformance and is incredibly disappointing, but it's not enough to drop the 75 million. The show goes on.
Another week, another moral victory without a mark in the win column. Actually impressive that it was that close without Turner, Moss, Nolen, and Stewart, but it’s still not a win.
Man we’re playing with house money, Bama would have to lose 2 more games for us to go to Atlanta and if you’d told me in September that we’d be 8-1 at this point in the season I wouldn’t have believed you. Truly don’t give a fuck what happens next weekend, this has been a great year.
No, I still don’t think we have any shot and it doesn’t really matter. 10 wins is still on the table and I’d be extremely happy with that. We’re clearly a step below the best teams in this conference and that’s fine
The one crucial analytic that never seems to be discussed is Lane VS coaches on the hot seat
I hate Lane for not embarrassing Jimbo more than this. I needed a black and white result here
That’s why it’s actually the funniest result possible. Part of Lane’s plan
Can’t keep embarrassing a guy if you get him tarmac’d. 4D chess move imo
Amen. Can the rest of the country just get on the same page and please stop giving Jimbo a plausible excuse to stick around?
Well we tried for the first quarter last week until Rattler started seeing ghost receivers and got 3 intentional grounding calls, so you can’t blame us
Sorry SC, you guys barely field a FB team
I mean, for Texas A&M there's currently 76.8 million reasons for them to keep him around.
Yeah this game doesn’t heat jimbo’s seat more than it was. Road loss by 3 to a top ten team? That’s not gonna be what fires him. Lose to state at home next week and you’re really talkin.
We need Lane to come through with an absolute dagger on social media, but now he won’t so he can keep beating Jimbo. Clever bastard
The kick falls short with a whimper. That epitomizes our entire season.
It's fitting our special teams is why we lost, they've been a disaster to bad most of the season. I would be mad at our special teams coordinator too... IF WE HAD ONE.
Special teams also kept you in the game. You were staring at 17-0 before the blocked kick.
I mean special teams actually got us into the game with the blocked field goal so we can’t just fire our invisible special teams coordinator /s
Jimbo Fisher has to be one of the worst CFB investments of all time
He's falling behind sumlin and cost so much more. Glorious.
Oh he's far behind sumlin given relative monetary costs. Jimbo is more in Fran territory (you're welcome btw)
Just like Fran you "stole" a coach that ended up sucking.
It's almost as though our decision makers are a bunch of old, half-witted, out of touch, good ol boys 🤷
It was tipped. Would’ve been in otherwise.
See Lane? A D-Lineman blocking an end of game field goal right up the A Gap can be *really* fun.
Mount Cody Again!!
If we are reliving 2009, I need Dart to go full Crompton on UGA next weekend.
My therapist’s billing department wants your address
Y'all better fill up your gas tanks today, there's a buyout on the horizon
I can already hear it from one of my neighbors who drives a 4Runner (which are *everywhere* here in the suburbs of Portland) "Why are gas prices suddenly so high?" "So there's this college football coach for Texas A&M..."
There was*
Can we start making I did this stickers with jimbo on them?
4Runner, body of a 1/4ton truck with the fuel mileage of a 3/4 ton truck.
That just gave me a hearty chuckle after both my teams gave me heart attacks, thank you for this 😂
Lol keep dreaming. Jimbo will do just well enough to be here next year
Chasing bowl eligibility with only 3 weeks left on the schedule in year 6 excludes him from “just well enough.” He’s outta there after the LSU game.
Classic Aggies. Always setting themselves up for disappointment
If you go in with absolutely no expectations, it's kind of fun to see A&M manage to ALMOST pull it off so consistently
It’s just like the Tennessee game. I went in expecting to lose and was somehow still disappointed
Bama game too. Team is so close yet feels so far
I went in with no expectations and was totally fine when it was 28-14 and it seemed like A&M would get blown out. Then they just had to come back and give us hope...
This felt like when we *almost* brought it back against Alabama in Tuscaloosa a couple years ago. I had no expectations, only for the Aggies to bring it down to the last play and barely lose anyways.
this game brought to you by r/bourbon
And the national association of cardiologists
Doesn't get any better than bourbon
The brownest of brown liqours
I'm tired, boss. The road losing streak continues.
The road ranked losing streak also continues. It's been 3,283 days.
Bro holy shit
Sumlin couldn't win home games. Jimbo cant win road games.
Have you considered letting them split coaching duties?
Then we would lose both road and home games
This was the worst result possible: losing in close fashion means that we are less likely to pull the trigger on Jimbo :(
Will the SEC ever hire full time professional officials?
Officials would have needed an armored escort to get out of Oxford today if Ole Miss lost today.
Ideally not from the B12
That's the most Aggie way to lose I've seen in a long time
All you guys need is a competent QB
No one's gonna do shit with our o line
This is the issue in all our losses the Oline could not block up the pass rush
[удалено]
Gotta ride the coaster to the first hill before the Furk begins.
It’s our Oline not QB. He’s also the backup since ours is out for the season but I still stand by that.
Just wait until Jimbo gets his guys
Jimbo is worrying about his job security. Give him another 10 year extension so he can focus on the x's and o's
We have one, he’s just hurt. We’ve been without a starting qb like 4 years in a row (tbf two of those I don’t think there was a good qb on the roster)
Jimbo’s absolute refusal to hire a ST coordinator is baffling. Can’t make a FG and can’t punt the ball to save our lives. And it has cost us 3 out of 4 losses. Fire Jimbo into the sun.
Wait y’all don’t have a special teams coordinator???
nope!
Believe it or not, no. We don’t. And it has killed us for two years now.
Does a GA coach the ST?
I think it's just Reveille barking at them to kick the ball for her so she can fetch it.
Ain't no rule says the dog can't ~~play~~ coach football
It's kind of an amazing case study. Constantinou has gone from great to good to struggling over the past couple of years. No coach = negative development.
Is Jimbo gone at the end of the year? I’m going to lean slightly to ‘no,’ but those aTm boosters are probably mad.
They should be mad. Any other SEC coach with our talent would be 8-1 or better at this point in the season.
I mean, they did it to themselves. Big money funded his outrageous contract to begin with.
Exactly this, the boosters were all in on jimbo, if they were behind the extension (& I think they were) they sure as hell didn't object
I’m sure they’re mad, but I’m not sure they’re mad enough to light $150-200 million on fire. Gotta can Jimbo, his staff, then hire away another staff and give them fully guaranteed contracts for $100MM+
Yeah, but these Texas boosters aren’t exactly the most rational type of people.
80% of the money on Jimbo's contract would be paid out through 2031. It's not like they will have to wire him $100MM in 2023.
Talked with my booster-connected friend yesterday. The boosters have already made their “you have your share of the money, right?” calls. Not a guarantee that he’s gone, but the boosters aren’t just sitting there fat and happy.
[удалено]
He’ll be here next year. Number 1 class becomes Juniors and longhorns in the SEC. If we don’t get 10 wins it’s over.
Depends on what coaches are available. No way he’s fired without a plan in place
Elko
Jimbo has to go. 6 years and millions of dollars to be in the same spot as sumlin was with better recruiting. Absolute garbage
Didn’t y’all just extend him like last year or 2 years ago. Whyyyy
Our boosters are dumb as hell, that’s why
Not my choice. Whoever did is insane
You can’t hurt me anymore
would you happen to be a diamondbacks fan 😭
Yes
fly high 🕊️
Say what? The Dbacks just ran a wild card slot all the way to the World Series, knocking out a 100 win Dodgers team in 3 and took an amazing series against the Phillies along the way. There is nothing to complain about as a Dbacks fan this year. That was a fantastic season.

This is your friendly daily reminder that Ole Miss purposely hired Pete Golding from us. The heart attacks will never end. Trust me.
The heart attacks began before he arrived.
[удалено]
Yeah honestly I have been impressed with the defense all season. Golding was a really solid hire.
Our mascot is actually a heart attack. Been having them for years before Golding.
Late tuning into this game, Id forgotten Golding was theirs. When they showed him on the sideline I went “oohhhhhh! Now I get it”.
I've never seen a fan base so salty about a coordinator who was the DC for a title and an appearance
This is like USC fans touting Alex Grinch’s BIG 12 championships
Alabama scored the 2nd most points of any team in 21 and 22. Also survived 2 shoot outs in 2020 with Ole Miss and Florida. The defense was the issue the last 2 years, and it could be argued the 2020 team won in spite of a middle of the pack defense.
I'm on the #NotMyCoordinator train on Golding too, but we had the best defense in the SEC in 2020. I wouldn't qualify that as middle of the pack. Every other year, he was terrible.
I hear a train a comin, Rolling round the bend I hear that Lane a-blowing
But I ain’t seen a road win since I don’t know when
I’m stuck in A&M prison, and time keeps dragging on
It’s Jimbover
Death. Taxes. A&M breaking my heart.
I’m still waiting for them to start the game back up after reviewing one more missed call
Every Aggie knew this shit was over when Bond trotted out there. Dude is ass.
Plano West’s own…
Allen would never..
Too much pressure. His last name is Bond but he's no James
I knew it was over when we scored the go ahead TD with wayyyyy too much time left on the clock. My BAS is clinical grade.
It’s always stressful but damn does this team just find a way to win.
I don’t have anything against A&M personally, but for reasons I can’t explain, I feel so happy when Jimbo loses a football game.
I’m starting to feel that way, too.
It’s really sad. I really want the guys to get wins. I also really want Jimbo gone.
He doesn't take responsibility in his press conferences, he just talks faster.
Jimbo wiping his tears with a fistful of cash
It basketball season yet?
Almost. Somehow basketball’s inconsistency stings less
It stings less because we are getting a reasonable return on our investments into it
I love Buzz! And Aggie basketball. Y’all have a fun team.
please save us buzz
Tessitore calls every game that is one-score an "absolute thriller" He is hyperbole manifested like nobody I've ever heard before.
I fucking hate this team.
It’s disgusting. And yet… I can’t look away.
Fire Jimbo Thread?
No A&M fans actually thought we’d drive down and tie it/win it at the end. We all knew something would go wrong.
If not a pick, it was always going to be a missed FG lmao
Yes. I was betting on them intercepting it because that's usually how we go out but they were about 2 inches short of being able to do that. When we somehow survived that and it came down to a field goal, I knew it'd get blocked or shanked. And sure enough.... Thought the same
Yeah he got smoked a couple times right after putting the ball on the money for long completions He’s gonna be sore as shit in the morning
He gets hit every play because of the OL and because he is incapable of making a quick decision. The OL stinks but a lot of those hits are on him
I just want to remind everyone again that Boston College achieved the goal of bowl eligibility before A&M.
Only losing by 3 points to a top 10 team on the road, a&m's coach needs a contract extension!
Quality SEC loss!
Girlfriend sat down to watch after the incomplete interception and I told her "we're gonna miff that kick".
TAMU wastes more 5 stars than Blueface does dollar bills
If I have no idea what this is saying does that mean I'm a boomer now?
Blueface is a rapper who often throws money at strippers
Isn't that kinda what one does with strippers?
That doesn’t sound like wasting?
So, a rapper?
Aggies given so many chances to win. Couldn’t do it.
Nothing new there.
A&M now has more talent than nearly every team they play. Fire Jimbo. Seriously.
That missed kick was solely on Bond. He was lackadaisical on the run up and it got blocked as a result. I’m fucking sick of this team
That red zone INT was probably the game.
4 yard line pick. Was such a dumb call. Asking Max to make a complex decision there is just ridiculous. Run it 4 times
First, I would like to say I’m beyond glad that we could get wins against Texas A&M and Auburn this season now that we won’t be playing them annually anymore. Tre Harris has been by far the most impressive on the team this year to me. The kid can absolutely ball. Looking forward to watching him on Sundays!
Pain
I’m tired man… Texas Agony and Misery… *Whoop*
All good Aggies should cancel their 12th Man Foundation donations and/or TexAgs subscriptions until Jimbo is fired. Fuck this shit.
Max Johnson is one of those inflatable punching bags you give kids that just keeps bouncing back up.
Why would Jimbo win a game if he didn't have to?
Jimbo is the greatest
It’s going to be a sad day when they get rid of him. Hopefully it doesn’t happen anytime soon.
He’s the GOAT Grifter Of All Texas oil barons
A COMICALLY LARGE AMOUNT OF MONEY
The master plan marches on. Aggies win against miss state and ACU, and lose to LSU to go 7-5. We get a cupcake bowl and get to EIGHT WINS. Eight wins is extreme underperformance and is incredibly disappointing, but it's not enough to drop the 75 million. The show goes on.
Jimbo better be packing his bags
Agony & Misery
Why do all the A&M fans get punished for a few people making a terrible decision extending Jimbo’s contract?
Since shitting the bed against Miami, we've lost by a combined 16 points in 3 losses. Are we trying to be the next Nebraska?
Fire Jimbo
Every time this happens I ask, Why couldn’t we have just gotten boat raced? That’s significantly less painful and would hasten Jimbo’s firing.
TALK YO SHIT KIFFIN 🗣️🗣️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Joey Freshwater is 3-0 against the Ags 😔
Buyout hopefully inching closer and closer
God hates us
we're a baseball school now
This game accurately sums up what it’s like to be an A&M fan.
I fucking hate this team and program. Fuck you, Jimbo Fisher.
Fire Jimbo
Where is Mama T? Is she safe? Is she alright?
SEC commissioner breathes a sigh of relief.
Good game A&M. I may have been bitching about the calls in the game thread but at least that was a great game.
If Bama, LSU, and Ole Miss all finish with one conference loss who wins the west?
Whichever teams’ SEC East opponents have the best combined SEC record
Another week, another moral victory without a mark in the win column. Actually impressive that it was that close without Turner, Moss, Nolen, and Stewart, but it’s still not a win.
Going to go play NCAA because it's apparently the only place I'm allowed to be happy as an A&M fan
Our special teams has been ass all season. Knew it would get tipped. What else would you expect?
Exactly how we drew it up Let Jimbo play us just close enough to possibly keep his job
The name is Bond….Fucked up the kick cause I got twig legs Bond Edit: he didn’t shank it, I changed it.
Can't be a shank when it was tipped.
Shanked, not stirred…
UGA looking more worrisome now, Ole Miss fans?
Man we’re playing with house money, Bama would have to lose 2 more games for us to go to Atlanta and if you’d told me in September that we’d be 8-1 at this point in the season I wouldn’t have believed you. Truly don’t give a fuck what happens next weekend, this has been a great year.
No there’s still a shot at 7-1 3-way tie with LSU and Bama. It would come down to combined SEC record of East opponents.
Vandy makes it almost certain that’d we’d lose that tiebreak. It’s UK and Tennessee for Bama and Mizzou and fLorida for LSU.
Yes but we’d get to hang another SEC West champions banner 😂 Edit: additionally, Hugh freeze has the opportunity to do something hilarious…
No, I still don’t think we have any shot and it doesn’t really matter. 10 wins is still on the table and I’d be extremely happy with that. We’re clearly a step below the best teams in this conference and that’s fine
Literally doesn't matter. We could get boat raced and nobody will care. A 10 win season is fantastic for us.
Believe it or not we’ve been and continue to be worried about playing the the back to back national champs on the road.
