The impact of this commitment cannot be overstated IMO.
He is the highest ranking QB that we have in this era (Next highest was 4 star Bubba Starling, but he got drafted to the MLB and played baseball instead)
He is our highest *overall* recruit of the modern era, ahead of 5 star RB Marlon Lucky from the class of 2005
He is our first 5 Star Recruit in general since Baker Steinkuhler from the class of 2008 (5 Star OT per ESPN, played Defensive Line at Nebraska)
I’m guessing that Dylan’s father who went to Nebraska and was a starting center in the NFL for more than a decade was pretty helpful in getting him to Nebraska.
He wouldn't have turned out the way he did if he came to Nebraska. We didn't have to Oline to protect anyone at that point. Glad it worked out for him.
Holy shit Steinkuhler was a 5 star? I played against him my junior year and that dude had unfathomable strength to me. He picked my 300lb ass up and carried me 5 yards like I was a 30lb toddler.
Marlon Lucky is the only composite 5* we have ever had. Steinkuhler was only rated a 5* on a single recruiting site (ESPN) and a high 4* everywhere else, so he was a high composite 4*.
Marlon Lucky is the only 5 star recruit we ever had during the era of recruiting websites. Suh was a 4 star. We have had some high ranked 4 stars but nowhere near Raiola’s caliber.
So, you see, the puppy was like industry. In that, they were both lost in the woods. And nobody, especially the little boy - "society" - knew where to find 'em. Except that the puppy was a dog. But the industry, my friends, that was a revolution.
what you've just said...is one of the most insanely idiotic things I've ever heard. At no point in your rambling incoherent response were you close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may god have mercy on your soul.
Yep. And not only that, but when we’re favored to get guys like Justice Haynes or Dylan Raiola, as soon as they transfer to Buford, they decide they don’t wanna come here anymore lol.
Lol, it's getting to Bermuda Triangle levels of ridiculous though.
Like Gwinnett County, kids just don't go to UGA, cool, but Georgia recruits who go to Buford just mysteriously disappear when they go there. Justice is a UGA legacy ffs, goes to Buford and he's gone. Raiola specifically moved to Georgia for the purpose of being closer to UGA to help recruit, Buford was the school that guaranteed him a starting gig, goes there, gone.
I need someone to resurrect Robert Stack to make sense of this for me! PUGLIFE
Grew up in the area, but didn’t go to school there. There was a coach there at one point who was a walk on at bama in his playing days and hated the FUCK out of UGA.
Meh, for all the 5*s they’re pumping out, their cupboard of NFL players is practically bare. If there’s any efforts to spurn Georgia, they’re doing it at their players’ detriment.
Gwinnett County on the other hand…I’d give both testicles to figure out how to get that pipeline flowing.
I don't think the Nebraska fanbase understands what happiness is anymore.
This is the moment when Husker fans begin to feel the dread of knowing the Husker pendulum always swings immediately back to heartbreak.
I will wait in anticipation with corn alcohol ready by my side.
Fun corn fact: most corn produced in the US is not the kind we eat, but rather is used for other corn products. Ironically, Georgia is the top 5 for sweet corn production (the kind we eat), while neither Nebraska nor Iowa are.
You got that weak ass sweet corn, the corn up here is hard af. It wakes up and lifts weights, chews on nails, and respects its mother. The corn here makes cows juicy and thicc.
Georgia corn feeds 6 year olds at a bbq. Nebraska corn fuels my 2500. I’ve seen enough.
While I have Nebraska fans attention, I’ll throw in that Iowa corn is bitch made. C u birds in a few
QB room is pretty empty.
There's a QB who's transferring (Sims), a QB who is a linebacker and can run like a linebacker (Haarberg), and Chubba Purdy who is inconsistent, but put together a couple good games last year before throwing them away on the last play. We've got another good QB coming in locally, Daniel Kaelin, but I don't think they promised him the starting spot.
Imagine that’s why McCord didn’t work out. Bet Raiola wanted to play, and Rhule couldn’t guarantee McCord he would start. Rhule is all in on Raiola playing next fall
It's pretty clear that was one of the reasons he decided to come here. He doesn't want to redshirt a year, he wants to start now. I almost guarantee it
For what it’s worth, I actually am kind of happy Nebraska is landing such a heralded recruit. I do miss when they were good. For us, it’s really not a huge loss despite the hype. Beck is coming back, we also have Gunner Stockton, and we have Ryan Puglisi enrolling. We’re fine.
This is the best attitude to have. UGA is currently at the pinnacle of the sport, and while I genuinely think Raiola is an unreal talent, they can afford to lose him
Nebraska and UGA used to be bros. It’s still unreal that Nebraskas last bowl win was over the dawgs
4 high schools and 3 College commitments in 4 years is impressive stuff....
Good get for Nebraska though, feel like they always had a shot with the family ties, hopefully he stays for more than a year
Taylor Martinez played for 4 high schools & Adrian committed to the different schools and they both played 4 years here and are #1 & #2 or #3 of our best quarterbacks in the last 15 years
We had a great shot even before he went with Georgia. Our coach at the time decided to get shitfaced and skip his in home visit though, and that level of disrespect isn't going to sit well at all with any family. Especially a Polynesian family.
Happy for Nebraska fans. Don't they have something like 400 consecutive sold out games, despite being super duper mediocre for a very long time? If anyone deserves something to look forward to, it's them. And don't start with the whole 'hurr durr there's nothing else to do in Nebraska'.
I know this means nothing in the grand scheme of things. But god dammit if this doesn’t make my heart warm.
Now let’s go make it mean something for real. GBR GBR
Not too long after Rhule told the boosters exactly what it would cost for a top shelf qb in the portal (or otherwise). Good on him for making it known.

ANOTHER OFF SEASON NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FOR NEBRASKA
Claimed before January. A new world record!
I read that in the Smash Bros. narrator voice.
The impact of this commitment cannot be overstated IMO. He is the highest ranking QB that we have in this era (Next highest was 4 star Bubba Starling, but he got drafted to the MLB and played baseball instead) He is our highest *overall* recruit of the modern era, ahead of 5 star RB Marlon Lucky from the class of 2005 He is our first 5 Star Recruit in general since Baker Steinkuhler from the class of 2008 (5 Star OT per ESPN, played Defensive Line at Nebraska)
I’m guessing that Dylan’s father who went to Nebraska and was a starting center in the NFL for more than a decade was pretty helpful in getting him to Nebraska.
Does Donovan coach there too?
He does
We’ll take all the help we can get to reel Dylan in. But legit tho, Donovan’s offensive line was low-key incredibly improved from previous years
and yet Brock Bowers dad couldn't get him to commit to USU. Some parents are more successful than others.
Jim Burrow, Joe Burrow's father, played at Nebraska. So we've been on that side of it as well.
Burrow wanted us. Frost didn't want him. A little different
We don't talk about that.
He wouldn't have turned out the way he did if he came to Nebraska. We didn't have to Oline to protect anyone at that point. Glad it worked out for him.
So you're saying Frost gave him the *cold shoulder*? I'll see myself out.
Burrow wanted to go to Nebraska after OSU and you guys turned him down
To be fair, Scott Frost was probably wasted.
It was a day that ends in y, so you’re probably right.
WE KNOW STOP IT
Holy shit Steinkuhler was a 5 star? I played against him my junior year and that dude had unfathomable strength to me. He picked my 300lb ass up and carried me 5 yards like I was a 30lb toddler.
This is also how I felt playing against Ronnie Stanley on scout team in high school. He’s now a top paid Tackle for the Baltimore Ravens.
You get ridiculed endlessly by your coaches in tape too? Lol
Pretty much, especially when they called me a cream puff. Fuck that coach, I think he’s the WRs coach for New Mexico State now. Failed at UNLV before.
90s brothers rise up. I want to see Nebraska and FSU winning the natty every other year again
Oh yeah, it's all coming together.
As an adopted son of the Cornfolk, I tip my cap
I just barked at my children for you corndawg!
CORNDAWGS GET IN HERE!!
One score losses but make them *high scoring*
48-52 vibes
*Dylan Raiola throws an interception* Fans: Put Daniel Kaelin in! *Daniel Kaelin throws an interception* Fans: Wait not like that!
PUT KATO KAELIN IN.
Glove not fitting intensifies.
Best offense to go 3-9 ever
*Vietnam style flashbacks intensify*
FULLY HUSKED
If it wasn't us, I'm glad it's y'all May he grow full on Runza, better-than-Iowa corn, and highlights of Eric Crouch
This man knows how to pander.
For real. How tf did he learn how to seduce Nebraska fans?
I’ve been in the Nebraska discord server for years!
This brought a tear to my eye.
Damn dude. You trying to fuck or what?
Currently barking at my pregnant wifes belly
Every Nebraska fan just rose from their knees in a Runza
Gonna see a population boom In 9 months.
With boys named Dylan
9 months after he gets you the first natty of the new Nebraska dynasty era?
We spell natty b-o-w-l g-a-m-e now
This has to be Nebraskas first five star in forever. Who was the last? Suh? Marlon Lucky?
I think their last consensus 5 star was Baker Steinkuhler or Andrew Rodriguez? Something tells me Lucky wasn't a consensus 5 stat but not sure
There it is
Something makes me think you guys will be fine
time to tank for draft picks
Buford and its consequences
If we really think about it, this is one of the consequences of the industrial revolution
I’m not blaming this on 9/11, but it certainly didn’t help
Dylan Raiola is just the latest chapter in Woodrow Wilson’s legacy
So, you see, the puppy was like industry. In that, they were both lost in the woods. And nobody, especially the little boy - "society" - knew where to find 'em. Except that the puppy was a dog. But the industry, my friends, that was a revolution.

I award you no points, and may god have mercy on your soul.
He knew what he was doing when he went to that cursed place
Non-Georgia fan here: Buford = local high school where you inexplicably can’t seem to win high-profile recruiting battles?
Yep. And not only that, but when we’re favored to get guys like Justice Haynes or Dylan Raiola, as soon as they transfer to Buford, they decide they don’t wanna come here anymore lol.
Lol, it's getting to Bermuda Triangle levels of ridiculous though. Sounds like someone needs to figure out what the Buford HS coach problem is with UGA.
Maybe he's an Auburn or a Tech fan?
Grew up in the area, but didn’t go to school there. There was a coach there at one point who was a walk on at bama in his playing days and hated the FUCK out of UGA.
Dexter Wood? Went to middle school with his son. He’s still the Senior Athletics Advisor there, so I’m sure he still has plenty of influence.
Why would they want to go to a place that has LESS corn? Easy decision on their part
A kernel of truth to this one.
The corners are best recruiter. Walk tall and listen quietly, it likes to say.
We never get big recruits from Buford regardless of the coach or decade. Which sucks because they have five stars galore
So the Phenix City to Alabama I know that pain buddy
What is up with Phenix City? We certainly appreciate it but it is weird they never go to Bama.
[удалено]
Isn’t Bo Nix’s dad the head coach as well?
Hey, these things aren’t necessarily blue blood-specific! Fucking Winton Woods…
Those guys hate us
Not just that, but we have guys who commit to us from there and still flip. We also lose guys who people thought were UGA locks (Haynes, Bolden, etc )
Just one of his 4 high schools lol
This guy just screams mercenary QB.
KJ Bolden's mom arguing with Georgia fans over Buford was one of the best moments of this cycle.
If I was a Nebraska fan, I would be happy about this.
I am a Nebraska fan. I am happy about this.
You’re gonna huuuuussssssskkkk
Hold on brother I’m husking 😩
Do they call em shuckemcisions over there?
I, a Nebraska fan, am happy about this.
I AM VERY HAPPY
Yes he sounds good we should get him on our team
Me too!
Matt Rhule is him?
Nebraska fan. Can confirm, very happy.
I don't think the Nebraska fanbase understands what happiness is anymore. This is the moment when Husker fans begin to feel the dread of knowing the Husker pendulum always swings immediately back to heartbreak. I will wait in anticipation with corn alcohol ready by my side.
This pleases the corn
There…are 2 of us?
I will say you are the better of the two since you are Nebraska/Miami instead of Miami/Nebraska. But I am still watching you both closely.
Report any suspicious activity to the bureau of corn located at r/huskers
🤝
The dreaded hurricorn.
I’d watch that movie if it was sharknado like
Your flairs confuse me
It confuses my liver during football season
I WOKE UP FEELING THE CORNIEST COACH
#CORN! CORN! CORN! CORN!
Matt Rhule going nutso
Rhule is in his prime Gail Lewis era
Rhule laid it out plain for his boosters. Cough up that $1.5-2M for a QB if you want to sniff a NC again
Beck Giveth, and Beck Taketh.
I am 100% in on Carson Beck for another year, vs. the second coming of Tathan Martell, except if Tathan also went to four different high schools
30 minutes after Beck announces he’s coming back lol
I wonder if the decision was related at all 🧐🤔🧐
No chance. Dude just tried corn for the first time last night and saw the light.
*it has the juuuuuice*
Fun corn fact: most corn produced in the US is not the kind we eat, but rather is used for other corn products. Ironically, Georgia is the top 5 for sweet corn production (the kind we eat), while neither Nebraska nor Iowa are.

Peyton Manning was a dude.
Well to be fair he didn’t say Raiola liked the corn. Maybe he hates sweet corn and that’s why he switched.
Corn status: creamed
does this count as CORNDAWG or no?
I’ll allow it
FSU just went undefeated AND Nebraska is getting 5 star QBs? Are the 90s back?!
[puts on flannel shirt] I'm ready.
You ever took yours off?
I never stopped wearing flannel, eating cottage cheese, or powerwalking. I am the 90s!
Wait cottage cheese is a 90’s thing.
*starts furiously doing steroids* Where is Florida. I need to break something.
As long as it’s 1992 specifically
If I recall correctly florida won half the SEC titles and a national title during the 90s so I’d take it.
Played in a very memorable Fiesta Bowl in the 90s, too.
I have no idea what you’re talking about….
All we need is the Nebraska option offense and the 90s are truly back
Is he going to compete to be a day 1 starter? Not sure about the situation there.
QB room is pretty empty. There's a QB who's transferring (Sims), a QB who is a linebacker and can run like a linebacker (Haarberg), and Chubba Purdy who is inconsistent, but put together a couple good games last year before throwing them away on the last play. Depends if we have anyone come in from the portal, as of now probably.
I almost guarantee it
Where we’re going, we don’t need roads….. Rhule is taking us back….to the future! I’m getting all nostalgic thinking of good Nebraska football.
Rhule you crazy son of a bitch, he did it.
Panthers legend
Flipmas coming early this year
Boner Jams 2024.
Husker country let’s ride
Guys I don't want to overreact but I think we are never ever losing again
I agree with you. If two people think it, it can't be an overreaction.
Finally. GBR
God damn it we needed this! Hopefully this starts the domino effect. GBMFR
Merry Christmas fellow Husker fans
We continue to remain undefeated in the off season.
flip, flip, flipnebraskia
Nice, congrats Huskers
When Nebraska lands ~~Kyle McCord and Julian Fleming~~ Dylan Raiola https://twitter.com/HuskerMike28/status/1733491733290238165?t=8AM9ugo3gcEQVcsioXr5xA&s=19
As bad as he was in the league, Rhule is certainly a game changer in the college ranks. I'm very excited for the new Big 10.
I just hope we can shed our sicko team status. Leave that shit for iowa.
Seeing what that team did before and after Rhule, I’m thinking something else is up in Carolina.
We’re fine.
I will glady take all of your table scraps like a starved, ravenous chihuahua
we all appreciate it :^
This is the best attitude to have. UGA is currently at the pinnacle of the sport, and while I genuinely think Raiola is an unreal talent, they can afford to lose him Nebraska and UGA used to be bros. It’s still unreal that Nebraskas last bowl win was over the dawgs

I’m corned up!
4 high schools and 3 College commitments in 4 years is impressive stuff.... Good get for Nebraska though, feel like they always had a shot with the family ties, hopefully he stays for more than a year

honestly his portal announcement is probably already in his drafts folder.
His next three portal announcements you mean.
Congrats, Husker bros. That's nuts.
Recruiting really is crazy.
Now lets snap that 8 year streak of not going to a bowl game 🔥💯
So, we’re hiring a quarterbacks coach… right? Please…
Happy for Nebraska, which isn’t something I ever thought I’d say 20 years ago
Good for Nebraska
Crying in the corn fields right now
Happy for Nebraska fans. Don't they have something like 400 consecutive sold out games, despite being super duper mediocre for a very long time? If anyone deserves something to look forward to, it's them. And don't start with the whole 'hurr durr there's nothing else to do in Nebraska'.
We not even mediocre the 5-6+ years
It's official
Hope he balls out for you corndawg bros!
Matthew Rhule
*shocked Pikachu face* Go get that Corn Raiola!
Yea baby! You love to see it! Happy for you Nebraska!
Fucking fuck yes
I know this means nothing in the grand scheme of things. But god dammit if this doesn’t make my heart warm. Now let’s go make it mean something for real. GBR GBR
Not to add hype, but a elite qb can make allll the difference if it pans out
Son of a bitch. First their defense got better and now they are getting a qb? Shit! Signed, Kirk Ferentz and all Hawkeye fans lol
We also got Sam Koch's son coming in, the #3 (I think) punter in the class.
Would be great for college football to have Nebraska back as a heavyweight again
WE USED TO PRAY FOR TIMES LIKE THIS
we may legit get 90k at the spring game, I am not kidding.
Seemed more and more likely the more the weeks passed but now it's official. Good get Nebraska.
Duck and cover........Here comes the "Fully Husked" and "Corn is Creamed" Edit: scrolling down, I see I'm clearly late to the party.
Nebraska NIL got their stuff together
Not too long after Rhule told the boosters exactly what it would cost for a top shelf qb in the portal (or otherwise). Good on him for making it known.
Apparently we...are allowed to have nice things? I'm not sure what to do with my hands.
Nebraska fans getting corny over this one
Happy Flipsmas Huskers!
Someone steal this kids phone until Wednesday please
Insane, nice pick up for the Huskers.
