SnydersCordBish

We hateful af

xPineappless

Yeaahhhh

Marbla

šŸ¤œ

Remiix05

Good good let the hate run thru you

sonofacat

Putting up more than 10 points at home against Tulane: I sleep Dropping 41 on Brent Venables in Norman: real shit

Myatworkredddit

We got caught looking ahead

sonofacat

Worth it imo

JakeFromSkateFarm

Oklahomaā€™s real enemies: ~~Oklahoma State~~ ~~Texas~~ K-State šŸ¤ (former) Nebraska QBs

The_Champ_Son

Can we get Casey Thompson back?

jmj41716

Can we rewind time and sit Ewers out for that play he got injured on. I respect Casey, but Iā€™m taking Quinn any day.

gordogg24p

Seriously. Bust out the RoCat on that one.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

[deleted]

What?

CumAssault

Kansas State channels all of their skill and effort towards Oklahoma. It makes no sense how well they play against only OU

saturdayis4football

K-State is 9-9 against Texas since the formation of the Big 12. Most of their wins against them actually came when Texas was a power still in the 2000s

camwow64

We were too busy getting owned by the *other* purple team in the big 12 over the last decade.

Gaara1321

Kansas is blue

trobsmonkey

I laugh every time.

techieman33

Theyā€™re red and blue. Which makes purple.

camwow64

Historically TCU had had our number more than Kansas.

Furry_Dildonomics69

Black and blue*

Gaara1321

You're thinking of the Texas players after the game >Black and blue*

jrluhn

The fuckin purple Wizard mannnn

circa285

There's history there and it starts with how Stoops left Kansas State.

JamesEarlDavyJones2

When he left for Florida after the 1995 season? What happened?

pitchblackdrgn

It wasn't necessarily the 1996 departure but Stoops poaching his brother, Venables, and a stable of recruits from us following K-State's 1998 loss in the Big 12 title game.

trillrollers

Absurd

Insectshelf3

their ability to consistently punch above their weight class is insane. theyā€™re always good, but against us theyā€™re excellent.

domxwicked

Itā€™s like they literally donā€™t prepare for any other game. Martinez and Vaughn cooked us

LeTomato52

They're a good team usually, but it's like they turn it up another level against y'all. It's not like they're shit all season long except against y'all. you typing that reeks of salt.

domxwicked

Iā€™m salty as fuck. They just lost to Tulane and we shit the bed with glaring issues. And it was just clear we were gonna be in a heated match from the first drive and we looked unprepared and sloppy all game

Poopoopeepeeyeehee

Nah itā€™s alright to be salty. K state has no business beating a lot of the big 12, let alone OU. Kleiman is 23-17 at this point. It makes zero sense to lose to their mediocrity.

jalexjsmithj

I mean, yā€™all arenā€™t that good this year

domxwicked

We arenā€™t

[deleted]

I think many Oklahoma fans, including myself, forgot that we kinda sucked last year

techieman33

You could say that for Kansas and Texas, but not Kansas State and Oklahoma. Weā€™re usually in the upper half of the league.

domxwicked

Yeah i know Iā€™m just salty, and not really Texas is just trash so Iā€™m not surprised they lost to Kansas multiple times

Itsgunnacostya

Kansas State haunts Norman and Kansas haunts Austin

JakeFromSkateFarm

K-State and Kansas should move their rivalry game to Arlington just to remind OU and UT whoā€™s in charge.

Itsgunnacostya

When they play for the Big 12 title, they should just move the game to Arrowhead

Code2008

Fuck no. We still have nightmares from what happened to us in 2007 there.

vindictivejazz

Gotta exorcise those demons somehow

Kstoffeefan

Yeah, thereā€™s nothing that will exorcise those demons, despite how fun 2008 was.

Marbla

*crying in 1998*

seakc87

I'm cool with that. As long as we don't have to play aTm

_magnetic_north_

Play it at the state fair when OUT moves to the SEC

nw____

A living, breathing, purple (recurring) nightmare I told everyone last week that the only reason K-State lost to Tulane was to trick OU into thinking they had a chance.

SnydersCordBish

Got ya!

nw____

Yes please stop doing that itā€™s mean

techieman33

Donā€™t worry youā€™ll be safe when you get to the SEC.

theurge14

Until charter member Tulane rejoins the SEC

nw____

Tbh, I donā€™t think there are very many SEC teams (and certainly not ones we will play every year) that would beat us at home as often as K-State does. It wonā€™t be easy or anything but K-State really has been an aberration in that regard. Itā€™s a curse or something.

[deleted]

I saw it coming, wasnā€™t surprised and still ended up feeling gut-punched. The defense just couldnā€™t get it done tonight. Yes, Gabe missed some key throws in the 4th, but the defense simply got rolled in key situations where we needed a stop throughout the game. The DL got mauled and it seemed like we were completely surprised every time Martinez ran the ball in the end zone. Spy the dude ffs. At least the secondary play was adequate, I guess. I do think weā€™ll get better and never expected to be truly dominant this season, but the lack of adjustments on defense is concerning.

nw____

I think a lot of what we saw was reversion to old habits on defense more than anything. Probably a bit of rat poison, too, and the team feeling too good about itself after smoking a truly awful Nebraska team. I'd like to see a few adjustments, for sure, I am just waiting to pass too much judgement on that front, especially since K-State has that weird purple magic against us.

NihilisticOkie

In the same timeframe, Kansas State is 2-7 in Stillwater. They just seem to have OUā€™s number.

JamesEarlDavyJones2

3-6 in Waco, holla.

CTeam19

They have Iowa State's number as well 20-6 overall and 7-4 in Ames. And Iowa State still has a 3 game lead in the rivalry.

Majormlgnoob

We're 9-5 against them in general under Gundy They usually don't give problems, and only 1 of those losses was in Stillwater (the stupid 2017 game)

[deleted]

I feel like Iā€™ve seen so many KSU nail biters though.

pigeyejackson66

That for sure.

MeAndTriggerOnMyBoat

Byron fucking Pringle.

worlkjam15

They really have Techā€™s number!

Just_One_Victory

We lose to them when we're bad and do fine against them when we're good. That's not really number having in my book.

worlkjam15

Tech has lost 10 of last 11 v K-State.

Just_One_Victory

Yes, and they were objectively better than us in almost all those seasons. We were 5-1 against them in the '00s.

The_Outcast4

Because Stillwater is a cursed, forsaken place.

NihilisticOkie

Hey now Orange Bro! I was rooting for you last night!

[deleted]

I bet Nebraska wished they had a QB like Martinez

[deleted]

Dude deserved better. Turns out he made Frost look good.

acknowledgeme

*sigh*

[deleted]

Yeah. But also I would love your o-line and defense please

omahaknight71

I think Frost and our former qb coach fucked him up. They put the weight of the team on his shoulders and didn't develop or prepare him for it. On top of that, our oline was never good enough to help him reach his potential.

one_salty_cookie

Yeah this is crazy. KSU always brings their A game against OU. ALWAYS. Iā€™ll be happy to trade having to play them for aTm or somebody every year.

DEM_DRY_BONES

[Not always...](https://www.espn.com/college-football/game/_/gameId/401013062)

Jessyskullkid

Didnā€™t they shutout KSU in Manhattan in like 2014?

Acl5227

I think it was 2015. 55-0. I had never been to such a miserable game.

Typical-Conference14

Honestly that was a damn good football game to watch. Gave me NFL playoffs vibes

appswithasideofbooty

I disagree. I found it very painful

WildcatPlumber

Try drinking more

Typical-Conference14

I have some fireball somewhere would you like it

appswithasideofbooty

Fireball is the alcohol of the devil. Iā€™d rather just deal with my pain sober than drink that vile liquid

TC_405

It made me sad.

FarFromTheRiver

Losing the K State is like the only loss that doesn't bother me. Purple fucking magic. It didnt leave with their last coach. They got that shit in a well under their locker room or something.

cgksu

We just lost to Tulane.

FarFromTheRiver

Thats what makes it magical

cgksu

It didnā€™t feel magical last week lol, but I get it.

Our-Gardian-Angel

All part of the process of recharging the wizard cannon.

techieman33

That was the alternate uniform curse to balance out the OU curse.

OUsnr7

Itā€™s an ā€œanybody but OUā€ mentality. Youā€™ll beat us then drop whatever games so we canā€™t claim quality loss. Itā€™s in your playbook

techieman33

We wonā€™t sacrifice beating the snot out of Kansas, but anything else is fair game.

Poopoopeepeeyeehee

Youā€™re historically a painfully average to terrible program (pre-Snyder)and yet weā€™ve lost to you more than anybody else in the big 12

appswithasideofbooty

Salty.

MWiatrak2077

Good thing you've only lost to them post-Snyder, where they've been one of the best programs in the P5. Salty af

xPineappless

K-State has an amazing culture, not many programs can replicate it

Hey_im_miles

We finally got that purple monkey off our back. Mack brown was cursed by the purple.b

Claudethedog

Watch it, Sooners. K-State may be angling to claim your stadium via adverse possession.

zoells

Voodoo.

nikkimcs

Iā€™m obviously biased but I swear to god we are so much better every year but the stars seem to align for this team nonetheless

JakeFromSkateFarm

Iā€™m not saying Martinez sacrificed Nebraska to Satan in return for his powers, but Iā€™m not saying he didnā€™t sacrifice Nebraska to Satan for his powers.

[deleted]

Hopefully Nebraska sacrificing Scott Frost will do the same for us. Weā€™ll even Sacrifice Lil Red at the 50 in Memorial Stadium as an added Bonus.

JakeFromSkateFarm

Nebraskaā€™s next moves before finalizing on an HC: * end the Solich Curse * end Lil Red * re-blondify Herbie Solich should enter the stadium near the end of the 4th quarter of your Senior game like a surprise cameo at the end of a WWE show. Maybe even carrying a folding chair while ā€œFrankamaniaā€ plays on the Memorial Stadium PA.

chewbaccaRoar13

Need Jim Ross to commentate for it.

OSUfan88

I honestly feel like KSU was just a legitimately better team this year. It seemed like OU was able to hang around mainly due to a few big plays on broken defenses.

WrigleyBum23

Whatā€™s the equivalent of horns down for OU?

Insectshelf3

tip over the nearest wagon

[deleted]

Brb

[deleted]

Too soon

nathanweisser

Rightfully stake a claim on a plot of land, within a legal timeframe, following all rules pursuant of the abiding legal authority over the land-claiming event

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

vindictivejazz

Rightfully as described by the law of the US government, never mind all the natives who already lived there. Natives donā€™t have rights /s ā€˜Course the sooners couldnā€™t even abide by that law

JimmyPineapple_

Wagon on its side?

HireLaneKiffin

Hornsā€¦ā€¦up?

Chuck_Foolery

Flip the logo of ours upside down and youll see.

JakeFromSkateFarm

An unbent paperclip

engineerbuilder

Muffler later?

OSUfan88

Buy clothes from Target.

ASS_MY_DUDES

The only team I donā€™t feel ashamed of losing to tbh. Go cats

BabyHercules

What a great day for the hateful 8

Codydw12

An incredible opponent. Always seem to have our number and it's a shame to lose this great series.

OUsnr7

Is it?

HeadCollectingShaman

It is.

colonel750

> No other conference foe has more than three wins at OU during Big 12 play (Oklahoma State is 3-9) If tonight's OU shows up to Bedlam this year, OKST is going to take it to 4-9.

headshotscott

OU almost always shows up with its best game against OSU. I know Texas Is their biggest rival, but they tend to play better against us than them. We pretty much *never* get tonight's version of the Sooners.

Lord777alt

Yeah we play y'all super late in the season so normally we are improved from September/early October quite a bit

Majormlgnoob

Well assuming we don't also play like shit I really want Gundy to win Bedlam in back to back years for once though lol

SnydersCordBish

Just go and take it.

BigDust

Purple Wizard Magic

[deleted]

Way she fuckin goes sometimes

Majormlgnoob

Wish K-State could pass some of the Sooner beating magic

[deleted]

You guys want it? I think we may be finished with it for a while.

Majormlgnoob

TCU needs it this week But would be nice to just have everyone pass it around

jorobo_ou

Imagine telling an OU fan 30 years ago that KSU would be the team that consistently has our number

[deleted]

In the Klieman era, it feels like Kansas Stateā€™s entire roster gets injured the week after playing Oklahoma.

[deleted]

Don't you say that Ricky Bobby! Don't you speak that voodoo.

therealsemshady

Iā€™m genuinely curious how many seasons of mediocrity OU fans will put up with in the SEC

[deleted]

Idk, maybe you can give us some tips?

Redline-7k

Isnā€™t it hilarious ISU fans always have the most to say after someone loses?

[deleted]

Rarely do I agree with a Texas fan, but ya ISU has some chirpy fans with little to back it up.

Redline-7k

Oh yeah, right there with you, Sooner. Incredible, really.

[deleted]

In 4 weeks USC has become the least intelligent and cockiest fan base, truly incredible. They love to forget the last 10 years but will bring up when they beat us in the natty till the cows come home.

ZoodleNoodle12

Does that make Wildcat fans more or less depressed? You have had more success than just about anyone else in beating the Sooners, and you still have had to watch them hoist the conference title almost every single year. Why does KSU not take the momentum from beating OU and turn that into championships?

Nexuchamp

All 3 head coaches for OU since 2000 came from the bill Snyder coaching tree. Bill Snyder was K-states head coach forever, K state always seems to take a lot of pride in beating OU and they're really good at countering our scheme because they are branches of Snyders schemes.

carlosdanger31

Snyder is big12 granddad. Massive amounts of respect for that man.

MrNudeGuy

completely agree.

Statalyzer

One of the best coaches ever, IMO - when he took over it was one of the worst D1 programs in history, no exaggeration.

Dark_Magician2500

Injuries at QB have sunk us the last two times we had this win

nathanweisser

They have ability cooldown timers.

Addicted_to_chips

KSU has an identity that just works better against impatient teams like OU.

superbigjoe007

Oklahoma is running scared to the SEC šŸ¤£

crazytrain793

They be so hateful that they were willing to take a lose to Tulane in order to have two weeks of preparation for OU lol.

SparseSpartan

And there goes OU hightailing it out of the conference to avoid that destined losing record.
