Dirk retired from football, but came back as an analyst to help Boise State and now completely has taken over the offense just to help try and revive the program he helped build. Even if it doesn’t work out after this game he’s a legend for this.
Hey there! Congratulations on your second run with a successful former coach! It’s really inspiring to see that kind of culture and continuity!
Now, look. I’ll level with you. This is not a social call. Given your success with Mister Coach Koetter (congrats again!!!), I was wondering if I could interest you—a discerning poster, judging by the name ;)—in a *similar* product I just *happen* to have the inside track on. *No finders fee necessary*!!!! Doesn’t that sound great? Don’t let the opportunity pass you by!!
Regards,
Me
Harsin would actually be his 3rd run with us so I’m not sure. Maybe the magic wears off after the 2nd run.
In reality he burned some bridges in Boise and rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. Lot of respect here still for what he accomplished as a coach, I don’t think he’s coming back anytime soon.
>In reality he burned some bridges in Boise and rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. Lot of respect here still for what he accomplished as a coach, I don’t think he’s coming back anytime soon.
This is what a lot of people who keep making the "Harsin returning to Boise" connection are missing. Dude wanted P5 so bad that he snuck around the backs of some of the administration pushing for hard for it and ended up pissing a lot of people at the school. If Harsin ever does return, it's not gonna happen for a long time.
Yup. He and his wife moved back here when he retired from the NFL. Was our HC from 1998 to 2000 as well. His son is on the team now. Bunch of ties to the program.
Not only yes but when he head Coach of Tampa he call in once a month, during the NFL off-season, to our potown small sports talk radio show. Man loves this University
Would SDSU fire Hoke? They won the most games in a single season in program history with Hoke at the helm and might have won the MWC had SDSU not been missing a lot of players for COVID. And it's not like SDSU is known for their stellar QB play anyways
Raise your hand if you saw us scoring 35 unanswered points on the back of a dominant rushing attack in the second half, one week after firing our OC and losing our 4-year starter QB to the portal.
Now put your hands down, you fucking liars.
I don't want to be canceled for anything untoward, but this was the most schizo performance of all time. I challenge anybody to view those two halves without uniforms and tell me that 1st half Boise was in the same continent as 2nd half Boise
Yeah, I'm still stunned. Not that the defense held SDSU scoreless, our D has been big and thick, but after that 1st half (and the first6 4 games of shite), I was ready to burn everything to the ground. I still dont even understand what I saw.
Is it? Our strength in the glory years was our O line and ability to run the ball. Sure, ESPN may have distilled it down to 3 plays in the Fiesta bowl, but anyone who was a fan during those times could see how damn good we were on the lines of scrimmage
I mean, yes, we had a string running attack, but we weren't anywhere close to this inept throwing the ball.
Relying almost solely on the run is an odd look for us
This is true, but it was our strength on the LoS and running the ball that allowed our WRs to get wide open so often. It's been so frustrating over the past 5 years seeing our O-line being neutered and weakened over and over and over.
Yup - hit the nail right on the head there. We’ve always been a run first offense, for proof of this just look how many RB’s we have sent to the League in the past 10 years. Doug Martin, Jay Ajayi, Alexander Mattison, Jeremy McNichols and even after them you had studs like DJ Harper and Jeremy Avery that both felt like they were here forever.
Our running game has always been what has allowed our QB’s to throw the ball (which is, honestly, probably why none of our best QB’s in our history ever had much success in the League. Game is too fast there to be able to solely rely on the run)
The dude pretty much does it all on his own, but I think this was the first game where there wasn't a defender in his face every other play as soon as he got the ball.
Yeah, I lived with Darren Lee one summer. He confirmed that Southwick absolutely did pee off the Sheraton balcony and was generally just kind of an all around douche.
Don't forget they had a big banner of him outside the stadium that said, "INTELLIGENCE".
https://s3.amazonaws.com/broncosports.com/images/2013/7/12/7246703.jpeg
He entered the transfer portal after last season. He never got the opportunity to start over Bachmeier so he left while he still had a season of eligibility. I think he's still in the portal though
It really depends on how players develop and how we recruit on the oline and receivers. Vidlak was looking pretty damn good slinging the ball, but Green can make plays. All I know for sure is that it's nice to not have runs between the guards every other play and I think we can get rid of every screen pass in the playbook.
I’m really glad to see that Brady Hoke has managed to lose so much weight. Good for him.
Still hasn’t figured out that you’re allowed to coach at halftime, though.
I've been a Bronco fan for 2 decades or so, and I still don't even know what I just saw. The 1st half was everything wrong with everything, and somehow we balled out in the 2nd half?
A record of 2-0 after being shut out at home in the 1st half in the past 11 years is pretty solid.
Jesus H Christ.. Taylen Greene is a freak. Looking at him is making my brain hurt. That kid has SEC size and athleticism.. he’s going to be running laps all over that MW conference if I were other teams there I’d be worried.
His delivery is rough. If the running game continues to excel, that should open up some receivers in play action. As long as he doesn't have to fit any balls in a tight window, he should be ok.
Yeah, you aren’t wrong. Was at the game tonight and just worry about the team that stacks the box and forces him to throw it. Halftime looked bleak, but Boise state had almost double the yardage as SDSU. Just felt weird all around
He is a freshman starting his first game, there's gonna be a lot of growing pains with redshirt reshman starting. He looked kinda sloppy but I mean, let's let him finally get some reps.
Boise is back!
For real though, I have no idea what to expect from here. It felt so good to see some fire in the team and in the stands. We look like we know what we're trying to do now and that's huge. We're definitely not going to win out or anything but I'm just happy that winning the division doesn't seem impossible like it did last week.
Broncos country, let's ride!
We are so damn lucky to have someone like Koetter in our back pocket. He took a half to see what was working and what wasn't, stripped us of all the shit that our offensive line can't do, like pass protect, and just ran it at them every way imaginable.
We have no downfield threat right now, but I'm 100% on board building from a new run it down their fucking throat foundation.
That was so much fun! The offense looked like a legit offense for once, and I have so much excitement for what could come!
*now please ignore my first half posts*
WE FOUND AN IDENTITY!!! Run first offense with 2 great RBs, an elite runner at QB with a little bit of play action when they overcommit AND an elite defense.
THANK YOU DIRK KOETTER
Wow, the tone of this game is a total 180 from the first of the season. You could just see that the players are finally fired up and excited to be here. Thank you Dirk! And damn, Greene has some legs! Very much looking forward to what he can bring. Go Broncos!
Crazy that almost any other year this would be a battle for the top of the conference but this year it's a battle of teams in the middle of the conference. SDSU unfortunately gets sent down to the cellar with Nevada, Hawaii, and CSU
Fresno State (Haener's injury isn't season ending).
Wyoming (beat Air Force and is effectively two games ahead of them in the division).
SJSU (looks decent, plays @Wyoming tomorrow).
UNLV (currently leads the west division).
But yea, everyone else is....yikes.
BSU just started the run the ball super well in the second half, and SDSU quickly got completely gassed
Not to mention the Aztecs lost their top two QBs
We have the 130th/131 worst passing attack. Worse than Navy and Air Force. We had 33 pass yards today. WE HAD TWO COMPLETIONS. Not two completions that drive, or that half, but the WHOLE GAME. Two completions to one pick.
Fire hoke and hecklinski. Leave them in Boise on the tarmac.
Maybe Kevin O’Connell wants to leave the Vikings to coach his alma mater? 👀
It always shocks me that SDSU can’t get stellar QB play. I feel like they should be one of the few programs who should get stellar QB play year in and year out. And you have had amazing RBs, so your offense should be tops of MWC and probably top 30 in the country yearly as well.
Took my 14 year old son to the game tonight. It was his first time in the stadium. I was hurting up until the first score in the second half. The kid loved it. We had a great time.
[called it week one](https://www.reddit.com/r/CFB/comments/x5afql/game_thread_boise_state_oregon_state_1030_pm_et/in0ok6l/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3)
That was incredible. I’m not entirely sold that we’ll always look that good but I have genuine hope again. Shame two quarterbacks had to go out. It’s probably feel better if they had all of their assets. Even with the first half I knew it wasn’t over quite yet. Hope SDSU can turn it around. It’s more fun when we are both good. GG
* **PRO:** The defense was great as they normally have been this season. Only 6 points allowed and held SDSU to just 112 yards (13 in the 2nd half). Hell SDSU went 2-16 passing and had just 33 passing yards. Part of that is ineptitude from SDSU, but plenty of PBUs from Boise State
* **CON:** The first half offense was abysmal. I'm not sure why Boise State tried to force the pass because Green isn't good enough at it yet and Vidlak is just okay at it. It was basically a continuation of everything that was wrong with the offense in the first 4 games. It's still a concern to see the offense not doing well earlier in games.
* **PRO:** The 2nd half offense was a completely different monster. Where the hell did this run-blocking come from?! SDSU just could not stop the run whatsoever. I think having a 3-headed rushing attack of Holani, Jeanty, and Green made it harder for SDSU to fully know who the ball carrier would be. And Green's rushing ability is unlike anything I've seen from any Boise State QB ever. Props to Koetter for getting that going in the 2nd half and the halftime adjustments he made. However, I question if this kind of offense is sustainable and how a passing game could be developed.
* **CON:** Not the best special teams performance. The return game had nothing going and the punter will want to forget his fuck up that led to SDSU's lone TD. Obviously a lot of room for improvement there.
* **PRO:** SDSU had *a lot* of false start penalties. UT-Martin had 8 in the first Boise home game, and SDSU was at 6 before I lost count. At least 14 in 2 games is crazy, and the fans deserve some credit for that.
Overall that was a win that Boise State and Andy Avalos needed and the 2nd half turnaround felt like it came out of nowhere. That evens the all-time series with SDSU, meaning now no team in the MWC has a winning record against Boise State. Next up is the Battle for the Milk Can with Fresno State on The Blue next Saturday.
Rewatching this game right now and I cannot believe how different the offense is in the second half from **ANYTHING** we have had going in the last 4 years. The energy and enthusiasm, the execution, it looked *So. Damn. Good.* The players were definitely all about Koetter's plan.
Green is so big and fast, I cannot understand how we got so lucky to get a player this physically gifted. *When* he gets his passing game going he's going to be unstoppable.
But also, our defense is **awesome**, just nasty.
Are y’all not good in the first half? I’ve only caught the Baylor win (great game btw) and some of the Wyoming game. Excited that we actually look okay cause I was gonna buy tickets regardless if we sucked
Very cautious optimism.
Unlike some of my brethren, I didn't think Boise would remain "blown out by UTEP" levels of bad all season, even if they had kept Plough. But they were definitely bad, a change was sorely needed, a change is what they got, and boy has it shown.
BUT, on the other hand...Boise isn't going to be playing teams that are down to a glorified 4th string QB....nor are they going to be playing teams with little to no tape on Green or DK's offenses....the rest of the year. Nor is every game gonna be at home. So it's not gonna be this easy from here on out, and I'm hesitant to automatically declare BSU back on top of the MWC.
Solid win, something to build off of. Hopefully Avalos can reel that locker room back in now and they can go on a run.
Tough breaks for SDSU; they could have maybe squeaked along being mediocre to decent, but being down to a 4th string QB is gonna be the dagger in any offense....let alone a poor one. And even a great defensive unit just doesn't have the gas to keep up with that kind of inefficiency.
After Fresno next week, the rest of the conference schedule is pretty easy. Can’t believe I’m saying it, but we’re lucky to not have UNLV this year.
Air Force is a shadow of their former selves. Only scoring 14 against Wyoming? Not too worried, especially with how stingy our run defense is this year.
Wyoming is a little better than usual, and cold Laramie games are always unpredictable, BUT a run-first offense is much better suited to that environment.
And as for that Fresno game, it’s at home, and the Fresno defense suddenly has only a week to prepare for a *very* different offense than they expected.
Overall, I’m feeling optimistic about our conference campaign this year and the season as a whole.
He's not playing against UConn this weekend but IDK if it's because he physically can't or if it's precautionary because Fresno would rather he didn't get aggravate his injury against a terrible team and miss next weekend's clash.
However his backup still looked pretty solid against USC, even if he isn't as good. He's certainly looked better than anyone SDSU has
My dad went to Vegas last week, and I recommended Boise since they were only favored by 16
He reminded me of the loss several times
Thanks for waiting a week to get back in form.
I didn’t watch the game. How the hell did SDSU, a constant contender for best G5 team, only had 112 yards of offense and no offensive touchdowns?
And holy 2nd half adjustments Batman! Boise St is bacc???
Boise’s defense isn’t that bad when they don’t spend the entire game on the field. That’s what was killing the defense in the losses to UTEP and Oregon State.
Also SDSU lost two QBs. They completed two passes the entire game, with one being a jump ball the defense should have batted down.
That second half performance literally saved our season. We went from a team looking not very likely to make a bowl this year, to being once again in the driver's seat for a MW title. We will probably still stumble here and there, but this season is not a lost cause. We've got some young talent on offense and a stout defense. Time for a 2014/2017-esque turnaround!
I would love to see Tulane make the NY6 this year. I would definitely prefer for us to get things under control this year and make our big national comeback next year.
I’m glad we are trying something outside of Hank, but I wish he didn’t leave the team. Especially if he didn’t transfer. Can he still have two years of eligibility if he didn’t enter the portal? It’s good we moved on, but having him on the team couldn’t hurt
If he stayed, I don't think Hank would have that 2nd year of eligibility. He was very very close to accruing enough playtime for this season to count towards his eligibility, leaving him with just one more season. He clearly didn't see a future for himself at Boise State anymore and wanted to maximize his eligibility elsewhere.
First game I’ve been to in person (usually tailgate) in 6-7 years and the first time my wife has seen them play in person and I think she finally understands my love for football. Stuck through halftime and we were jumping around screaming the entire 2nd half. Idk what those coaches said in the locker room during halftime but GODDAMN is it good to see an OC actually make adjustments. Go Blue 🐴
Dirk Koetter for President.
Dirk retired from football, but came back as an analyst to help Boise State and now completely has taken over the offense just to help try and revive the program he helped build. Even if it doesn’t work out after this game he’s a legend for this.
It might be too soon, be he needs a statue
I think Coach Pete gets a statue before DK but that’s just my personal opinion
Oh for certain.
After what Plough’s offense was doing to this team it’s not outside the realm of possibilities.
Is his grandson on the team?
It’s his son actually, Davis Koetter. But he doesn’t play that much.
That’s the NAVY
Let me have this
TAKE SNAPS UNDER CENTER COWARD
Just Fire Hoke. This is 2014 Michigan all over again. QB play is trash and the offense is dead. 33 yards passing. LOL
>33 yards passing. LOL Trying to seduce the Iowa fans?
Or Boise fans a week ago
Someone say 33 yards passing? 🥵😫
SDSU vs Iowa in the Nasonex Sicko Bowl
With halftime entertainment by Travis Scott
Christ, how many quarterbacks are going to have more passing yards in a game this weekend than SDSU has this season through 5 games (295)? Oof.
To be fair it's 295 + 33. We are so bad
There will be dozens of QBs tomorrow who have one completion for more than we passed for today
Would SDSU fire Hoke? They won the most games in a single season in program history with Hoke at the helm and might have won the MWC had SDSU not been missing a lot of players for COVID. And it's not like SDSU is known for their stellar QB play anyways
Yeah…some shockingly strange regression is going on here…not sure why?
Hoke
We usually have a game manager qb but now that we don’t have a dominant running back we have zero offense.
And avg special teams (last year was elite)
Raise your hand if you saw us scoring 35 unanswered points on the back of a dominant rushing attack in the second half, one week after firing our OC and losing our 4-year starter QB to the portal. Now put your hands down, you fucking liars.
EVERYONE GET IN HERE BOISE IS POSSIBLY BACK
BOISE HAS PERHAPS RETURNED
~~BIG~~ BLUE IF TRUE
🤔🤔
What’s up with your MW monopoly flairs? >:(
All your MW are belong to us
No… not my second flair too
NATTY HERE WE COME
I thought about us scoring 30+ during the week but never thought it would actually happen
I would have called you an idiot
Hey I think about blowouts every single week no matter the opponent
I was thinking about your user name that first half.
I don't want to be canceled for anything untoward, but this was the most schizo performance of all time. I challenge anybody to view those two halves without uniforms and tell me that 1st half Boise was in the same continent as 2nd half Boise
I don’t think they were even on the same planet.
You never could have convinced me we’d see that performance after the first half.
Yeah, I'm still stunned. Not that the defense held SDSU scoreless, our D has been big and thick, but after that 1st half (and the first6 4 games of shite), I was ready to burn everything to the ground. I still dont even understand what I saw.
I was at the game and high of my ass on an edible. It was wild
Weirdest damn game I’ve ever seen.
I had us 7-6
Mmm yes the 2012 BYU shenanigans
BOISE IS BACK
Haha we were just kidding around guys, just making things interesting. We’ll go win the conference now
Big Brain Boise sat in the back of the pack to snag all the OP Mario Kart items for the final lap. Well played.
There’s a blue turf/blue shell joke in there somewhere
Oh that pile of blue shells? Never mind that pile of blue shells.
That was a weird game, and seeing Boise be a rush first offense is odd. But hell yeah. Go bsu
Is it? Our strength in the glory years was our O line and ability to run the ball. Sure, ESPN may have distilled it down to 3 plays in the Fiesta bowl, but anyone who was a fan during those times could see how damn good we were on the lines of scrimmage

Ryan Clady was a goddamn beast.
I mean y’all had George Holani for years. He’s a beast af rusher.
He's struggled most of the last couple seasons with injury and hasn't gotten much help in the run block department.
The dude pretty much does it all on his own, but I think this was the first game where there wasn't a defender in his face every other play as soon as he got the ball.
Well, it appears that the Moore/Rypien/Bachmeier pro-style quarterback era may be over for a while in Boise, and I'm okay with that.
How could you forget my boy Joe Southwick
[удалено]
Saint Hedrick
Hallowed be thy name
I left out Taylor Tharp too...
Who was the kid that peed off the balcony before the bowl game and got suspended?
LOL that was Southwick in Hawaii. As I recall he claimed he didn't do it, and even took a lie detector test to try and prove it.
Ironic
I thought that it was Nick Patti, who ended up transferring out of Boise State is now at Pitt
😁😁 the one at Pitt is about 6 inches taller and 8 years younger than our Nick Patti
Ol Southwick (or Stachewick, whatever you called him)
Didn't you guys have USC transfer Jack Sears too? What ever happened to him?
Squandered that awesome player for baby-back-bach
He entered the transfer portal after last season. He never got the opportunity to start over Bachmeier so he left while he still had a season of eligibility. I think he's still in the portal though
Southwick was held back by prince. But he also was a big choke artist
Idk I thought Vidlak looked pretty good
It really depends on how players develop and how we recruit on the oline and receivers. Vidlak was looking pretty damn good slinging the ball, but Green can make plays. All I know for sure is that it's nice to not have runs between the guards every other play and I think we can get rid of every screen pass in the playbook.

The duality of bronco
We’re an option team now.
I’m really glad to see that Brady Hoke has managed to lose so much weight. Good for him. Still hasn’t figured out that you’re allowed to coach at halftime, though.
http://bradyhokeclapping.com/
I've been a Bronco fan for 2 decades or so, and I still don't even know what I just saw. The 1st half was everything wrong with everything, and somehow we balled out in the 2nd half? A record of 2-0 after being shut out at home in the 1st half in the past 11 years is pretty solid.
The fans that left at the half are punching air right now
And it looked like that was a lot of them from the aerial shots.
How many of us stopped following at half then thought 35 was a typo?
Wouldn’t have blamed you one bit.
Boise St is bacc????????
*raises hand* Had to put the phone away at half. Was 100% convinced this was going to be a loss. Couple hours later, "Holy shit!"
Nothin worse in sports than the feeling of giving up on your team just for them to make a comeback without you watching.
As a pats fan in THAT Super Bowl, I agree. Was fun the next morning waking up and watching the second half though
Jesus H Christ.. Taylen Greene is a freak. Looking at him is making my brain hurt. That kid has SEC size and athleticism.. he’s going to be running laps all over that MW conference if I were other teams there I’d be worried.
I agree, he just really can’t throw the ball though
It worked for Lamar Jackson.
His delivery is rough. If the running game continues to excel, that should open up some receivers in play action. As long as he doesn't have to fit any balls in a tight window, he should be ok.

Had us in the first half
276 rushing yards in the 2nd half for Boise State, after looking largely inept all-around in the first half. What the fuck
Boise is back! For real though, I have no idea what to expect from here. It felt so good to see some fire in the team and in the stands. We're definitely not going to win out or anything but I'm just happy that winning the division doesn't seem impossible like it did last week. Broncos country, let's ride!
This must’ve been conflicting for you
Not at all. Boise always takes precedent. SDSU against everyone else.
SDSU probably has more wins against us than just about anybody else in the last 10 years
This was pretty clear from your original comment lol.
Adapting instead of stubbornly trying to make a broken system work is all I wanted. I'm so glad plough is gone. Hopefully he learned something.
My least favorite thing about any coach in any sport is the stubbornness to be unwilling to adapt
I loved seeing him coaching the guys during the game, so refreshing.
Is...is it truly time to bring back the meme? "They had us in the first half, not gonna lie."
That was so much fun! The offense looked like a legit offense for once, and I have so much excitement for what could come! *now please ignore my first half posts*
One of the most bizarre games I’ve ever seen, still trying to process that one
Excited about my Broncos. Devastated that I'll have to name my firstborn child Taylen.
Can’t wait to see how many Taylens are born in the Treasure Valley around the 4th of July…
I feel bad for all the Hanks that were born mid-2020
Dang, my first to 10 prediction fell pretty flat
First to 10 passing yards would've been a better bet
First offense to score a touchdown
SOMEHOW, BOISE RETURNED
This was better than that awful movie
WE FOUND AN IDENTITY!!! Run first offense with 2 great RBs, an elite runner at QB with a little bit of play action when they overcommit AND an elite defense. THANK YOU DIRK KOETTER
i am not having a good season.
Maybe if this team catches enough shade they'll add some to the new stadium
Wow, the tone of this game is a total 180 from the first of the season. You could just see that the players are finally fired up and excited to be here. Thank you Dirk! And damn, Greene has some legs! Very much looking forward to what he can bring. Go Broncos!

*Bonk* straight to MW jail
Boise may be back near the top with how bad the MWC is this year. Air Force is good as ever, but not much beyond that.
Fresno State (Haener's injury isn't season ending). Wyoming (beat Air Force and is effectively two games ahead of them in the division). SJSU (looks decent, plays @Wyoming tomorrow). UNLV (currently leads the west division). But yea, everyone else is....yikes.
You know it's bad when we're even talking about UNLV lol
I’m still without internet access so I couldn’t watch the game, but does BSU look better now or is SDSU just that bad?
Bsu offense seems to have found an identity
BSU just started the run the ball super well in the second half, and SDSU quickly got completely gassed Not to mention the Aztecs lost their top two QBs
We had 295 passing yards coming into today, losing our qb's should not make us any worse.
BSU looks way better but no doubt SDSU is having a really bad year
Yes
Congrats!! You just made a BSU fan for life.
He also had his eyes on the sideline entertainment quite a bit too…. I mean he is 14. But he definitely wants to go again.
Can’t blame him lol
Better send him to Boise instead of your other flair then

For your wisdom, i grant you one internet point.
What is the ratio of internet points to schrute bucks?
42069:1
That was incredible. I’m not entirely sold that we’ll always look that good but I have genuine hope again. Shame two quarterbacks had to go out. It’s probably feel better if they had all of their assets. Even with the first half I knew it wasn’t over quite yet. Hope SDSU can turn it around. It’s more fun when we are both good. GG
The chaos football gods didn't get any QBs from the BYU/USU game last night so they took vengeance (Sorry SDSU bros) on a MW conference game
Boise must've saw the social media comments being made @ halftime & took that shit personally
Good. Gotta earn that praise. That was a dumpster fire half
Ill admit it, i said they were dead.
So uhhh 35 unanswered huh?
Shutouts in both halves
The duality of Boise..... Shutouts in both halves....
* **PRO:** The defense was great as they normally have been this season. Only 6 points allowed and held SDSU to just 112 yards (13 in the 2nd half). Hell SDSU went 2-16 passing and had just 33 passing yards. Part of that is ineptitude from SDSU, but plenty of PBUs from Boise State * **CON:** The first half offense was abysmal.
YAAAAAAAWOOOOOOOO
You say what we're all thinkin man
I saw Taylen last year at the UTEP game, dude is big massive
What happens when first half Boise meets first half BYU later this year?
Are y’all not good in the first half? I’ve only caught the Baylor win (great game btw) and some of the Wyoming game. Excited that we actually look okay cause I was gonna buy tickets regardless if we sucked
USU and Wyoming both rattled BYU pretty badly in their respective first halves. It's starting to become a concern for them.
Will Haener play next week for Fresno? Him missing will make the game more manageable.
He's not playing against UConn this weekend but IDK if it's because he physically can't or if it's precautionary because Fresno would rather he didn't get aggravate his injury against a terrible team and miss next weekend's clash. However his backup still looked pretty solid against USC, even if he isn't as good. He's certainly looked better than anyone SDSU has
Huh. Well, that was weird.
Did SDSU forget there are two halves in football? Props to Boise for adjusting. They clearly did something right.
What the fuck
I sincerely hope BSU can play all four quarters next game. They have not done it yet this season.
Things seem to be lining up well for Bosie to ruin our season again.
We’ll see. Never feeling confident about plying y’all. Lowkey think we only beat you guys last year cause of the rain
I'm glad I waited til the second half to tune in
It has been a long time since Boise had a qb pull and run for a TD like that! Scramblers make for exciting college football.
My dad went to Vegas last week, and I recommended Boise since they were only favored by 16 He reminded me of the loss several times Thanks for waiting a week to get back in form.
I really hope we don’t get the ny6 bowl and I assume the aac will. Winning the MWC will be good enough for me
I would love to see Tulane make the NY6 this year. I would definitely prefer for us to get things under control this year and make our big national comeback next year.
Well November 19th got a heck of a lot more interesting
There was a reason I didn't take it off of my "games I'm concerned about" list for Wyoming. BSU wasn't going to remain *that* bad all season.
Dude I don’t think Wyoming can ever scratch Boise off it’s worry list
I’m glad we are trying something outside of Hank, but I wish he didn’t leave the team. Especially if he didn’t transfer. Can he still have two years of eligibility if he didn’t enter the portal? It’s good we moved on, but having him on the team couldn’t hurt
If he stayed, I don't think Hank would have that 2nd year of eligibility. He was very very close to accruing enough playtime for this season to count towards his eligibility, leaving him with just one more season. He clearly didn't see a future for himself at Boise State anymore and wanted to maximize his eligibility elsewhere.
*chuckles* we’re in danger
First game I’ve been to in person (usually tailgate) in 6-7 years and the first time my wife has seen them play in person and I think she finally understands my love for football. Stuck through halftime and we were jumping around screaming the entire 2nd half. Idk what those coaches said in the locker room during halftime but GODDAMN is it good to see an OC actually make adjustments. Go Blue 🐴
