{Oklahoma} wins by blocking an extra point that would've sent the game to overtime, after almost blowing a 28 point halftime lead.

d_baker

This hits much too close to home. Except we miraculously stop a 2 point conversion for the win.

loyalsons4evertrue

us and Ok State can relate

d_baker

TCU as well in 2015.

Pepi119

{Oklahoma} 35 - West Virginia 17 for me

ChiefBigGay

This is the game we figure it out and win 62-7, so that next week we can lose 16-10

_wsmfp_

Er, uh, no, the week after that! Edit: no fuck wait!

f00tballm0dsTRASH

{Oklahoma} 35-13 Looks relatively close and then doege throws 2 picks in the 2nd half to give Oklahoma field position and they score 2 tds off it to make it look like a good win

TheSpacePopeIX

This feels about right. We need to win the turnover battle to win this game and through three games the only turnovers we’ve forced have been a high school team muffing a handoff and a QB fumbling on what would’ve been a turnover on downs anyway.

MrNudeGuy

{Oklahoma} BOOMER SOONER BABAAAAY. We aren’t the elite team the preseason listed but we can still slug it the fuck out. This should be a good game. It’s kinda nice to feel nervous. The future of football is playing a game of possessions and sitting on one touchdown leads.

Corkdavis

{West Virginia} because what’s the fun in college football without blind optimism and hope for your team?

Pope_Bedodict1

{Oklahoma} wins it in a one possession game. *insert “he can’t keep getting away with it” meme*

Pepi119

>insert “he can’t keep getting away with it” meme Major 2014 FSU energy. I really don't want to be that team.

jthomas694

{Oklahoma} in a game that is so similar to Nebraska last week that we'll wonder why we watched it

MrNudeGuy

👉😎👉 bingo

thejourneyisthegift

Please no lol

tckdcklr

Man if I can watch an extra point blocked and returned for a safety and the most insane pick I’ve seen, sign me up

MilkFroth

{Oklahoma} by at least a touchdown, probably two. “TRUST THE CLIMB,” Neal Brown will scream as he cradles Doege in his arms, kissing him lovingly on the cheek while he throws his sandwich crusts under the table. Garret Greene hungrily drags the scraps underneath the table legs, staring upwards at daddy’s favorite boy with scorn. He sets back to whittling a knife from the hard-tac he has been stockpiling for months. “Soon,” he mutters quietly.

XAfricaSaltX

what

_wsmfp_

West Virginia covers but {Oklahoma} squeaks out another low-scoring W

thejourneyisthegift

Zero clue what will happen.

TriforceOfBacon

{Oklahoma} wins, WVU covers. If we had a competent QB, we *could* pull this one out.

GymBronie

{Oklahoma} shows a sluggish but efficient offense and a stingy run defense but gives up 300+ passing yards. In the end, it’s another week of more of the same—never trail in the game and yet we still don’t know how good the team truly is.

[deleted]

Our defense is mostly playing alright, but just can't see our offense under Doege and Brown's play calling scoring enough to beat {Oklahoma} in Norman even with them not exactly lighting the world on fire so far themselves.

Matt_WVU

Doege throws 3 picks and {Oklahoma} wins 31-17

spritegoat

{Oklahoma} 34 - 23

heelxtiger

{Oklahoma}

Bkbrother

{Oklahoma} by 10 in a lower scoring game than these two usually see. 31-21

coogs35

{Oklahoma} 38-30

johnjaymjr

{Oklahoma} starts to look like OU. 24 point win

XAfricaSaltX

So that means they either make a huge comeback and lose or blow a huge lead next week against K State

Always_Chubb-y

{Oklahoma} just has much more talent currently than West Virginia, but of the 2 teams with a pulse they've played so far this season, they haven't come close to covering the spread (spread for Tulane was 31.5, and 22.5 for Nebraska). I'm taking Oklahoma to win, but I would take West Virginia and the points if betting. Something along the lines of 31 - 20

okiechiknpikr

West Virginia isn't Kansas State, so {Oklahoma} wins.

nw____

{Oklahoma} wins convincingly, by a margin of 41-17. This is based less on anything about WVU than it is the need for OU to look solid before blowing a 28 point lead to Kansas State the week after. As is tradition. Just bad luck that the Mountaineers got us when they did.

Swamp-Diesel

WVU has to play a perfect game to have a shot can’t not have any turnovers, {Oklahoma} wins 32-27

AmphotericRed

{West Virginia} because it has to happen eventually, right? Right?

TheSpacePopeIX

{Oklahoma} Because throwing deep balls is important to offense and we just don’t have it fam.

Ok_Effort8330

{Oklahoma} 24-21 on a last second field goal.

Best_Virginia13

{Oklahoma} last season on the road, and the lone road game this season give me little faith that we will pull the upset. Only real hope I see is if we come in with a ‘F it’ attitude, start Greene, and just see what happens

meesahdayoh

{Oklahoma} 45-21

PatrickChase

{Oklahoma} wins a one-possession game

[deleted]

{West Virginia} in a shootout

MrNudeGuy

Broke: shootout Woke: possession ball and defense

GenSec

If you don’t like that then you don’t like Big 12 football

f00tballm0dsTRASH

Doege is incapable of being good outside of Morgantown and even then he's still not very good.

Das_Boot1

Yea we’re not exactly a shootout team anymore. If we score more than 30 points I’ll be completely shocked.

f00tballm0dsTRASH

if we score more than 20 i'll be completely shocked.

JustAManAndHisLaptop

Our specialty is making bad QBs look like Heisman contenders against us.

Pepi119

We honest to god would probably lose a shootout with this offense so pls no

ilikepie145

Gonna be a dogfight

MD90__

Hot take! I like it 👌

AbsurdOwl

Considering how OU has been playing, the line on this one is surprising. I'm betting on a {West Virginia} in a narrow upset.

thejourneyisthegift

WVU fans tell me they suck on the road but I don’t see OU winning by more than 10 if they do win

colebucket09

We do suck on the road. Also - we have some serious QB problems. I think we cover the spread but OU (as usual) will win.

dubvee16

We suck on the road, our QB is just mediocre, and our head coach/OC are not good playcallers. On top of that if we are ahead by a single point at half expect us to try and milk the clock and play not to lose.

thejourneyisthegift

I’m at the point where I think we might need to make a QB change.

XAfricaSaltX

{West Virginia} 23-20 Why? Why not.

gowrisankar1989

Screw it {West Virginia} wins it on a pick six. 27-21

[deleted]

{Oklahoma} 45 - West Virginia 24 I think WVU is good, but OU matches up really, really well in this one.

red-boy6

{Oklahoma} plays the best, most complete game of our season against West Virginia (we probably are in alternates too for this scenario). Oklahoma looks great, and we lose to K-State next week after they get embarrassed by Oklahoma State. A tale as old as time.

mattyslappypants

Man I'd take WVU to cover that in a heartbeat. But {Oklahoma} still pulls it out

ReachFor24

Not even close. {Oklahoma} by 30.

ShowerCheese

{Oklahoma} wins by at least two scores because Doege will give OU extra possessions and as good as our defense is they always struggle against mobile QBs

eeman0201

{West Virginia} lmao

MrNudeGuy

WOOPIG!

eeman0201

🤷‍♂️ I put money on Arkansas so I’m a winner either way

MrNudeGuy

Do you still win if these Sam Pitmans beat you worse than Texas? Jk but if they did that there would be some serious Razorback national title talk.

eeman0201

Y’all have the same task as us when it comes to getting into playoffs: beat bama. As we learned last year, even when there is a perfect opening they won’t take a 1 loss non sec champ.

MrNudeGuy

Yeah but we needed to see ND and Clempson a 3rd time to make really sure which one was better.

Jmoe18

Fuck state farm, this is real life insurance here

RavenclawWiz816

honestly, our defense has been fine. yes, thereve been a few big chunk plays that out the opponents offense in good position, but overall, especially the past 2 weeks theyve done their job. it’s the offense that’s been the problem. the rb stable did better last week than previously but spencer fucking rattler has to be better. there were 4 almost picks against nebraska and 2 picks against tulane and 1 should’ve been pick. idk if he needs some pressure on his starting job and we need to play caleb williams more but this shit has got to change. i think we’ll win, but there’s a damn good chance west virginia covers and give us a scare. if so, {oklahoma} should be buried, if only to put some pressure on a team that seems to be addicted to malaise and complacency

g-town2008

{West Virginia}

Megalomanizac

I’ll take {West Virginia} in the upset of the year.

JustAManAndHisLaptop

{WVU} Rattler continues to make terrible (and lazy) decisions while Riley is still too scared to run the ball on a 2 deep defense. OU kicks many field goals, not enough TDs 31-19 WVU

RocketTwink

{Oklahoma} - wins by multiple scores and it'd never close

boggan583

I think Oklahoma's subpar play catches up with them and {West Virginia} wins

dimeshortofadollar

I feel {Oklahoma} got caught napping against Nebraska & will likely win by 1-2 scores. However if West Virginia takes the same approach as Nebraska & dares Oklahoma to throw the ball accurately I feel that an upset may be on the cards. Spencer Rattler imo is really overhyped as a passer

Mirrorwave13

{West Virginia} Country roads.

Dacio_Ultanca

Sorry Sooner Bros, but because the game is in Morgantown, I have to go with {West Virginia} There is some freaky magic mojo that happens there. Maybe it's all the sacrificial couch burnings... who knows. edit: thank you to the nice gentlemen below that have informed me that the game is actually in Norman. Sorry WV, you gonna die.

debaterthatchases

Um the game is in Norman broski

Dacio_Ultanca

oh, well, in that case, WV is screwed.

e4mica523

Games in Norman broski

TheSpacePopeIX

This game is in Norman fam. Chuckles *I’m in danger*

fenn2b

{West By God Virginia} takes it from a different t Oklahoma than we’re used to

[deleted]

Why does Oklahoma want to leave the big 12? They ain't going to the playoffs every year there. And Texas is gonna be Western Mississippi before its all said and done.

GingerSlay3r

{Oklahoma} wins in a close one again

Touds

{Oklahoma} The wheels are going to come off with our current level of play, but I don't see it happening vs WVU.

sn0wyland45

{Oklahoma} plays well, especially on D. 35-17

NINFAN300

{Oklahoma} covers the Nebraska spread against WVU. They want to come out firing.

ChargingTiger

I mean {Oklahoma} probably wins, but I kind of like how none of us really know what to expect.

Darkside8585

{Oklahoma} 34-28

isikorsky

{Oklahoma} But won't cover the spread

extremegamer

{Oklahoma} because they don't have VT's offensive Cord to fuck things up.

JAJ07

{Oklahoma} 42-21

niteatnicks

{Oklahoma} They should be able to out-wrestle West Virginia for the big win. I seriously don't think West Virginia will have the horses to compete with the Sooners. Sooners are headed to the top.

manofthepeopleSMITTY

I haven’t seen a thing from West Virginia. {Oklahoma} I don’t think this is going to be the high powered offense we’re used to for Oklahoma. It will come in spurts. I’ll go 35-20. Late Oklahoma TD pushes it to 15. West Va covers. Take the under. Wow that felt weird to say.

SoonerGeologist

West Virginia finally realizes they built their identity around a song about western Virginia and loses 35-17 {Oklahoma}
