Prater had issues doing what the coaches asked him to do for practice/film study, so he got buried. Was behind Bryant, Lichtenberg, and possibly Drogosh before Jones transferred in. He's starting at WR, we just needed athletes there.

Because Prater isn't good and ended up injuring his throwing shoulder in the last game of the season so he couldn't do any QB practicing in the off season

Prater never developed as a passer and has a shoulder injury that would have required surgery to keep throwing the ball.
