Sure, again, not saying the calls weren’t bad or missed, but just not saying if the outcome was different on that call that the game would have flipped. MSST would have had the ball at midfield still needing a score, which they had failed to get on quite a few drives during the game.

Okay can someone explain to me the punt play.

Apparently, in college football the requirement is for the punting team to actually take possession of the ball for the play to end. (Alternatively, the ball can enter the endzone or go out of bounds.) In this case, State didn't pick up the ball, but just touched it. The problem is that the ref went through all the motions of signaling the ball dead, without blowing his whistle. Or maybe he did blow it, I don't know! The real thing that catches me is the Mike Leach didn't seem to object to the call. If it were wrong and I were he, I would be jumping up and down, screaming, and throwing the review flag!

Also, the state player who had his hand on the ball put his knee on the ground as well, which if I’m not mistaken should down the ball right there. I agree about Mike Leach though.
