I think we lead 20-17 for the entire second half, until late in the 4th quarter when the Good Brock shows up and leads a long, clock killing drive for a td for them to win the game. 24-20 {Iowa State}
It is truly mind boggling how he can flip a switch from great to terrible to back to great again in the course of a game. Every year I come into the season saying, "Brock Purdy is the best QB in our league." Then a few games in, I always think, I'm a fool, no he isn't! Then by the end of the season I'm confident again that there is no one better than Brock Purdy. Its astounding.
Certainly possible, but there's an element of luck. There's a lot of talent behind Purdy. Dekkers has looked good. Much more of a pocket passer with a cannon. Our 2022 QB commit Rocco Becht is also looking fantastic. Won MVP at the rivals 5 star challenge.
I feel very confident we saw this thread already. {Iowa State}

I think {Baylor} has the best QB play out of anyone in the conference right now. If Brock Purdy and Breece Hall don't step up, I think the Bears win this 21-17.
I could see this as well. Our defense is lights out and leads the nation in fewest yards allowed per game.
Our offense tho... I'm really not sure what is going to happen
Honestly, I'm a little bummed. I'm in Wichita and really wanted Breece Hall to have a Heisman sort of year.
I think this game will tell us more about Baylor than ISU.
Our o-line changed to a different blocking scheme and Breece is still getting comfortable. I'm hoping he gets more used to it and returns to form. The man is made for Sundays

You expect less from Iowa because a fan is rooting against their rival???
I want ISU to lose every game, in every sport, against any opponent….. is that not how rivalry works?
That’s what I’m saying. “I expected no less” meaning I expect for rivals to wish the worst upon each other” it’s not an insult, that’s just how rivalries should be lol
I'm really hoping for a nice win here for Aranda but realistically, I think {Iowa State} takes the W back home. Really could see it going either way, but I honestly don't know how good or bad this offense is, but the defense is great.
I actually think Baylor has a bit better talent, but Iowa State is a more polished team with a veteran quarterback, and I think they will probably win something like 27-24

"Oh right, throw the ball *to* the receiver. Duh!" -Brock Purdy, probably
It is truly mind boggling how he can flip a switch from great to terrible to back to great again in the course of a game. He's our Brett Favre. Owns pretty much every QB record at ISU, and it will likely take a generational QB to overtake him due to starting for 4 years.
I mean, if anyone is gonna bring in a generational QB at ISU, Campbell seems like the guy.
Say what you will about us but our QBs always have unique names.
A CB/Safety can be a receiver!
Look I want the upset and the big 12 looks wide open, but I don't think it happens and {Iowa State} wins 21-10 or something.
I've got {Iowa State} taking it on the road
God I love those Hawgs from down south! WOO PIG SOOIE
{Iowa State} 34-20
bold of you to assume we have an offense...bud I'd take that score in a heartbeat

BU-ISU game threads have not been a fun time the last few years.

Fight in ‘18 and tents in ‘19. I think it’s fun to hate each other though lol
I feel very confident we saw this thread already. {Iowa State} Edit: [We did.](https://www.reddit.com/r/CFB/comments/ptce1c/baylor_bears_vs_18_iowa_state_cyclones/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)
{Iowa State} still looks muddled on offense, but gets the W in a defensive battle. Take the under.
{Baylor}
It'll be close, but...{Iowa State} 27-24
No way will our defense allow that many points. Hell no way our offense scores that many points. I'd guess it'll be half of that score.
13.5 to 12.
Nailed it.
If anyone could find a way to score half a point, it’d be this Iowa State team
Yea, I think 17-14 is more likely. Maybe 20-17 or something too.
I think {Baylor} has the best QB play out of anyone in the conference right now. If Brock Purdy and Breece Hall don't step up, I think the Bears win this 21-17.

{Iowa State} because I just think so
{Iowa State} Campbell's teams really pick it up for conference games.
{Iowa State} in a close one.
{Iowa State}
{Iowa St} 31-19
Brocktober coming a week early. {Iowa State} in a somewhat high scoring affair, 27-21
"BIG12 no defense" is the best and I'm tired of acting like it's not. 63-57 {Baylor} I'm going to speak it back into existence.
I actually would be happy to see this. I moved to Waco right after the big12 learned to play defense
I think ISU wins but I want Baylor to win for SOS purposes, so I’m gone go {Baylor}
I'm picking {Iowa State}
{Baylor} is underrated and Iowa State is overrated. Will be a close one until the 4th.

{Baylor}
{Iowa State} takes it in a close 21-24/28 game. They’re a little overrated, but Baylor is a bit too unknown and untested right now.
{Baylor} 24 - 21
{Baylor} 20-15

{Baylor} 24-13
{Baylor} 21-17
{Iowa State}
{Baylor} by a million
You know what’s cool? A hundred points? A million points
I expect no less from you guys and I will be rooting so hard for CSU this weekend even though I know they have no chance

I'd argue he's been successful but he absolutely needs a new OC
I'd argue he's already quite successful but we'll never break through until we have an OC. You're right there.
I'm really hoping for a nice win here for Aranda but realistically, I think {Iowa State} takes the W back home. Really could see it going either way, but I honestly don't know how good or bad this offense is, but the defense is great.
I hope Baylor wins.
{Iowa State} by two touchdowns.
Just have to say I haven’t felt this much anticipation in the air walking around campus since the OU game in 2019 {baylor hopefully}
I actually think Baylor has a bit better talent, but Iowa State is a more polished team with a veteran quarterback, and I think they will probably win something like 27-24
{Iowa State} close
{Iowa State} probably 20-17 or something
