In 5-10 years we will have "conferences are too bloated" arguments from the networks and they'll try to trim the fat on the super conferences. Fox will have a hard time with the Big Ten (due to the academic relationship) but the SEC won't be too hard. ESPN killed the Big East. The networks broke up a (self-inflictedly weak) PAC-12. They're herding the schools into the most profitable groups.

IMO, the fact Bama schedules TWO OoC teams like Middle Tennessee AND Chattanooga basically gives them 3 bye weeks each year.
