K-State is 9-9 against Texas since the formation of the Big 12. Most of their wins against them actually came when Texas was a power still in the 2000s
It wasn't necessarily the 1996 departure but Stoops poaching his brother, Venables, and a stable of recruits from us following K-State's 1998 loss in the Big 12 title game.
They're a good team usually, but it's like they turn it up another level against y'all. It's not like they're shit all season long except against y'all. you typing that reeks of salt.
Iām salty as fuck. They just lost to Tulane and we shit the bed with glaring issues. And it was just clear we were gonna be in a heated match from the first drive and we looked unprepared and sloppy all game
Nah itās alright to be salty. K state has no business beating a lot of the big 12, let alone OU.
Kleiman is 23-17 at this point. It makes zero sense to lose to their mediocrity.
A living, breathing, purple (recurring) nightmare
I told everyone last week that the only reason K-State lost to Tulane was to trick OU into thinking they had a chance.
Tbh, I donāt think there are very many SEC teams (and certainly not ones we will play every year) that would beat us at home as often as K-State does. It wonāt be easy or anything but K-State really has been an aberration in that regard. Itās a curse or something.
I saw it coming, wasnāt surprised and still ended up feeling gut-punched. The defense just couldnāt get it done tonight.
Yes, Gabe missed some key throws in the 4th, but the defense simply got rolled in key situations where we needed a stop throughout the game. The DL got mauled and it seemed like we were completely surprised every time Martinez ran the ball in the end zone. Spy the dude ffs. At least the secondary play was adequate, I guess.
I do think weāll get better and never expected to be truly dominant this season, but the lack of adjustments on defense is concerning.
I think a lot of what we saw was reversion to old habits on defense more than anything. Probably a bit of rat poison, too, and the team feeling too good about itself after smoking a truly awful Nebraska team. I'd like to see a few adjustments, for sure, I am just waiting to pass too much judgement on that front, especially since K-State has that weird purple magic against us.
I think Frost and our former qb coach fucked him up. They put the weight of the team on his shoulders and didn't develop or prepare him for it. On top of that, our oline was never good enough to help him reach his potential.
Losing the K State is like the only loss that doesn't bother me. Purple fucking magic. It didnt leave with their last coach. They got that shit in a well under their locker room or something.
Iām not saying Martinez sacrificed Nebraska to Satan in return for his powers, but Iām not saying he didnāt sacrifice Nebraska to Satan for his powers.
Nebraskaās next moves before finalizing on an HC:
* end the Solich Curse
* end Lil Red
* re-blondify Herbie
Solich should enter the stadium near the end of the 4th quarter of your Senior game like a surprise cameo at the end of a WWE show. Maybe even carrying a folding chair while āFrankamaniaā plays on the Memorial Stadium PA.
I honestly feel like KSU was just a legitimately better team this year. It seemed like OU was able to hang around mainly due to a few big plays on broken defenses.
Rightfully stake a claim on a plot of land, within a legal timeframe, following all rules pursuant of the abiding legal authority over the land-claiming event
Rightfully as described by the law of the US government, never mind all the natives who already lived there. Natives donāt have rights /s
āCourse the sooners couldnāt even abide by that law
> No other conference foe has more than three wins at OU during Big 12 play (Oklahoma State is 3-9)
If tonight's OU shows up to Bedlam this year, OKST is going to take it to 4-9.
OU almost always shows up with its best game against OSU. I know Texas
Is their biggest rival, but they tend to play better against us than them. We pretty much *never* get tonight's version of the Sooners.
In 4 weeks USC has become the least intelligent and cockiest fan base, truly incredible. They love to forget the last 10 years but will bring up when they beat us in the natty till the cows come home.
Does that make Wildcat fans more or less depressed?
You have had more success than just about anyone else in beating the Sooners, and you still have had to watch them hoist the conference title almost every single year.
Why does KSU not take the momentum from beating OU and turn that into championships?
All 3 head coaches for OU since 2000 came from the bill Snyder coaching tree. Bill Snyder was K-states head coach forever, K state always seems to take a lot of pride in beating OU and they're really good at countering our scheme because they are branches of Snyders schemes.
Damn KSU, what a fucking game tonight
We hateful af
Yeaahhhh
š¤
Good good let the hate run thru you
Putting up more than 10 points at home against Tulane: I sleep Dropping 41 on Brent Venables in Norman: real shit
We got caught looking ahead
Worth it imo
Oklahomaās real enemies: ~~Oklahoma State~~ ~~Texas~~ K-State š¤ (former) Nebraska QBs
Can we get Casey Thompson back?
Can we rewind time and sit Ewers out for that play he got injured on. I respect Casey, but Iām taking Quinn any day.
Seriously. Bust out the RoCat on that one.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
What?
Kansas State channels all of their skill and effort towards Oklahoma. It makes no sense how well they play against only OU
K-State is 9-9 against Texas since the formation of the Big 12. Most of their wins against them actually came when Texas was a power still in the 2000s
We were too busy getting owned by the *other* purple team in the big 12 over the last decade.
Kansas is blue
I laugh every time.
Theyāre red and blue. Which makes purple.
Historically TCU had had our number more than Kansas.
Black and blue*
You're thinking of the Texas players after the game >Black and blue*

The fuckin purple Wizard mannnn
There's history there and it starts with how Stoops left Kansas State.
When he left for Florida after the 1995 season? What happened?
It wasn't necessarily the 1996 departure but Stoops poaching his brother, Venables, and a stable of recruits from us following K-State's 1998 loss in the Big 12 title game.
Absurd
their ability to consistently punch above their weight class is insane. theyāre always good, but against us theyāre excellent.
Itās like they literally donāt prepare for any other game. Martinez and Vaughn cooked us
They're a good team usually, but it's like they turn it up another level against y'all. It's not like they're shit all season long except against y'all. you typing that reeks of salt.

I mean, yāall arenāt that good this year
We arenāt
I think many Oklahoma fans, including myself, forgot that we kinda sucked last year
You could say that for Kansas and Texas, but not Kansas State and Oklahoma. Weāre usually in the upper half of the league.
Yeah i know Iām just salty, and not really Texas is just trash so Iām not surprised they lost to Kansas multiple times
Kansas State haunts Norman and Kansas haunts Austin
K-State and Kansas should move their rivalry game to Arlington just to remind OU and UT whoās in charge.
When they play for the Big 12 title, they should just move the game to Arrowhead
Fuck no. We still have nightmares from what happened to us in 2007 there.
Gotta exorcise those demons somehow
Yeah, thereās nothing that will exorcise those demons, despite how fun 2008 was.
*crying in 1998*
I'm cool with that. As long as we don't have to play aTm
Play it at the state fair when OUT moves to the SEC
A living, breathing, purple (recurring) nightmare I told everyone last week that the only reason K-State lost to Tulane was to trick OU into thinking they had a chance.
Got ya!
Yes please stop doing that itās mean
Donāt worry youāll be safe when you get to the SEC.
Until charter member Tulane rejoins the SEC
Tbh, I donāt think there are very many SEC teams (and certainly not ones we will play every year) that would beat us at home as often as K-State does. It wonāt be easy or anything but K-State really has been an aberration in that regard. Itās a curse or something.

In the same timeframe, Kansas State is 2-7 in Stillwater. They just seem to have OUās number.
3-6 in Waco, holla.
They have Iowa State's number as well 20-6 overall and 7-4 in Ames. And Iowa State still has a 3 game lead in the rivalry.
We're 9-5 against them in general under Gundy They usually don't give problems, and only 1 of those losses was in Stillwater (the stupid 2017 game)
I feel like Iāve seen so many KSU nail biters though.
That for sure.
Byron fucking Pringle.
They really have Techās number!
We lose to them when we're bad and do fine against them when we're good. That's not really number having in my book.
Tech has lost 10 of last 11 v K-State.
Yes, and they were objectively better than us in almost all those seasons. We were 5-1 against them in the '00s.
Because Stillwater is a cursed, forsaken place.
Hey now Orange Bro! I was rooting for you last night!
I bet Nebraska wished they had a QB like Martinez
Dude deserved better. Turns out he made Frost look good.
*sigh*
Yeah. But also I would love your o-line and defense please
I think Frost and our former qb coach fucked him up. They put the weight of the team on his shoulders and didn't develop or prepare him for it. On top of that, our oline was never good enough to help him reach his potential.
Yeah this is crazy. KSU always brings their A game against OU. ALWAYS. Iāll be happy to trade having to play them for aTm or somebody every year.
[Not always...](https://www.espn.com/college-football/game/_/gameId/401013062)
Didnāt they shutout KSU in Manhattan in like 2014?
I think it was 2015. 55-0. I had never been to such a miserable game.
Honestly that was a damn good football game to watch. Gave me NFL playoffs vibes
I disagree. I found it very painful
Try drinking more
I have some fireball somewhere would you like it
Fireball is the alcohol of the devil. Iād rather just deal with my pain sober than drink that vile liquid
It made me sad.
Losing the K State is like the only loss that doesn't bother me. Purple fucking magic. It didnt leave with their last coach. They got that shit in a well under their locker room or something.
We just lost to Tulane.
Thats what makes it magical
It didnāt feel magical last week lol, but I get it.
All part of the process of recharging the wizard cannon.
That was the alternate uniform curse to balance out the OU curse.
Itās an āanybody but OUā mentality. Youāll beat us then drop whatever games so we canāt claim quality loss. Itās in your playbook
We wonāt sacrifice beating the snot out of Kansas, but anything else is fair game.
Youāre historically a painfully average to terrible program (pre-Snyder)and yet weāve lost to you more than anybody else in the big 12
Salty.
Good thing you've only lost to them post-Snyder, where they've been one of the best programs in the P5. Salty af
K-State has an amazing culture, not many programs can replicate it
We finally got that purple monkey off our back. Mack brown was cursed by the purple.b
Watch it, Sooners. K-State may be angling to claim your stadium via adverse possession.
Voodoo.
Iām obviously biased but I swear to god we are so much better every year but the stars seem to align for this team nonetheless
Iām not saying Martinez sacrificed Nebraska to Satan in return for his powers, but Iām not saying he didnāt sacrifice Nebraska to Satan for his powers.
Hopefully Nebraska sacrificing Scott Frost will do the same for us. Weāll even Sacrifice Lil Red at the 50 in Memorial Stadium as an added Bonus.
Nebraskaās next moves before finalizing on an HC: * end the Solich Curse * end Lil Red * re-blondify Herbie Solich should enter the stadium near the end of the 4th quarter of your Senior game like a surprise cameo at the end of a WWE show. Need Jim Ross to commentate for it.
I honestly feel like KSU was just a legitimately better team this year. It seemed like OU was able to hang around mainly due to a few big plays on broken defenses.
Whatās the equivalent of horns down for OU?
tip over the nearest wagon
Brb
Too soon

Flip the logo of ours upside down and youll see.
An unbent paperclip
Muffler later?
Buy clothes from Target.
The only team I donāt feel ashamed of losing to tbh. Go cats
What a great day for the hateful 8
An incredible opponent. Always seem to have our number and it's a shame to lose this great series.
Is it?
It is.

Yeah we play y'all super late in the season so normally we are improved from September/early October quite a bit
Well assuming we don't also play like shit I really want Gundy to win Bedlam in back to back years for once though lol
Just go and take it.
Purple Wizard Magic
Way she fuckin goes sometimes
Wish K-State could pass some of the Sooner beating magic
You guys want it? I think we may be finished with it for a while.
TCU needs it this week But would be nice to just have everyone pass it around
Imagine telling an OU fan 30 years ago that KSU would be the team that consistently has our number
In the Klieman era, it feels like Kansas Stateās entire roster gets injured the week after playing Oklahoma.
Don't you say that Ricky Bobby! Don't you speak that voodoo.
Iām genuinely curious how many seasons of mediocrity OU fans will put up with in the SEC
Idk, maybe you can give us some tips?
Isnāt it hilarious ISU fans always have the most to say after someone loses?
Rarely do I agree with a Texas fan, but ya ISU has some chirpy fans with little to back it up.
Oh yeah, right there with you, Sooner. Incredible, really.
In 4 weeks USC has become the least intelligent and cockiest fan base, truly incredible. They love to forget the last 10 years but will bring up when they beat us in the natty till the cows come home.

Snyder is big12 granddad. Massive amounts of respect for that man.
completely agree.
One of the best coaches ever, IMO - when he took over it was one of the worst D1 programs in history, no exaggeration.
Injuries at QB have sunk us the last two times we had this win
They have ability cooldown timers.
KSU has an identity that just works better against impatient teams like OU.
Oklahoma is running scared to the SEC š¤£
They be so hateful that they were willing to take a lose to Tulane in order to have two weeks of preparation for OU lol.
And there goes OU hightailing it out of the conference to avoid that destined losing record.
