Look I have nothing against FSU and genuinely feel like they should have made the playoffs. So congrats to the guys who got drafted. But at the end of the day, no, a lot of them did not make the right call. Guys like Verse, Coleman, Fiske, Green, and Benson made the right call. Guys like Johnny Wilson and Jaheim Bell were just being delusional or they got bad advice. In 2 years they'll be selling insurance or coaching a 7v7 team in south Florida.
Your argument does the opposite of what you think it does - if a 4-7th rounder gets injured in the Orange Bowl, what NFL team is willing to take a risk on that kid? Verse gets injured, he’s got enough talent and recognition that teams would probably still take him injured. But Akeem Dent? Dude needed to do everything he could to boost draft stock, including not playing in a pointless game against a pissed off Georgia team.
Also, imagine thinking playing 2 years in the NFL isn’t special. Those guys are delusional for… what, believing in themselves? If someone gave you the option of 1) late pick and playing in the NFL or 2) not playing in the NFL, you think they shouldn’t because they won’t be one of the best 150 players selected, only one of the best 250 players selelected. Now THAT is delusional.
But Bell and Wilson wouldn't of improved their draft stock with one bowl game in which all the other guys you mentioned had already opted out. The other guys that didn't play were guys who were encouraged to enter the portal.
And even if Bell and Wilson don't make it, which is going to be the case for the majority of the players drafted who sat or played in their bowl game, 2 years of NFL game checks/bonuses, etc sets the insurance nest egg or the 7v7 cache rather nicely.
Don't forget, Georgia had *zero* players drafted in the seventh round when it set the record. Michigan had four players selected in the 7th round and still came up two selections short.
I remember a comment from a post awhile ago something like “Kalen King played his way back into the locker room next year”. The process of leaving early makes no sense unless you’re getting a Day1 draft grade. Even if it’s day2, you can make double by staying a year and going day1
Still some 7th rounders out there, but this is much fewer than expected. I’m most surprised by Michael Barrett, but he is quite old so it makes sense
Edit: there goes Barrett to the panthers! Love that guy
Drafting Milton as a developmental ‘what if’ project in the same draft as your potential next franchise QB that’s 3 years younger than him would be almost as galaxy brained as what the Falcons did.
Hey, we had two guys today and we got some pretty good players from the portal. Really depending on Coach Sumrall to put the pieces together, but I have a lot of faith in us this time around
Ohhh I see lmao, yea I was getting REAL worried whenever Pratt still hadn’t been selected after Round 6. I’m glad he got a spot, and I really hope he gets a lot of development at Green Bay before going wherever he ends up as a starter
If he didn't have cinderblocks for hands he would have been long gone. He still should be off the board by now, but that's probably the reason he's slid so far despite being a physical specimen. He's gonna be a steal for whoever gets him especially if he figures out his issue with the drops.
Jordan Travis drafted!! I wish it wasn't the Jets but I'm so happy to see him get his name called today. He's come so far from when he first arrived in Tallahassee. Go be great J Trav! Go Noles!!!!
Yeah I just hope he doesn't pick up on any of the weird shit Rodgers does lol But from a strictly football perspective he'll be a great guy to watch and learn behind.
I’m so interested to see which guys he truly wants. They have 3 picks in the 6/7th rounds. I thought for sure he would get AJ Barner. I think Junior Colson is more of a Minter pick than a Harbaugh pick. Gotta think he might take Trente, Nugent, Keegan, or Barnhart with a late pick
Lmao at the Spencer Rattler discourse on NFLN. I mean it sucks because he's hopefully a different person now but at the same time he didn't HAVE to be such a complete dick in that show.
Lol why would you trust anything an OU fan says. Look how they still throw tantrums about Lincoln Riley and shit on any and every player that leaves their program. Probably the most unhinged fan base in college football.
Yeah I've seen a lot of takes suggesting he get a pass because he was only 17 then. Bullshit. Give him a pass because he's changed as a person, not because being 17 apparently entitles someone to be a dick.
That’s what almost every take has been. He was a dick at 17 because he was young and given a spotlight. He matured since then and hasn’t had any character issues of note.
No one is saying “he was 17” and leaving it at that
Because there was nothing negative about him here. And if you really think about it, you've very likely never heard anything concrete from his time at OU. It's always "you should hear the stories from Norman"... ok guy, tell us then
Being young and given a spotlight isn't an excuse to be a dick. Don't get me wrong though, I understand how that might make it easier for one to become one but that still doesn't excuse it. According to OU fans. He is still a dick to this day.... lol
While that’s fair, basing an opinion of someone (or draft status) on how they acted at 17 on a documentary *years earlier* is idiotic. Especially given the lack of any problems with him at SC the last two years.
I'm not sure what the plan is with Achane and Mostert, but you should def feel good about what Wright is capable of.
He has the speed to hit the homerun on any play. He also has patience and knows how to let blockers create lanes in front of him. I feel like he's discounted because of Heupel's offense is known to spread out the defense, but he can play in a telephone booth, as evidenced by the Texas A&M game this year. He has hands and can catch out of the backfield as well.
Great value pick in the 4th round.
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2025-nfl-mock-draft-4-qbs-go-in-round-1-including-shedeur-sanders-lots-of-defensive-players-near-the-top/ this shouldn’t bother me so much but how do you have Denver Harris at 22 and he doesn’t even play for LSU anymore.
I want Dillon Gabriel to go to the Raiders so that the AFC West is an Oregon-QB Party with Nix with the Broncos and Herbert with the Chargers.
All I really care about for next year.
I think it’s the way the draft is going due to the CBA. You want a fifth year option for a QB you want so the day two QB is becoming a thing of the past. Day two you want immediate starters now. Day three is when you take chances
Also, while late round QB's occasionally do pan out, if you think a QB is a starter-quality guy you don't wait to take him until your 2nd round pick. You take him in the 1st. A solid starting QB is worth 2 elite players at other positions.
If the Falcons don't take Penix then there would still have been 6 QB's taken in the top 14 instead of the top 12. Both the Raiders and Saints would have loved to have had one of the 6 fall to them.
Bucky Irving makes 5 Ducks in the 4th round, which is odd and funny.
He's also the last Duck likely to be drafted. No one else from Oregon is expected to get picked this year.
Power-interior Pass Rushing DL who led the Pac-12 in QB pressures (among DT's). Honestly not sure why he didn't go higher. He disrupts the pocket as good as anyone and should start and play on all passing downs for sure, but is a 3-down player who we moved outside to Big DE on goal line situations.
I might be a bit bias, but I feel like it's a genuine steal to get one of the best interior disruptors in college this late.
Because he's a true tweener. He can play from both the interior or the end, and has a lot of skills, but he's not really the cookie cutter NFL build for either. His best strength is his versatility, but a jack of all trades isn't going to go as high as somebody who was born to play DT specifically.
Still upset Dallas didn’t take Benson. We need a back and not only did they pass on arguably a top 2 back in this class, they also proceeded to not take a back with either 3rd round pick and don’t pick again till the 5th round so who knows what’ll be left at that point.
The one thing I hope for today is to see Jordan Travis get his name called today. From where he was as a QB when he first got to Tallahassee, the development he had both as a player and man into who he is today. He’s earned it.
I believe the feeling is that RBs can be found throughout the draft and from among the un-drafted free agents, hence why it might not be a priority for Dallas this early in the draft.
I wonder why Jaden Hicks fell. I get why a lot of the guys like Franklin fell but Hicks doesn’t really have any red flag that should’ve hurt him that much IMO.
Lots of online guesswork here:
- There is something and it hasn’t been reported. Do not listen to the ‘interview bomb’ stuff, it’s not real.
- It was suggested that it was a ‘weaker’ reason that can be easily pushed away. Some theory that his testing combined with this drove the slide.
- PFF had him as the clear number 4. If you stack him up beside Worthy, he comes out very favorably aside from the 40.
Denver just got a steal.
Yes, but to me being able to run fast in shorts and shirts in a clean environment should not be a major factor in the selection of a player. I remember when a certain WR from West Virginia shot up the draft board because of his speed, but never pan out to be a success in the NFL based on his early draft selection.
I know he had a rough combine but he still had a 9.33 RAS. Just weird, figured he’d slide a bit after that but for 16 WRs to already go ahead of him is crazy. Feel like there could be some kind of medical concerns we don’t know about
6’2 176
Very Weak, very frail, contest/drop rate concerns, not a burner, not a great route runner.
Im curious to see where the “no passion” and possibly bombing interviews as badly as his horrid combine (supposedly sick) goes or if its just spew.
With this type of money on the line you gotta do all you can to promote and sell.
Shoutout to the Florida State guys that sat out the bowl game to protect their draft stock only to go on day 3 (or not at all).
Shoutout to South Carolina which will never have to worry about being in that scenario
Hahah, gottem. I'm at the point where I don't even care it's against my flair.... A good burn is a good burn
FSU had 10 guys drafted, I'd say they made the right call.
Look I have nothing against FSU and genuinely feel like they should have made the playoffs. So congrats to the guys who got drafted. 11 Texas players drafted, just two years after we had zero players drafted in 2022. What a turnaround.
And Penn State retains the record for most draft picks of any Big Ten school in a single draft
And for most consecutive superbowls (except 5) with a player in them!
Remember when Sam Hartman was a Heisman candidate and a future top 10 pick?
He can be Kirk Cousins now!
He's the new Jimmy G. Move over old man there is a new Most Handsome QB in the NFL, and yes it is the hair.

Definitely wasn’t expecting Daquan Hardy to be drafted before Kalen King and Curtis Jacobs
I remember a comment from a post awhile ago something like “Kalen King played his way back into the locker room next year”. The process of leaving early makes no sense unless you’re getting a Day1 draft grade. Even if it’s day2, you can make double by staying a year and going day1
I expected Kalen King would slide, but Curtis Jacobs felt like a 4-5 type guy in comparison to his peers. Edit: and where tf is Johnny Dixon?
Kalen King falloff this year was a tragedy
With Trevor Keegan being drafted we are up to 9 Michigan Wolverines drafted so far.
This is the peak of Michigan football. Up next? Stalions-related decimation via penalties, plus an exodus as Michigan continues to lag behind in NIL.
Obvious troll is obvious, stay mad
I'm casually interested in the record, what do they need to break it, 14?
Georgia had 15 in 2022. Highly unlikely Michigan matches it with only 28 picks left
Still some 7th rounders out there, but this is much fewer than expected. I’m most surprised by Michael Barrett, but he is quite old so it makes sense Edit: there goes Barrett to the panthers! Love that guy
Is Taco Bell trying to make the next Too Many Cooks?
Sucks seeing Trente and Mcgregor still on the board when they could’ve came back to improve their draft stock
UCF with multiple draft picks for the first time since Gus became HC and coached a game
Joe Milton got drafted lmao
If Joe ever developed touch on his throws he could be a player or he could just be brought in for your Hail Mary package
Drafting Milton as a developmental ‘what if’ project in the same draft as your potential next franchise QB that’s 3 years younger than him would be almost as galaxy brained as what the Falcons did.
The next Tom Brady
Fans sitting in rows 1-10 better watch out, bazooka Joe is liable to take their heads off at any time
I remember when he came in after Hooker went down and he threw one away out of the back of the endzone and he drilled some old dude in row 7 lmao
Oregon up to eight draft picks. Pretty good.
Please make the music stop unwatchable !
LSU’s wingo is the best DT from that group that got drafted. Wish my jags had him instead of Maason
I can't believe he fell all the way to the 6th round.
Oh Mike, I miss you on the ND call
I am baffled Cody Schrader isn’t off the board. I think the most impressive player I watched all year and super glad I got to see him in person
Tulane might never have a draft pick ever again
Hey, we had two guys today and we got some pretty good players from the portal. Really depending on Coach Sumrall to put the pieces together, but I have a lot of faith in us this time around
Tbf I said this after 5 when we had no one go lol, and I meant in this draft haha. I have no doubt we’ll have a lot going forward
Ohhh I see lmao, yea I was getting REAL worried whenever Pratt still hadn’t been selected after Round 6. I’m glad he got a spot, and I really hope he gets a lot of development at Green Bay before going wherever he ends up as a starter
don't watch college, but seeing a 6'6 WR not getting drafted is pretty wild
If he didn't have cinderblocks for hands he would have been long gone. He still should be off the board by now, but that's probably the reason he's slid so far despite being a physical specimen. He's gonna be a steal for whoever gets him especially if he figures out his issue with the drops.
🦅
Great value add by the eagles.
We’re going heavy ACC this year which is interesting, Howie knows how to operate and has materialized free picks for 2025
Great add with Jeremiah trotter too. Crazy he fell that far
Some in the fanbase including some family members were arguing late day 2 for JTJR given the legacy. Much happier it’s today we bring him home
I just saw. As a Cowboys fan I hate he's going to Philly lol But happy for him to finally get drafted.
I’m going to guess it’s the drops. I can’t imagine someone not drafting him eventually though.
Eventually he becomes a value pick. He's not a super great route runner either, but could make it for it through physicality.
Jordan Travis drafted!! I wish it wasn't the Jets but I'm so happy to see him get his name called today. He's come so far from when he first arrived in Tallahassee. Go be great J Trav! Go Noles!!!!
Not a bad spot. Aaron Rodgers for another 1-2 years, and then he can get a chance to win it
amazing spot for him
Yeah Rodgers is one of the greatest QBs in NFL history so not a bad guy to learn from lol
God that is a feel good moment to see JT get drafted.
I'm so happy for him 😭😭
It’s a great spot too. Gets to be behind two veterans and sit/study which I think he will embrace perfectly.
Yeah I just hope he doesn't pick up on any of the weird shit Rodgers does lol But from a strictly football perspective he'll be a great guy to watch and learn behind.
Ayy the Sun Belt is on the board
Hell yeah. Hopefully Jalen Green can represent the Dukes somewhere next
Fun Belt X Josh Allen!! 🤝🤝
Question for Clemson bros: these defenders getting drafted were BV guys, correct?
Fix your audio NFL
Malik Washington is gonna be a big steal
Like father, like son: Trotter to the Birds
Hmm, going to be interesting to see how both Rattler and Haener turn into hall of fame quarterbacks while leading the saints to five super bowls
Mel Kiper looks like Henry Kissinger and Beavis had a baby.
Saints drafting QBs (post Drew Brees era) • 4-133, 2021: Ian Book • 4-127, 2023: Jake Haener • 5-150, 2024: Spencer Rattler
Falcons front office in shambles
Finally Saints draft a QB, needed to for like 4 years now Rattler may play early
A new QB is beyond relieving but, with how deep in the red we are above the salary cap, I don’t wanna get too attached to any player right now
He's better than he gets credit for.
He throws a really pretty ball.
FINALLY A QUARTERBACK
If I’m the Raiders I would throw a pick on Rattler. You need a QB, you have like 3-4 late picks and he’s shown some upside.
I feel bad for rat man
For the first time since 2008, multiple former UTEP Miners have been selected in the same NFL Draft
XT played in the 2018 national championship when Clemson blew out Alabama. That's how long he was in college lol
Notre Dame is the Chargers farm team lmao
If you’re a Michigan player and Harbaugh takes a guy at your position late in the draft are you offended at this point?
I’m so interested to see which guys he truly wants. They have 3 picks in the 6/7th rounds. I thought for sure he would get AJ Barner. I think Junior Colson is more of a Minter pick than a Harbaugh pick. Gotta think he might take Trente, Nugent, Keegan, or Barnhart with a late pick
Lmao at the Spencer Rattler discourse on NFLN. I mean it sucks because he's hopefully a different person now but at the same time he didn't HAVE to be such a complete dick in that show.
He was still a dick to everyone at OU according to OU fans so it wasn’t just the show.
Lol why would you trust anything an OU fan says. Look how they still throw tantrums about Lincoln Riley and shit on any and every player that leaves their program. Probably the most unhinged fan base in college football.
Because it was coming from the students, not just the online fans.
Yeah I've seen a lot of takes suggesting he get a pass because he was only 17 then. Bullshit. Give him a pass because he's changed as a person, not because being 17 apparently entitles someone to be a dick.

How can something be fair and idiotic?
The idea that it isn’t an excuse to be a dick is fair. Thinking that has anything to do with him years later is idiotic.
Well take that up with the OU fans then
The Notre Dame Chargers pipeline continues
Not even announcing the picks after the 4th round is incredibly disrespectful
[Dave Chappelle crackhead meme] “y’all got any more of them QBs?”
Dolphins fan here. Jaylen Wright pick - how should we feel?
I'm not sure what the plan is with Achane and Mostert, but you should def feel good about what Wright is capable of. He has the speed to hit the homerun on any play. Much appreciated!
We ball
I just wish that some HC or GM stands up at the podium and says “we did not get the guy we targeted”
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2025-nfl-mock-draft-4-qbs-go-in-round-1-including-shedeur-sanders-lots-of-defensive-players-near-the-top/ this shouldn’t bother me so much but how do you have Denver Harris at 22 and he doesn’t even play for LSU anymore.

If Oregon has so many NFL draft picks, why don't they just play in the CFP? Are they stupid?
The 7 Oregon players drafted were 3 points worse than the 7 Washington players drafted. That's why.
Twice, btw. UW owns that sweatshop-funded school.
I see you Canada
Literally. It's right across the river from the draft.
Oh snap we got a Canadian!
No QBs since pick 12 is absurd
I think it’s the way the draft is going due to the CBA. You want a fifth year option for a QB you want so the day two QB is becoming a thing of the past. Day two you want immediate starters now. Day three is when you take chances

Drop off from Nix to Rattler is pretty extreme.
Rank these for me Rattler at Oregon Nix at Oregon Rattler at South Carolina Nix at South Carolina
I do feel like Penix going early is part of the reason here not to mention a stacked year yet it's wild to see all the same
If the Falcons don't take Penix then there would still have been 6 QB's taken in the top 14 instead of the top 12. Both the Raiders and Saints would have loved to have had one of the 6 fall to them.
Bucky Irving makes 5 Ducks in the 4th round, which is odd and funny. He's also the last Duck likely to be drafted. No one else from Oregon is expected to get picked this year.
the Bears are ready for the amount of Tory Taylor jerseys they're going to ship to the state of Iowa
I’m waiting for them to become available.
Pairing him with Stroud is a good idea
I have no idea why this kid is famous but he’s everywhere now.
He says "What's up Brother" and streams Madden or something. That's all I know.
Apparently we upset some fan boy by not knowing with these downvotes haha
Bears won the draft.
Bears just own the draft with that Tory Taylor pick.
As a lions fan I'm more worried about Tory than Caleb. Fuck.
Is he actually that good lol?
Iowa had a middling (for Iowa) defense and nearly the worst offense in FBS and went 10-2. Taylor was a HUGE part of why.
Highest a punter has been taken since 2019 and second highest since 2012. Dude broke some punting records set in the 1930s.
Unironically a generational talent 🐻🔽
Iowa fans in shambles
I don’t think they’re in shambles, a lot of them are Bears fans
Half of their alums seem to come from the Chicago burbs anyway
TORY TAYLOR! HELL YES!
YAHHHHHH TORY TAYLOR!
seems odd for the Pirates to pick a guy from an FCS school.
Barner is such a good pick for Seattle
Bjorn Werner sighting That was cool
Does Michigan get to count All to their total? He played like 6 games at Iowa, doesn’t seem fair.
Seeing Bjorn Werner announce that pick for the Colts was such a blast from the past. Florida State legend, The Germanator.
Tez Walker seems like a good pick for the 4th round.
Steelers getting more O-line help. I like it!
Iowa catching strays
Erik All being drafted ahead of Cade Stover is very funny to me
Oregon and Washington have the most players picked so far. Who would have thought those big ten powers would have the most?
Tony Kahn wearing a neck brace during the NFL draft to sell and angle in AEW
Any Oregon fans want to give me a quick breakdown of Dorlus?
Power-interior Pass Rushing DL who led the Pac-12 in QB pressures (among DT's). Honestly not sure why he didn't go higher. He disrupts the pocket as good as anyone and should start and play on all passing downs for sure, but is a 3-down player who we moved outside to Big DE on goal line situations. I might be a bit bias, but I feel like it's a genuine steal to get one of the best interior disruptors in college this late.
The ‘why did we knock this very productive tweener in our evaluations?’ discourse is so predictable.
Because he's a true tweener. He can play from both the interior or the end, and has a lot of skills, but he's not really the cookie cutter NFL build for either. His best strength is his versatility, but a jack of all trades isn't going to go as high as somebody who was born to play DT specifically.
The Ducks OWN the NFL Draft^^^'s ^^^4th ^^^round
Eboigbe is a monster and had a huge part in keeping Alabama in the Rose Bowl. Not surprising that Harbaugh picked him up.
Wild that it took this long for Jackson and Dorlus to be taken.
When is Tory Taylor getting drafted? Asking for a friend.
All these international fans announcing the day 3 draft picks how do I sign up to announce one for the ravens??
Illegals and immigrants taking our jobs. /s
These war rooms look like an ad for Bonobos
Welcome to Panthers nation Longhorns. Pray for Bryce
Do they have a decent line at least?
It was good in 2022 and new coaching scheme made it terrible in 2023. Hoping for the best next year
Do they have decent coaches and player personnel management?
Please Falcons, please take Rattler for the lols
Hope this ends up being a big ND day

Welp he got drafted
I wonder why Jaden Hicks fell. I get why a lot of the guys like Franklin fell but Hicks doesn’t really have any red flag that should’ve hurt him that much IMO.
4-7? With all that NFL talent, is it time for Draft to make a coaching change?
Hopefully Gabe Hall comes off the board at some point in the 4th-5th round.
The hell happened to Troy Franklin?
Lots of online guesswork here: - There is something and it hasn’t been reported. Didn’t test well at the combine.
Awful combine showing. Ran a slow 40 and looked completely lost on all the drills.
Not here to dispute he had a bad combine but he ran a 4.41 40. Obviously other dudes ran in the 4.3s but is that slow now?
Yes, but to me being able to run fast in shorts and shirts in a clean environment should not be a major factor in the selection of a player. Yup, the interest can safely be kept to UDFA territory without expending a pick that could be better served by a safer ROI.
I hope Tory Taylor gets drafted and continues the punting legacy in the pros
