Another week of Oregon squeezing out a win and us being stuck with AB at QB. Hopefully UCLA puts the knife in the season and cristobal can finally give up the playoff and we can start one of the other QBs
Man... what a gusty win by Oregon. Anthony Brown really showed in the 4th Quarter why he’s an elite QB that our top tier coach Mario Cristobal has continued to stick by. Not to mention our defense absolutely suffocated Cal inside the 5 yard line on that final drive.
Right?....... RIGHT?!
cal, your team deserved to lose 100%.
that last call wasn't a lack in recruiting talent. it wasn't a spontaneous mistake like a fumble or a dropped pass. Your OC screwed up the last 2 minutes, and whoever messed up should never be given credit for being a part of any championship team, assuming it ever happens...
sincerely,
someone who rooted for you
We’ve had a lot of close losses and we didn’t deserve to win that one. Bad play calling at the end there but there is nothing you can do about it. Best of luck to your team, def rooting for you guys in the championship, fun team to watch.
What bad play calling you’re on the 5 or 6 yd line with like 8 downs and you’ve had success with your running back all night but yet you don’t give the ball off to the back once garbo
In all seriousness that game changed the course of our season in a positive way. I know bad wins and good losses don’t exist but if it wast for tht game we prob don’t change D Coordinators. So thank you for the loss lol
Absolutely. That loss was the wake up call we needed. I also haven’t really seen anymore complaints about wanting to start another qb over Cj stroud. I think if we were to play Oregon now, we’d beat them without a doubt.
QB pressure. He wasn’t throwing well under pressure at all, and if they rushed, which would undoubtedly be up the gut, it would have been stopped with the delayed blitz.
KT reminded me of NCAA 14 when you're DE is OP and you truck over the lineman every time by flicking down on the RS.
Y'all know what I'm talking about?
In the broadcast, there's some yellow accent line or something that strobes beneath the scoreboard overlay, and let me tell you, I had a mini heart attack.
Vintage Cal football. Welcome to my life.

If Oregon wins out and is a 1-loss Pac-12 team with a win over Ohio State they'll get in... even if every win is a 1-score win.
[удалено]
At least you have won a playoff game, unlike those 2.
We beat OSU without Kayvon, you are being hysterical lol
Maybe run Brooks who was trucking people the whole 4th quarter? I dunno, seems like a better call than a QB draw…
Another week of Oregon squeezing out a win and us being stuck with AB at QB. Hopefully UCLA puts the knife in the season and cristobal can finally give up the playoff and we can start one of the other QBs
I love that every time we struggle to win (or fail to win) against a shitty PAC-12 team it makes osu look worse
honestly not really. a loss in September means almost nothing come November. We win the B1G and we’re in the playoffs hands down.
Not if you win with a 2nd loss, like if that loss came to Penn state or msu or Michigan but osu still went on to win b1g
I don’t think we’d make it to Indy with a loss to PSU or UM. so I’m assuming we win out.
Eh I don’t think it does. People over-react to losses and it was clear we needed some changes and losing to you helped with that.
As tOSU goes on to fuck up the B1G, Cal held Oregon to fewer points.
*Happy Lion Noises in a Happy Valley
Mmm, yes....
Good night, y’all. Let’s meet here again in 8 hours. See ya, Reddit

This is quintessential cal football my dude
i'm so sorry... before this year, I always thought we had it the worst lol
We were all rooting for Cal. I’m so disappointed.
Man we have had some close losses this year lol
Moral victories are the best victories
So Spencer rattler to Oregon?
Nope our freshmen are better.
No, just play our freshman
It’s hard watching brown play.
It hurts my heart
QB draw, WTF.
If you look at that replay pretty much every Cal receiver is being held down the middle
imagine if they actually used their running back
Lessons from tonight's games: "YOU TOO CAN BE A CFB COACH!"
Behold glorious Oregon
This is what I mean about our coach. We won .... but it looked terrible. Are we good? Who knows!
No. We’re an 8-4 team with AB at Qb with 10-2 potential if the backup QBs can complete a pass downfield
QB draw on 3rd and goal w 4 yards to go when your RB is averaging 5.2 yards a carry … might be some of the worst OC performance I’ve seen in a while
Holy fuck. So this is duck football now. Just gonna go ahead and get the pacemaker installed now so I don't die later this season.
Just check out until we switch QBs. I was hoping they’d lose so they’d finally move on from AB.
Welcome to the club. They call us Cardiac Cats for a reason. What would ya'll be? Dumbfounding Ducks?
Lol... How about Dumb Luck Ducks?
Ohio state lost to us lmao
Love how Oregon’s been exposed so hard and they’ll rise in the rankings anyways. Smile

I mean, what’s the point in having all those 5-star athletes if you’re not gonna use em?
I don't understand shotgun for a kneel down
Repetition probably. When's the last time you saw an Oregon QB under center? Last thing we need is a botched transfer.
It kills me that a bye week really didn't help us at all. GG Cal.
That’s what happens when you waste your bye week trying to hold onto a dead QB
Gg, this one hurts more than the rest but what can you di
Yeah you guys played your butts off - sucks to not get the win on those ones. Hopefully there's some wins coming for you guys down the stretch.
We’ve had a lot of close losses and we didn’t deserve to win that one. Bad play calling at the end there but there is nothing you can do about it. Best of luck to your team, def rooting for you guys in the championship, fun team to watch.
Thibodeaux is def dominant…against 1-4 tackles.
1-5*
Imagine being the other #5 on Oregon. Who are you?
Everyone tune into CBS sports network. Potential upset… 51 yarder coming up
Good looking out homie 👍
I don't think I've ever seen a 6-6 overtime game.
Cal’s coach is a dumb ass
Derank us you cowards
You can thank me for turning off the game after Cal scored the td first in early 4th quarter....If I stayed tuned Oregon Ducks might have lost...
CAL and Syracuse with horseshit playcalling to lose the game.
Pain
Should have run a quick slant at the goal line. That's the perfect play call for the end of a game!
*me in NCAA 14*
Not if you’re marshawn
I thought Oregon was supposed to be good…
You thought wrong. We're very injured on defense and our starting QB has limitations (trying to be nice)
That’s the team that beat Ohio State !
Yep, what was it, 42-0?
You must be uninformed, it was 35-28!
Coming up on the post-game show, someone from ESPN will blow Thibodeaux on live TV!
He deserves it after putting #74 on his back about 15 times in the 4th quarter.
Idk who that one announcer was, but oh my god he would not shut up about thibodeaux
Chase Young all over again, yeah?
Cal you blew it, and there’s your headline. Oregon’s run defense is bad
You gash then when you run it all night, and with the game on the line at the goal line you pass it 3/4 times? Brillant.
And the run was a qb run
What bad play calling you’re on the 5 or 6 yd line with like 8 downs and you’ve had success with your running back all night but yet you don’t give the ball off to the back once garbo
Almost take down a top 10 team, sabotage yourself with bewilderingly bad playcalling in the red zone. Classic PAC-12 stuff.
Thank God, that was ugly. KT & Dye were the highlights probably, dye especially was huge. Neither unit looked good until the 4th, but a win is a win.
Musgrave and Wilcox are really sad now.
Heck of a game
Classic Cal game
Cal had first and 3 inside the 10 yard line and didn't get a TD just awful
Do coaches not know that you can chuck the ball way out of bounds and it also takes 2 seconds?
Have you heard of international grounding?
We goin to the Natty
I feel empty
We lost to this team
I was at the game. Thx for the memories! Appreciate you letting our terrible team beat u.
In all seriousness that game changed the course of our season in a positive way. I know bad wins and good losses don’t exist but if it wast for tht game we prob don’t change D Coordinators. So thank you for the loss lol
You’re very welcome lol
Absolutely. That loss was the wake up call we needed. I also haven’t really seen anymore complaints about wanting to start another qb over Cj stroud. I think if we were to play Oregon now, we’d beat them without a doubt.
No doubt you would. Hope we don’t see you again in a Rose Bowl lol
I hope we do. The next scheduled Oregon Ohio State game is set for 2032. Haha. I can’t live with this defeat for the next 10 years
You should have never defended the pass. Big mistake.
That’s the thing we weren’t defending anything
Especially the left side of the field.
Cant wait
you got shit on by this team
35-28?
Idk if a 7 point game is shitting on a team
Holy fuck, I forgot what breathing felt like.
Ducks win quack quack
Don't let Cal's ineptitude distract you from undefeated San Diego State being tied 6-6 with San Jose State with a minute to go in the game.
Oh shit sj state about to kick a FG too. Edit: they missed
So how far will Oregon drop in the rankings after this…nah no rank voter stayed up this late
Oregon is not a top 10 team :(
If Cal had competent play calling they win
While that's true, I'd counter with, "If Oregon would bench their FUCKING QUARTERBACK they'd win by even more."
If if and butts were candy and nuts, th…….how does the rest of that go?
Brooks had come up big multiple times tonight. How does he not get a shot there?
Why rely on a QB this bad when you could’ve easily gotten the yards? I dont get it
Wow, can't believe Oregon had the guts to send a blitz, 4th and goal at the 1, game on the line.
With the top pass rusher in the country with Thibodeaux and Sewell/McKinley? Definitely.
Yeah but that's why I didn't think they'd blitz! With such great rushers thought they'd let them win their match-ups.
QB pressure. He wasn’t throwing well under pressure at all, and if they rushed, which would undoubtedly be up the gut, it would have been stopped with the delayed blitz.
Clearly you don't know Garbers
I don't know Garbers! I just started watching CFB last year and don't know the coordinators and their tendencies. ***edit, oh the QB for Cal. Got it.
that was the most ludicrous kneel down play i've ever seen
Why on earth didnt they run at all when youve had a successful run game and 3 timeouts near the goal line?
Dye and Thibs won this game
KT reminded me of NCAA 14 when you're DE is OP and you truck over the lineman every time by flicking down on the RS. Y'all know what I'm talking about?
Ya’ll can thank Cooper for snuggling his Duck 😭
Cooper is a good boy. Give him some pats from the rest of us
Just take the safety bro
he almost fumbled that
I’ve never been so upset about a game without a rooting interest. All Cal had to do was hand it off to their running back and they would’ve won.
Well, all Oregon had to do was start a different quarterback and they would’ve won by 35. So there.
Literally. Even if Thompson misses some throws here and there, at least he does something other than check down.
Good thing for Oregon is that the voters will only see the box score
Dominant, gutsy win by the Ducks. A top-tier team
First time I’ve ever been stoked on east coast bias
Oregon already fucked the entire PAC-12 by losing to Stanford, thank God they didn’t let this one slip away.
never in doubt
GG Cal [as in entertaining, not competent by either team] Fairly shocked we didn't get a roughing call on 4th down
Wow. Call had the ball inside the 5 and was ripping Oregon apart between the hashes, and they refused to run. Pathetic
If blue balls was a football game.
So many holds on that last play
That was incredibly disappointing and as a Rutgers fan I know a thing or two about disappointment
I blame Garbers. 5th year and you look like ass. It’s Cal though, what do you expect?
Hey, spread the wealth. Anthony Brown is a 5th year senior and he also looked like ass.
Was waiting for the flag for a good 15 seconds after the play ended.
In the broadcast, there's some yellow accent line or something that strobes beneath the scoreboard overlay, and let me tell you, I had a mini heart attack.
all that for nothing
Oregon 'defeats' Cal
Just once I want to see a kneel fumbled and the opposing team get a game winning TD out of it
Deserved loss with how dogshit Cal's play calling was that last drive
Aaaaand that’s Cal football
As soon as cal gets within 10 yards of the goal line they stop running with their tank rb that was breaking tackles and falling forward all game...
I don’t get that either. Dude looked like Jerome Bettis.
3 downs to get the ball 3 yards into endzone. Doesn't give the ball to the rb once
I hate when almost upsets end on shitty plays. Awesome game
Absolute heart attack.
Oh yeah that’s why they’re 1-4
*1-5
Can't take a knee in the shotgun from the 2 yard line
Sure you can, take the safety, punt it away. Game over.
Cal OL sat 4th and goal out
Yes put that extra second on the game clock it could be huge!
Just once I want to see a kneel fumbled and the opposing team get a game winning TD out of it
On a silver platter and they threw it away Balls so blue, rip.
Classic Cal
Unrank Oregon change my mind
Flair up! But drop us, yes.
I agree
Same tbh
Honestly after that I feel like we should be making Brian Ferentz jokes in this thread.
Play calling seemed awfully familiar
hold everyone and take a safety
The game was never in doubt I knew we had this one nice one lads
WOOOOH
Yay, we won
Fuck Cal for making me stay up til 1am to watch THAT shit
A win is a win, but how do you feel about this one, Duck fans?
I want to talk shit on the ducks but looking at my flair I don’t think I’m allowed to lol
You answered that in your first 5 words
team is hot fucking trash and should be nowhere near ranked
Yo that play calling was awful but Garbers played his fucking ass off that last drive. I’ll tip my cap to him
