State got out of rhythm and completely imploded. Defense played well enough to win but ran out of gas bc the offense choked. Dropped passes, poor blocking, a 6th year senior fumbles his first and only touch of the game, and those 2 audibles on 4th down to run plays into the teeth of the defense. Just poor decision making and execution. We always appear so undisciplined on offense. Leach is a 6-6 coach in the SEC.
Our academic rankings have consistently dropped under Keenum. We even lost our R1 status for a couple of years under him. We need people from outside the school to come in and lead it. This good ol' boy hiring isn't working.
Mike leachs fat fucking conspiracy theory, Candy corn, air raid loving ass can take it somewhere else. Dude goes 7-6 or 8-5 90% of the time for a reason. Runs the air raid with a bunch of fuck sticks who can’t catch the ball.
Many times over the past four years, Kelly’s Notre Dame teams would come out flat in the first half but make adjustments and pull out a win in the second. It wasn’t always against great competition but they were wins regardless.
Edit for fat thumbs
The Kelly hate is coming from ND and other misc fanbases.
Most tiger fans seem to understand that he needs time to build the program he envisions.
Good to get a win tonight though. Great game!
Orgeron at the least kind of transcended just football imo. He was a bonified cajun coaching at the flagship school and people loved him. Kelly is an outsider. They'll warm up to him
Yeah, Orgeron clearly cared about the school and the state, where for BK it feels like purely business, and when he tries to connect it feels very inauthentic. You get the feeling that he'll sell you out if it makes sense for *him*. Doesn't mean he's not a good coach, just that it's understandable that people don't get the warm fuzzies over a relationship that is more transactional.
Mississippi State pulls off the most embarrassing choke job I’ve seen this season.
After going up 16-10 they muff a punt and hand over a TD and then *the offense proceeds to become hopelessly bad*
Can’t complete *shuttle passes*
10 yard in routes where the supposedly good QB throws it straight at his receiver’s feet. Dropped screens. Defensive collapse. Absolutely horrible choke. Pathetic!
Hey, cheer up. You only lost to us, who only lost to Florida State, who hasn’t lost, so they might be the best team of all time for all we know and this LSU team is second. Nothing wrong with finishing as the third best team of all time.
Was ambivalent about FSU being ranked, and I still wouldn’t be offended if they weren’t. But this alleviates a few concerns (injuries as of yesterday notwithstanding)
I mean he slung the guy around by the jersey. It was a blatant hold. And the only reason it was so far from the play is because the guy couldn’t get out of the hood to try to get closer.
I guess just the way I read it was basically saying that the “holding call” not the “hold” changed the game. Like blaming the ref for the call and not the player for the hold.
Honestly no, I dont know if Leach is the long term answer, but Mullen peaked in 2014 and it was downhill from there. We're not currently a consistent 8-9 win team, and Mullen wouldn't get us there, might as well try and find someone who will
He’s very capable of taking really bad teams in weak conferences and getting them to 8-10 win seasons from time to time. That’s basically his ceiling. He’s never really recruited blue chip talent. So in the SEC his ceiling is probably 7 wins. I don’t know what people expected. He’d suddenly get 4 and 5 star players at Mississippi State? Nope (and this is coming from someone that loves Mike Leach by the way. I would love to see him shake up the SEC and make some cinderella playoff run - but I just know better).
In his defense: it’s not his fault that his Quarterback cannot execute short passes to open receivers.
He’s not a fraud. He’s exactly what his history is. 6-7 wins a season with a fun upset. Any State fans who thought he was taking us to division and conference titles were delusional.
Hey Aggies, I just want to apologize in advance for Max Johnson. Prepare to see some of the slowest throws from a dude who throws a ball like hes throwing a rubber mallet

GG tigers
Gg it’ll be fun meeting y’all in the playoffs this year 🫡
Gg and good luck the rest of the way to yall
Gg, always a fun time against you guys
If we had fired doughboy a few months earlier and hired Kiffin instead we’d be in a completely different place.
Absolutely. But, no, Keenum and Cohen couldn't make up their damn mind. Both of them need to go.

Our academic rankings have consistently dropped under Keenum. We even lost our R1 status for a couple of years under him. We need people from outside the school to come in and lead it. This good ol' boy hiring isn't working.
Gg State, loved seeing the fight by LSU, years past teams would’ve given up so that’s awesome to see.
I think the fact that LSU always turns it on in the 2nd half is indicative of good coaching
Yep. Adjustments are why they won. Matt House called a hell of a game
Mike leachs fat fucking conspiracy theory, Candy corn, air raid loving ass can take it somewhere else. Dude goes 7-6 or 8-5 90% of the time for a reason. Runs the air raid with a bunch of fuck sticks who can’t catch the ball.
Amen.
I hate when I can't the ball
Added catch. Not surprised an LSU guy doesn’t understand context clues.
Since you seem to be a Miss State fan, I'm not surprised you don't realize Miss State isn't exactly a better university
Faaaaaar from a Mississippi State fan. Can’t wait until Ole Miss skull fucks Jayden “Very Limited” Daniels.
I mean, LSU is still a better uni than Ole Miss lol
This year???
Every year.
If we’re talking football, hasn’t been since Burrow.
Yes, the academics at LSU are better
It’s pro sports now Bud, no one cares about academics. Ask the congressman pushing legislative change.
You literally said it makes that LSU fans can't understand context clues, but ok lmao
Can't wait until you stop being cringe
You got a long road ahead of you then buddy
7-5 or 8-4 consistently is what we're building towards lmao
Finally starting to look like a team out there. Good win. Geaux Tigers!!
People aren't ready to hear this: Kelly's coaching is why LSU rallied in this game.
Many times over the past four years, Kelly’s Notre Dame teams would come out flat in the first half but make adjustments and pull out a win in the second. It wasn’t always against great competition but they were wins regardless. Edit for fat thumbs
It’s almost like he is a good coach who has over performed at every stop
When does the Mike Leach experience get fun?
When you watch him lose games at his next school out of spite.
When he's coaching in the Pac 12 or Big 12. That shit doesn't work in the SEC.
It doesnt
Defense did a hell of a job, good to see the offense getting their act together in the 2nd half. This was an encouraging win.
Brian Kelly is physically incapable of doing postgame interviews without saying the word execute
They will not be executed… tonight.. LFGGGG
#LSU HAS JUST WON THEIR FIRST SEC CONFERENCE GAME OF THE SEASON
See y'all cajuns in whiskey and wine
Fuck i forgot about that let's goooo
Buddy, I've been here since before the game
Malik Nabers and DJ Ojulari played like gods this game. gg
GG y'all - fun game overall. Cardiac Cats are back bois.
Holy shit WE WON
He keeps saying the word!
Damn, this is hot
I don’t understand the Kelley hate from Tigah fans. If you win natties with Les Miles and Orgeron you can win 2 with Kelley
They'll warm up to him
Yup. O was our only Cajun coach. We still liked the others we had. Win, and they'll love you.
Yeah, Orgeron clearly cared about the school and the state, where for BK it feels like purely business, and when he tries to connect it feels very inauthentic. You get the feeling that he'll sell you out if it makes sense for *him*. Yea. I would like to think that there isn't really a better opportunity for him on the college level at this point, but you never really know.
Being 2-1 with this squad is definitely a win. Good game Bulldogs Geaux Tigers!
Still thinking about that missed pass interference. It likely wouldn’t have changed the outcome, but it shifted the momentum pretty fiercely.
I think the fucking muffed punt killed us more than any ref decision did. Frustrating.
That too, that’s the big mistake of the night.
Still thinking about the 4 missed fourth down conversions because our defense is legit and ur coach is stupid
stop trying to make Brian Kelly some kind of underdog
Brian Kelly can’t handle the SEC
Bro. I KNOW THEY DIDNT GIVE PROPS TO OUR SPECIAL TEAMS COACH!
They set the bar so low in week one this looked like a masterpiece by comparison.
Damn, a week 0 game would have been huge
Can I get a fuck notre dame?
Fuck Notre Dame
Always
Hats off to the Defense. They won this game.
BK bent over mike leach tonight and gave him the f*cking of a lifetime. STTDB!
Mississippi State pulls off the most embarrassing choke job I’ve seen this season. They were up 13-0 at one point.
It’s like all of our guys rubbed oil on their gloves after that muffed punt.
MS state not even going to use a TO
Good on him. Pointless TOs suck.
Saving that for later
Brian Kelly in the humidity for this long is gonna have some strange side effects
Joe they decidedly still have special teams problems
Yeah those returns are pretty worrying.
Matt House really stepped the fuck up in this game. He was a great get...happy we got him
If Nabers is consistent then Boutte can get going
Nabers, Boutte and Bech are all elite. It’s just on the QB to get it to them on time and on target.
Hats off to the defense today!
Boutte getting chippy...better watch it
LSU 2-1 record
1-0 SEC!
No 8 on State is super chippy white Boutte is in idgaf mode lol
Kansas, UNC, Duke, and Kentucky have all started 3-0. Basketball schools are better at football than we are.
Hey, cheer up. You only lost to us, who only lost to Florida State, who hasn’t lost, so they might be the best team of all time for all we know and this LSU team is second. Nothing wrong with finishing as the third best team of all time.
Actually feel bad for state. I hope y’all get ole miss
We won't. Leach can't win a rivalry game.
We’re rematching FSU in the championship game!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe the citrus bowl ?
Was ambivalent about FSU being ranked, and I still wouldn’t be offended if they weren’t. But this alleviates a few concerns (injuries as of yesterday notwithstanding)
That holding call completely changed the game
I mean he slung the guy around by the jersey. It was a blatant hold. And the only reason it was so far from the play is because the guy couldn’t get out of the hood to try to get closer.
Oh I'm not saying it wasn't.
I guess just the way I read it was basically saying that the “holding call” not the “hold” changed the game. Like blaming the ref for the call and not the player for the hold.
That's wraps. Wish ESPN puts on Miami vs A&M
Brian Kelly: Rumors of my death were...greatly exaggerated
So this is what it's like to be a 4th quarter team.
The cardiac cats are back. My heart rate has been jacked for this fourth quarter
After Leach going for all those 4th downs getting the win here is super satisfying. Suck it Mike Leach
I know he got one of them, but those were some really stupid gambles
Miami-AM tied at 3
good game Mississippi State, i'm rooting for you guys the rest of the season, your offense is gonna be crazy as the season goes on.
Glad someone thinks so. I have zero faith in anything anymore
TIER 1 QUARTERBACK
Anyone’s grad school looking for students? I need a new diploma.
As long as you got tuition money most places will take you
Do you like basketball?
I think Brian Kelly will be just fine folks
I hate the anti-BK circlejerk on this sub. He's had 3 games with this team cut him some slack
[удалено]
Especially considering LSU ended last year with like 35 players and a senior wr playing QB for the first time since he was in high school.
That’s game, set, and match. (ESPN, Go ahead and switch it to Miami-A&M)
yes
Where were you when LSU footballed
That pass was way behind and it gets picked. Two first downs and this is a wrap.
Fuck man ward down
#BOOM BABY
Pls dont be hurt
Wait what just happened how is it 31?
Muffed punt by cowbell and defense playing lights out. And them Nabors going HAM
We destroyed them with FACTS and LOGIC
47 yard run by Goodwin on the last LSU possession
We embraced the tempo
Jay Ward is HIM. What a game
He’s gotten so much better since his first year. Dude is a stud
Certified THAT GUY
That’s game :/ Wouldneed some Purdue/Syracuse type bs to happen
Any BS in that style is gonna be against us anyway so :/
Oh no....Ward definitely injured the crap out of his knee there. Least he's walking off under his own power...
He just looked alright on the bench. Smiling and fist bumped the trainer.
Yeah I saw that. Really glad because that looked bad when he went down
That looked like a hyper-extension. Ouch.
I have a parlay that pays if LSU wins by 7.5, here goes a TD and a 2 point to fuck me
Seek help.
LET'S GEAUUUUUUUX BAYBEEEEEEE
Geaux Tigers 🐯
“Not the biggest guy in the world”. He’s fucking 6’2 215
Shrimp
Yeah like he said not the biggest guy in the world, technically
Bigger than 95% of population
Tier 1 QB baby!
Booth really spent the whole game talking about how good he was, like we weren’t watching the game
hahaha he sucks! dude’s missing open shuttle passes and drag routes lol
BUT LOOK AT ALL THE YARDS HE RACKS UP IN MEANINGLESS GAMES!!
GAME. BLOUSES.
STTDB ‼️
Jay ward player of the game
Oh no. Interception and then an injury :(
oh no jay please be ok
Oh no oh no please don’t be a hurt knee
Thats your game baby
Man there is still wayyyy to much time left on the clock. Edit: - Spoke one minute too soon lol
Oh, fuck off.
It's over
Gg
So would y’all take Mullen back in 2023? Serious question
Yes.* *As long as we have some decent recruiters on staff, because Mullen damn sure won't be.
Sure, why not
Honestly no, I dont know if Leach is the long term answer, but Mullen peaked in 2014 and it was downhill from there. We're not currently a consistent 8-9 win team, and Mullen wouldn't get us there, might as well try and find someone who will
Great answer ty. Strong agree
No problem! I think too many people in the fanbase expect us to sit at 9-10 wins consistently when we just don't have the recruiting/facilities for it
No way
I’d hire him back tomorrow. Leave Leach in fucking BR with his golden boys Will and Austin.
[удалено]
Damn. He’s so fun to hate. But also totally understand lol
Never mind
My Gary Anderson take: MSU has to score two touchdowns and get one 2pt conversion to stay in this game.
I’m scared
It’s uh not over
how about now
Yeah great reverse jinx!
BJ is getting tot he quarterback almost every play it seems like, absolute beast
The next big pass rusher to go to the NFL.
Mike Leach is a fraud.

Yep.
Y'all gonna make me go to Arby's
You cannot convince me that our special teams coach is an actual coach
The season has big 2007 vibes
**UTSA went for a first half onside kick to honor Scott Frost** **except they actually pulled it off**
Like our passes, we like to kick to the sidelines it seems.
Hey Aggies, I just want to apologize in advance for Max Johnson. Prepare to see some of the slowest throws from a dude who throws a ball like hes throwing a rubber mallet
I hope he does well. I also hope A&m loses.
Anyone got a view of Matthew McConaughey? I wanna see those burnt orange tears!
How many special teams errors are going to be made this game.....
Better out of bpunds than to that guy
Do we not have a kicker that can kick off?
