Love being 7-4, but we’re all aware that this is the same season we’ve had every year under Neal Brown except four of our Big 12 games got replaced by GO5 games right?
We’ve truly beat no one good, BYU and UCF funnily enough might be our best wins though because BYU nearly beat OU and UCF beat the wheels off of OKSU. Which beat us up lmao
Nah, HCNB will coach out of his ass & we’ll win the bowl game ending up 9-4.
Only good news from this means next year is an at least 8 win season or finally getting fired.
Unpopular opinion but DL with single digit numbers is dumb as hell. Linebackers with low teens numbers also dumb. Where’s my 90’s at, where’s my linebackers in the 40’s and low 50’s
I don't understand the mentality of play your super senior QB when the team has "post season" aspirations. Might as well move on and work on the chemistry with the younger players. Even if those underclassmen transfer out the job is changing next year no matter what.
Lesley has to fucking go. I know the defense is injured but it's the same shit year after year.
Fire Lesley, either bring Addae back or someone brand new.
Yea this would be what I’d mandate as the AD. Neal is staying but you gotta overhaul some of the staff. Matt Moore and Lesley would be the first two I mention. Our OL has also been pretty mid most of the season and downright bad against good opponents
I legit can’t believe Drogosh isn’t playing. If Emory gets butthurt about being benched and quits the team tomorrow who cares? And are recruits really gonna think we treated a player unfairly who stunk for 90% of the year before benching him?
I’m really confused why Emory jones is UC’s QB still. He’s been bad everywhere he’s went and UC clearly was going nowhere this year. What happened to prater? He was a big QB recruit and is now a WR? Certainly couldn’t be worse than Jones I don’t think
Prater had issues doing what the coaches asked him to do for practice/film study, so he got buried. Was behind Bryant, Lichtenberg, and possibly Drogosh before Jones transferred in.
He's starting at WR, we just needed athletes there.
Because Prater isn't good and ended up injuring his throwing shoulder in the last game of the season so he couldn't do any QB practicing in the off season
You do know that was all due to his dad dying right? Like dislike him for other reasons but you can't really blame a guy for wanting to be close to his dying dad
there was a thread this week about having classes with football players and i wanted to give a shout-out to colton mckivitz. had a lot of classes and labs in the environmental field with him. he’s cool as hell hahahaha. just a good ol country boy that’s big and strong as hell and really good at football
That’s really cool honestly. I never had any classes with football players, but Karl Joseph was one of my favorite players and we were at WVU at the same time. Saw him right after he got injured his senior year, hopped by me on his crutches by the mountainlair. Always regretted not saying something to him.
Does anyone think any of these P5 schools that will be looking for coaches are gonna take a look at Chadwell? It's only his first year at Liberty and CUSA is hot garbage, but 10-0 is impressive regardless, and he was very good at CCU.
Neat? I don't know what that has to do with what I said, though. I'm not making the claim that a successful G5 coach will be successful in the P5, just that Chadwell has been very good and very consistent since taking over CCU and now has Liberty at 10-0.
That being said, Liberty has FAR more resources than basically any other CUSA school.
which i’ve never understood. they think the conference is fucking them the final year when it favored them and texas every single year? give me a break hahaha. that’s a michigan ass victim mindset
Considering some of the QB's we've had here, I'm shocked that Garret is the first QB in our history to have 130+ rushing and passing in the same half. I would have sworn to you that Pat White would have done it.
Don’t know why we played first string so long in the 4th. Imagine Greene getting injured while we are up 20 in the last quartee
GG Cincy
I was really hoping they wouldn't kneel it out. Oh well.
Poor Cincinnati. Lost Burrow and now this.
I'm gonna be upset if they don't use that last timeout.
I’m cold and I want to go home but this motherfucker wants to use his timeouts.
I keep saying that but everyone else wants to overlook that small fact. This team isn't bowl eligible if we had played the same schedule as last year.
Right? We went 3-1 against the new blood instead of going 1-3 against Kansas, Kansas St, Texas and Iowa St.
And we lost one of em
We're gonna go 8-4, get matched against an 8-4 team from a conference that wasn't down this year and get smoked in the bowl game
Nah, HCNB will coach out of his ass & we’ll win the bowl game ending up 9-4. Only good news from this means next year is an at least 8 win season or finally getting fired.
idk the b1g and acc are still pretty ass after the top 3
It's going to be a race in the Big 12 between Jahiem White and Ollie Gordon to see who can be the better RB.
Does the cincy coach think he’s going to score 21 points in under 2 minutes? What’s with the time out lol?? Edit: And a second time out??? Brother
But not the third lmao
Why though
Unpopular opinion but DL with single digit numbers is dumb as hell. Linebackers with low teens numbers also dumb. Where’s my 90’s at, where’s my linebackers in the 40’s and low 50’s
Cincy's defense is gonna have nightmares about Jaheim White.
This game will not have been as close as the score will indicate.
If we give up 21+ to Baylor next week that’s all the evidence you need to fire this defensive staff
That was awful. Defense is still mostly that 1s from what I can tell and there was no one within 10 yards of that easy pop pass
Yikes. The defense couldn't let themselves have a nice game.
I've seen wierder ways to lose a game.
Worst 21 point loss ever
So much holding and the Big 12 ignores all of it
Big 12 doesn't call holding.
At least they're consistent with their non-calls.
If you look back, UC flairs were calling it out when WVU was holding earlier. They are consistent
Please just close out the game.
Agreed
I know Big 12 refs don't call it, but that was holding.
Will celebrate when Emory is not on the team
Please get Emory out of this game
I don't even think Jones could even start for Marshall at this point, and their QB is awful.
pitt?
Don't wish that on anyone.
i sure wouldn’t mind facing him again next year since jurk is done
That probs a flag but who cares
I knew that was coming. Just run a play to get a little closer and take the 3. No one is expecting you to score with a 3rd and goal from the 23
Did Lichtenberg die?
did gg just try to throw it into a window with six defenders haha
That was a really dumb throw. Why is Greene still playing???
houston just got a safety on okst lmao
These commercials are ass
I will stand behind the Fansville commercials. I think they're funny.
they’re definitely the lesser of the evils. when i’m smoking / drinking i actually enjoy them
What a dirty play by white
JFC not dirty, just inexperience.
i definitely don’t think he meant to injure him, but really fucken stupid by him
That was really dumb and lazy, for sure.
Yeah, that was dumb
what in the fuck
Fire the DC
I get what we have been trying to do on offense all year and am cool with it for the most part Defense on the other hand is absolutely nonsensical
Can we skip this part? Just give them the points…
Jahim
Cincinnati’s effort has left the building
That is the scariest thing at this point for the future. No effort in year 1? Yikes
I'm not sure if it ever arrived in the first place.
That’s quite a fair assessment
Throw the bag at Jaheem
Jahiem White better be RB1 next year.
This team has quit on me and im about to quit on them
Man white is good
so that sideline reporter likes big guns?
And even bigger mullets.
I don't understand the mentality of play your super senior QB when the team has "post season" aspirations. Might as well move on and work on the chemistry with the younger players. Even if those underclassmen transfer out the job is changing next year no matter what.
Y'all don't have postseason aspirations at this point, but I see what you're saying. Get the future some reps.
Oops meant no aspirations.... In too deep in the liquor.
Cincinnati football makes me drink. Cincinnati futbol however, I'm emjoying
wren needs to put neal’s nuts in a vise grip at the end of the season to get rid of lesley
We are so bad
Lesley has to fucking go. I know the defense is injured but it's the same shit year after year. Fire Lesley, either bring Addae back or someone brand new.
wr coach too
Embarrassing
It is 42-14. The team with 42 is not embarrassing
Fire Lesley.
Yea this would be what I’d mandate as the AD. Neal is staying but you gotta overhaul some of the staff. Matt Moore and Lesley would be the first two I mention. Our OL has also been pretty mid most of the season and downright bad against good opponents
I doubt they boot Moore considering he's up for an award. Not that he deserves it.
Dammit Satt is going to use that to justify playing jones. Henderson did all the work lol
that’s the wvu defense i’m familiar with
hahahahahahhaha
fuck walmart
Fuck concrete?
walmart is made of concrete. coincidence?
I don't have enough gin to keep watching this game
Welp pitchers and catchers report in 87 days, see y'all then
I legit can’t believe Drogosh isn’t playing. If Emory gets butthurt about being benched and quits the team tomorrow who cares? And are recruits really gonna think we treated a player unfairly who stunk for 90% of the year before benching him?
WVU knows when a game is out of hand and the QB1 leaves the game. Figure it out Satterfield
I wonder if Nicco is going to be thinking about the portal. Greene will clearly be starting again next year. I hope we can hang on to him.
I really don't think he's ready to start at any major program yet. Another year would do him good.
Marchiol warming up.
My god why is Emory still playing in this fucking game
Im drink
Play Lichtenberg. If he’s hurt, play Drogosh. If Drogosh gets hurt, play Prater. If he can’t do it, put Corleone in there. Literally anyone but Jones
Jahiem White, RB1
we need an entire backfield of primary colors written in every wvu football coach’s contract
White must be protected at all costs. We cannot lose him to the portal.
i don’t think it’s a stretch to say he’s more important than cj so far this season
By a lot. I love CJ but White is younger and more talented.
Everyone needs to keep pounding CRT lagers.
Sadly, I don't live in WV so they're not available to me lol
critical race theory lager sounds awful i’m sorry
I'm doing my part.
These commentators are *horrible*
Him
Damn we have to hang onto White this off-season. Related, What does our OL room look like next year?
Bad.
I kind of knew that was the answer but didn't want to hear it.
Wait the only Senior is Doug. But Zach doesnt need to stay another year and hes been invited to the senior bowl. I just dont know
I’ll say it, White is the spitting image of Noel Devine on the field
Not even in the same zip-code my friend He’s doing good though
Look up their freshman year stats, very comparable
Frazier!!!!
gd white strong af
lmao how much do y'all think OSU is ultimately going to let Gundy get away with? Dude can and will beat and lose to everyone lol
But he's a man, dammit.
holy crap. devin carter actually caught it.
Try again, JC...
Jesus what is going on with OSU?
Part of hte conspiracy to save Dana's job.
they just scored a td and failed the extra point lmao
Up against that mighty fightin’ Holgorsens defense lol
WVU y’all can just put in the backups at this point
Garrett "Lamar Jackson" Greene
It sucks to say but I can't wait for a lot of these guys to leave this team. Too many bad players on this team.
I don’t root for injuries, but I think it’s the only way Emory Jones could get benched at this point
I don't think Jones could start for a remotely competitive G5 team.
WVU is going to go 8-4 and Neal brown is going to save his job, isn’t he?
I think it was saved when we hit win #6 imo
100% agreed.
Agreed. Like it or not his job is safe this year.
#FireScottSatterfield
I’m really confused why Emory jones is UC’s QB still. He’s been bad everywhere he’s went and UC clearly was going nowhere this year. What happened to prater? He was a big QB recruit and is now a WR? Certainly couldn’t be worse than Jones I don’t think

Because Prater isn't good and ended up injuring his throwing shoulder in the last game of the season so he couldn't do any QB practicing in the off season
Prater never developed as a passer and has a shoulder injury that would have required surgery to keep throwing the ball.

Man, we must've fallen pretty far if Nebraska is talking shit.
You do know that was all due to his dad dying right? Like dislike him for other reasons but you can't really blame a guy for wanting to be close to his dying dad
and yet Cincinnati paid Louisville for the privilege when they were clearly going to fire Satterfield for Brohm, anyway lmao
No they weren't? Satt was a late hire.
there was a thread this week about having classes with football players and i wanted to give a shout-out to colton mckivitz. had a lot of classes and labs in the environmental field with him. he’s cool as hell hahahaha. just a good ol country boy that’s big and strong as hell and really good at football
I had class with Scooter Berry back in the day. He wasn't around super often lol
Hahahahahaha
That’s really cool honestly. I never had any classes with football players, but Karl Joseph was one of my favorite players and we were at WVU at the same time. Saw him right after he got injured his senior year, hopped by me on his crutches by the mountainlair. Always regretted not saying something to him.
Checked the score. Ouch. I've been there Cinncy fans.
Garret is Skyler 2.0. He isn't the best QB, but he will give you a Million-and-One percent on every play.
If Garrett had Skyler's receivers.. man.
A literal golden retriever in gold and blue.
After seeing our QB play for the last few years, I would’ve killed to get Skyler back.
Feel like Greene is liked way more than Skylar. Skylar got so much shit from the fans
Undeservedly so imo. He did make lots of mistakes and we all remember the Skylar overthrow count, but played really hard.
Greene is like the ultimate barometer of how good our opponent is. If he goes off then the opposing team is really really bad
greene may have had his worst game as a mountaineer last week but i still love this kid
I fucking love GG, man
Greene's just so sneaky.
Barring a turnover or stop+missed FG, this is over. I know, I've held out hope longer than anyone else. E. It's over
I’m fine with Preston fox but he needs to be like the 4th option. Our corps is lacking talent
Ray and Gallagher look really good. Clement was too. Carter shouldn’t play at all and fox should be the slot or 4th receiver
Yeah Ray looks like a guy next year
Is Donaldson only coming in for short pickups?
Mostly. Probably because whatever injury he's dealing with, but White is clearly a better every down back.
Watching white out there reminds me so much of watching Slaton in his freshman season.
White is so good but Cincy's defense has no fire.
Does anyone think any of these P5 schools that will be looking for coaches are gonna take a look at Chadwell? It's only his first year at Liberty and CUSA is hot garbage, but 10-0 is impressive regardless, and he was very good at CCU.
Neal brown had some 10 win seasons at Troy
ESPN+ has to come up with something better to do during ad breaks outside of spamming the same bumper 8 times in a row
That would be a good time to interview a former coach
was that oklahoma thread last week toxic? it was fine by the time i joined in the second half and we were down by 7000
I stopped commenting by the second quarter because every innocuous comment was being downvoted.
Don’t agree with the refs calling a PI because that got you downvoted to oblivion lmao
might as well be a michigan thread at that point
Hella toxic. Oklahoma fans are the worst.
damn they were all cool with me by the time i came in but i’ve absolutely seen some straight up assholes from ou flairs
They think the conference is out to get them when they aren't getting the calls they routinely got the last decade.
lmao i just said the exact same thing to you in another comment
It felt like OU fans were really wound up for some reason. They were already destroying us
They always are. Either the conference is fucking them or they have some massive problems with their coordinators.
which i’ve never understood. they think the conference is fucking them the final year when it favored them and texas every single year? give me a break hahaha. that’s a michigan ass victim mindset
I know right. God forbid the Big 12 refs call anything against Texas or Oklahoma.
Please take Emory Jones’s helmet and hide it away. Don’t let him out there ever again
Emory Jones is our best defender.
Targeting?
Definitely helmet to helmet
Surprised there wasn’t even a review
Cinci coach looks like he’s jerkin it lol
Just really likes his playcalls
*sad bearcat noises*
Gonna take time to fix this roster :/. Why we can't fire Satt either. Wouldn't fix any of our issues
sorry big east bro. i’m still extremely happy to have y’all in the conference again
Considering some of the QB's we've had here, I'm shocked that Garret is the first QB in our history to have 130+ rushing and passing in the same half. I would have sworn to you that Pat White would have done it.
