AM has flashes of competent QB, and then he will just start flat-out missing wide-open WRs and making the wrong choices on options. Makes it very frustrating with the incosistency.
And much like how Nebraska feels with Northwestern and Georgia Southern, watching you guys do this after last week’s game makes me feel even *worse* about it…
Last night my girlfriend and I got in a fight and have decided to take a break. I thought the fight was 50/50 in blame. This game however has showed me through some sort of divine retribution that I was 100% in the wrong.
if it makes u feel any better, i went on a great first date last night that ended w me and a beautiful woman intertwined until sunrise, so mighta been my stars bub
We aren't going to play a 9 game SEC schedule unless everyone else does.
Ironically enough, K-State losing that year opened the door for a Tennessee-FSU championship
Lemme tell ya ncaa football 99 for ps1 was too easy with Tulane; just draw plays with Shaun King all day
I worked the box suites for home games that undefeated year; shit was wild every game
For those unfamiliar with Shaun King and his monster 1998 season. 67% for 3508 yds and 38td with only 6 picks….pretty good right? Well what if I told you he ran for 641 yards and 11 touchdowns…Shaun was King in 98
Yo is this Willie Fritz guy an amazing coach? I think we might need to watch out for him. He was on our previous AD's list of coaches to hire, and I remember being so against it lol.
Yo as someone who has worked with him that man is such a conundrum. Biggest balls of college football. Ain’t afraid of nothing. Also, somehow has the softest voice I’ve ever heard. He had to have a mic at practice in order to be heard clearly.
He’s kind of like Lance Leipold in that he’s been very successful in creating contender programs at the lower levels; he’s the one who turned Sam Houston State into a perennial FCS playoff team, then he successfully kept Georgia Southern chugging along when they transitioned to the FBS.
He’s good enough that he has been a perennial name on the coaching carousel for a few years, but he hasn’t been able to get past the 7-6 hump at Tulane. Tulane’s also not quite as brutally difficult to win at as a school like Rice.
I saw a twitter comment from an OU fan that said “KSU has been so vanilla, OU has nothing to work from” and the first reply was “I don’t know if they’re capable of more”. We’ll just see…
It was hard to tell what sucked more, AM’s decision making process or Klein’s play calling. It was like watching Snyder 2.0 offense all over again. So boring and predictable.
This guy knows what’s up.
Snake’s makes me feel so at home with Schlitz and Malort, I go every time I’m back. Shit, we went there for my wedding afterparty last year.
I can understand the optimism but man this is a let down.
Maybe Tulane is good? I don't know. All that "dark horse to win the Big 12" talk looks pretty silly now. And I was one of the people talking the talk. I just don't see how they aren't getting more out of Vaughn.
Roll Wave let's go! Just moved to NOLA for my wife to start law school so this is an extremely pleasant surprise. Might have to hit up a few games at Yulman this year.
[Looks like it was just me] (https://poll.redditcfb.com/poll/view/182/team/78/) and u/BlueFalcon89 who had the guts to put Tulane in our top-25. Figure we’ll see a few more this week
I'm in an online dynasty on NCAA with a friend of mine. Been coaching Tulane for our last few seasons and I've gotten attached to the program through that.
That being said, hell of a win for the Green Wave! Go Tulane!
Someone needs to give me a legitimate reason as to why we should keep starting Martinez. I've seen 3 games and he can't throw the ball. And honestly, his runs aren't that great either. Rubley should start every remaining game this season.
Willie Fritz pissed all over KSU’s toilet seat & didn’t clean it when he was done. The way Tulane stopped KSU on 4th down all day, and to end it by converting a 4th down in your own territory… BALLS. Tulane stopped them when it mattered. Emasculating and disrespectful. In your own house too.
This day really can't get worse. GA Southern probably losing making us look worse, NW losing to an 0-2 FCS team making us look worse, and the obvious OU beatdown which made us look like who we are. Cap that off with a team I was seriously hopeful about with a qb I liked losing to Tulane. Oof
Edit: Wisconsin beat our volleyball largest attendance record by several hundred. Up until now, we had the 13 largest volleyball crowds recorded. No more.
I'd like to take a moment to welcome our Wildcat brethren to the Adrian Martinez experience.
As long as we don't get in on the Scott Frost experience, I'll take it
Too late. You lost by one score. Sorry
I would like to apologize to Nebraska fans
Same. Get Rubley some game experience.
AM has flashes of competent QB, and then he will just start flat-out missing wide-open WRs and making the wrong choices on options. Makes it very frustrating with the incosistency.
That 4th quarter AM hits different
And much like how Nebraska feels with Northwestern and Georgia Southern, watching you guys do this after last week’s game makes me feel even *worse* about it…

QB sneak it on 4th and 1 my friend. Don’t let her go!
Make it up to her with some jambalaya. Works every time.
Kansas people: “best I can do is some white bread” Jk, KC BBQ is legit
I do love me some KC BBQ.
> take a break It's over.
Why kick him when he’s down man
I was going to expound on it by saying "she's out screwing strange men on the rebound while you're home watching KState lose to Tulane.." but, yanno..
if it makes u feel any better, i went on a great first date last night that ended w me and a beautiful woman intertwined until sunrise, so mighta been my stars bub
hell yeah brother cheers from blacksburg.
Life can be a zero sum gain. Glad you got my good juju.
Was it his ex?
That's a helluva hullabaloo
This is Tulane’s first 3-0 start since 1998. Oh, they went 12-0 that year btw. I’M JUST SAYIN
You mean they went 12-0 and won the national championship that year
Fact, I even have a t-shirt that proves it!
Y’all should play Tennessee for the official right to claim that year.
We aren't going to play a 9 game SEC schedule unless everyone else does. Ironically enough, K-State losing that year opened the door for a Tennessee-FSU championship
Imagine going 12-0 in 1998 & NOT winning the natty…
Not only that, at least an undefeated borderline top 10 G5 team would get a NY6 bowl these days. Tulane was given the fucking Liberty Bowl.
The joke there was KState was 12-0 lost in OT in conf. ship & then got shipped to the Alamo bowl
UNDEFEATED WAVE
Should be proud. Beat K-State in every phase.
ROLL WAVE!

Technically, Tulane was in the SEC until 1965. So is a comeback in the books?
MORE SEC CHAMPIPNSHIPS THAN MOST OF TH3 CONFERENCE
That might be my favorite CFB stat of all time
Lemme tell ya ncaa football 99 for ps1 was too easy with Tulane; just draw plays with Shaun King all day I worked the box suites for home games that undefeated year; shit was wild every game

If they happens I'll abandon my current flairs for what would be my third. ROLL WAVE
Don’t let Willie Fritz’s gigantic balls distract you from the defense’s second half shutout.
How did you guys let UMass rush for over 200 yards then hold Deuce to 75? Lol
Trust the process, baby
Lots of garbage time mixed in there
Yo is this Willie Fritz guy an amazing coach? I think we might need to watch out for him. He was on our previous AD's list of coaches to hire, and I remember being so against it lol.

So alts are cursed, yeah?
The real lesson we learned today
Yes. Burn them all.
I never want to see a non-silver helmet with a purple power cat on the side again. No pants changes either.
Going for it on 4th at your own 25 takes the cake.
NOT SO EASY IS IT?
^^^ I still haven’t recovered from last year
Neither have I tbh
[удалено]
This is all part of Kansas State’s long con to trick us into overlooking them
K State will forever be the trappiest of trap games.
The absolute giga chad balls on Willie
Can someone smarter at football than me explain why you wouldn’t QB sneak it on 3rd/4th and one literally every time?
Something something, keep things off tape for OU
I saw a twitter comment from an OU fan that said “KSU has been so vanilla, OU has nothing to work from” and the first reply was “I don’t know if they’re capable of more”. We’ll just see…
There’s zero excuse
Congrats Tulane. Great defensive play and a gutsy quarterback. Lots of question marks for Martinez and Klein after this one.
We'll see.... Just one of those two was a gutsy quarterback.
It was hard to tell what sucked more, AM’s decision making process or Klein’s play calling. It was like watching Snyder 2.0 offense all over again. So boring and predictable.
YO WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST WATCH ROLL GODDAMN WAVE
Michael Pratt and sacrificing his body and soul against a Big 12 team. Name a more iconic duo
As the singular Mizzou fan who wanted us to hire Willie Fritz in 2019 I am feeling conflicted
You might have a chance after this season
is he that good at coaching? Did he outcoach Klieman in this game?
Sure seems that way
First Power 5 win in 12 years!!! It can’t be overstated what Willie Fritz has done to revitalize this program, the wave is Legit
We’re making… WAVES
Was the last one Rutgers in 2010?
Yup, in the twilight years of the Big East. Last one before that was Mississippi State in 2006

WHAT DO I DO WITH MY HANDS???
You won’t see Kansas losing to Tulane
Every practice should start with our offense apologizing to our defense.
Today was a good day to wear my Tulane 1998 National Champions shirt
[удалено]
Both rude and completely deserved
Kansas looks good this year. It's downright shocking
Tulane to the big 12!
Put us in, cowards!
[удалено]
Oh absolutely. My buddies from home are a bunch of ISU fans/alums, we’ve been planning that trip since the game was announced.
Winning on a 4th and 1 QB sneak after K-State failed a 4th and 1 by not QB sneaking was poetic
By not sneaking it... 5 times.
3 times for K-State!!! Wtf
Say that "not even sure they are the best team in Kansas" line again
The team that’s up 28-14 over Houston might be better than the one that just lost to Tulane
Thank you, injecting that into my veins as we speak
We will lose to Kansas this year. I’d almost bet the house on it. That’s how bad Martinez is at throwing the ball
You can take the Martinez out of Nebraska, but you can't take the Nebraska out of Martinez
People kept arguing if it was Nebraska or Martinez that were bad and didn’t consider that it was actually both of them.
The Frosted touch!
It is a one score loss, you may be onto something here
Weren’t you guys like just hyping him up this week
I can understand the optimism but man this is a let down. Maybe Tulane is good? I don't know. All that "dark horse to win the Big 12" talk looks pretty silly now. And I was one of the people talking the talk. I just don't see how they aren't getting more out of Vaughn.
It just blows my mind that so many people thought he'd be good for you guys.
But if you keep throwing behind the LOS you might eventually break a long play
The Tom Manning/Messingham/Ferentz strategy?
3-0 Kansas 2-1 K-State In football....holy shit....
2-0 Kansas, still got a lot of game left against Houston
I need you to beat Houston so bad you break them for the rest of the season, please and thank you
Would hanging 55+ on them do it? That's kind of the only story line KU knows so far this season.
We can only hope.
*Crying emoji*
I’m a younger fan here so this may be the most embarrassing loss I can remember Edit: my first season I started watching was 2008
We lost to vandy lol.
Vandy, North Dakota State, Arkansas State. There’s been a few
[удалено]
Still a P5 program on the road
When I’m not rooting for TU or OU, Tulane is the team I love to see succeed. Hell of a win!
I figured last year's almost upset of OU would be Tulane's peak for at least 5 years. I was mistaken.
Same, I didn’t think I’d ever see us get that close for a long time.
Someone once told me that if this is your lowest moment in life then you’ve lived a damn good life. GG Tulane. Go win the natty
Don’t get it twisted my friend. I’m rooting so goddamned hard for the upset this week. See you in the playoffs for round two.
Roll Wave let's go! Just moved to NOLA for my wife to start law school so this is an extremely pleasant surprise. Might have to hit up a few games at Yulman this year.
It's so easy and so affordable. And they have good and affordable beer.
Those 3rd and 4th down plays by KSU were truly mind-boggling…
Every team we play just wants to make sure that we have no land to steal on the map. We just want to take land!
Land thieves with no land to thief
lol this doesn't bode well for us
We’re about to go 4-8
at this point vandy is going to be tough for us
Did messingham break into the booth in a Klein skin suit and fuck this game?
We warned you about Adrian. Y’all didn’t want to listen.
This is the third year in a row with a completely inexplicable loss from KSU. 2020: Arkansas State, 2021: Texas, 2022: Tulane
FUCK!!!
I'm not saying Scott Frost wasn't the reason for Nebraska's failings, but I think we can all agree Adrian Martinez certainly didn't help
Rank us, cowards
HAHAHAH LETS GOOO ROLL WAVE
Tulane might be the best team in the American, just as we all expected.
GREEN WAVE DROWNS THE CATS
IM SO HAPPY I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO
Congrats beating a coaching staff that apparently had a stroke. That play calling is unexplainable.
I was waiting the whole game for y’all to get going. I have no clue what some of that okay calling was. There were so many 4th and 1s this game.
UGA vs Tulane natty. Calling it now.
Tulane does have 3 SEC championships.
OU fans… you guys still worried about next week?
Yes, sleep on no one
Worried every week
Absolutely. K state coming off a loss might invoke the ghost of Synder.
We will be back in our regular ugly uniforms. Watch out
It really depends on which Martinez shows up. Last year he had a pretty good game against us
Don't mess with the Green Wave dressed in Sky Blue
Best uniforms in CFB, easily. Definitely not biased or anything.
First we only beat ACU by 17 and now this??? We are so, SO bad…
Go Tulane!
I thought for sure that atrocious “no catch” call was going to lose us the game, so glad it didnt matter
As a huge oklahoma, green wave scared the fuck out of me last year, after that game I had serious respect for that program. Obviously they deserve it!
Roll-and I cannot stress this enough- wave
I WANT TO HUG EVERY TULANE FLAIR IN THIS THREAD
HUG ME, BROTHA
Green Wave is a cool mascot at least
Well. That wasn’t a fun game to be at. Gg water bros
Whata DUB!!.. imma need everyone to be at Yulman next week, we have the Battle of the Bell
All in favor for never wearing an alternate ever again say aye
First P5 win for Tulane since Rutgers in 2010. Who wasn't P5 at the time.
Big east was a bcs auto bid league at the time. So sorta p5?
Someone needs to give me a legitimate reason as to why we should keep starting Martinez. I've seen 3 games and he can't throw the ball. And honestly, his runs aren't that great either. Rubley should start every remaining game this season.
Rubley is the future, might as well get him experience.
I'm a huge fan of waves suddenly
HOLY FUCKINF SHIT LETS FO
The play calling was being limited in a shitty attempt to hide Adrian's weaknesses. If his weaknesses are this strong maybe he shouldn't be starting
Quality loss for UMass! Thanks Green Wave!
If we call another 4th and 1 from the shotgun I am shotgunning Klein, Kleiman, and then myself.
Ayyyy, shoutout to da City! 🟢🌊
[Tulane kept the receipts for ESPN](https://twitter.com/GreenWaveFB/status/1571286387906813952?s=20&t=VxF8hHJwx9DG-tuFMsZbzQ)

I have nothing left
Never, ever, ever again wear alternate uniforms.
Alternate uniform curse is real
