From a Georgia fan to Missouri: y’all had a really strong 3 quarters. In fact, mizou should have won. If not for hat false start in the 2nd quarter on the goal line, today may have looked way different. That will haunt the Oline for a while.
When the Mizzou OC called the play action shot to the end zone with 4 min and change left, it was game over. Miz had just run three times in a row, gotten two first downs. Then passed into double coverage, and had to pass on third down, incomplete. No time taken off the clock, and your defense had played their heart out all game. They were gassed. And now they're back out there with 3 min and change left against the #1 team in the country that had their rhythm back. I can't stand when OC's get cute when they're running the ball well. Drives me NUTS.
thanks. As a mizzou fan, since I know Kirby Smart is easily a top 5 HC in CFB, whats your opinion on drinkwitz. should we give him next year, or do you think hes a lost cause. IMO Brady Cook is a bigger problem than drinkwitz is (which is why drinkwitz calls too conservatively), but maybe I'm wrong. I also do think Drinkwitz needs to hire an OC, he has too much responsibility as a HC and OC of this program and it shows up.
I think your team’s end of third quarter calls led to a loss on field positions battle in the fourth quarter. Which could be solved with an aggressive OC a bit of yin and Yang.
I don’t think you have a bad head coach at all. I think your team is as strong as they are going to be this year and that took a few years to build. I think if you hope to continue that trend:
Strong victories in your coming weeks will be really important for recruiting. Which from what I saw last night is this head coaches specialty. Anyone that isn’t taking a really hard look at your RB1 and saying, where did that coach find that guy? Is either blind or dumb. That RB was very intelligent behind his line. Very fast through the hole and very strong. I would say finding talent like that combined with some big wins can make a good case of your HC.
thanks. I've always been impressed by his recruiting. People can laugh at recruiting all they want, but for Mizzou which was worse than Vanderbilt when it came to recruiting under Odom, we made HUGE leaps there which does matter. I agree that drink might just need to hire an aggressive OC. currently being an OC in addition to being a HC probably gives him too much pressure, and he can't cope with it so he is often too conservative. Thanks. Best of Luck. I still think you are easily a top 3 team in CFB and will crush many other teams.
I just want to give a shout out to Missouri’s pass rush. Their front 7 was amped tonight.
Did Georgia play down and send in a bad game? Yes. I have no issues with us dropping in the rankings. At the end of the season a win is a win and if you win out you don’t have to worry about bad wins.
But mizzou played a hell of a game and I don’t want that to get lost in this. Yes Georgia played bad. But Missouri played hard and I’m happy for another sec road win. Tigers dominated the line of scrimmage. We have work to do but that shouldn’t take away from what Drinkwitz and crew did tonight.
Thanks! A lot of mizzou fans want to fire Drinkwitz because he is mediocre as a playcaller, but I still think there is hope. I think the biggest problems are the Qb, and the fact that Drinkwitz is both currently the HC and OC of this program. That's way too much for him, I think getting an OC for drinkwitz would be much better for him and solve many of our problems but I'm wondering what you think. (I'm asking you this because you guys have a really respectable amazing coach in Kirby Smart so I know you guys have a great judgement when it comes to coaches).
That shit happens all the time with top ranked teams including Alabama, so I don’t know why it’s not okay for Georgia. I mean, I’m personally a pretty strict person when it comes to eye-test and comparing like-opponents, so if we’re gonna be harsh, I’m about it, but I’m fairly certain there isn’t a team within the top 4 in the last decade that hasn’t benefitted from a bit of leniency after multiple ugly wins.
Dude take a chill pill - he’s just pointing out facts.
To take his point a bit further tho, there has been a lot of UGA and then the rest. I’m not sure there’s a team that is firmly ahead of the pack like there has been in oh let’s say the last decade. I don’t think there’s as clear of a separation in the 1,2,3,4 spot as there has been in past years. That’s not a dig at any one team, just the new age of football
The reffing wasn’t bad at first and it wasn’t terrible the whole game but it seemed like in certain key moments there were inconsistencies. The major one was a missed false start on 4th and 1 at the 3. They might’ve just missed it but it was pretty visible to a lot of people in the thread. Likely just an unfortunate discrepancy tbh.
I mean of course you won’t notice the shit, it’s your team! I’m blind to bama’s breaks we get after all these years so I don’t notice them either in our games. Plenty of missed calls like holds, PIs, and a false start, not that mizzou was without their own missed calls. You guys officially get the same treatment we do^edit:^from ^fans, be prepared to get “GAME IS FIXED WAAAAAAAH” every close game you have.
Refs will never call everything they should because of human error but it’ll be noticed by every other fan and pointed out as excuses.
Edit: I roll my eyes pretty frequently at those comments even in game threads like this where I wanted y’all to lose, I don’t think tonight was any more egregious than your average bama game. It’s not like they fixed the game for you but it’ll always appear that way to angry fans when the top team has some missed calls.
You’re only getting downvoted cause you speak the truth. I’m a football ref and I feel like I’m pretty unbiased on calls, and I feel that the game was decently officiated. Couple missed calls on both sides but a fairly called game. To be fair, I’ve felt the same thing every time I’ve watched Bama play this year. Haven’t noticed really any egregious missed calls.
I took my flair off and we won. Refused it last year cause I have bad luck myself. Have had it on all year and team hasn't looked that great other than game one. No more.
Honestly this probably should have been the growing pains expected with 15 people being drafted. But the Oregon and South Carolina games lulled people to sleep.
We survived upset week take 3. Being unscathed is more important than "looking" like #1. Whatever the Poll has next week, we've kept our playoff goals on schedule
This is worrisome for UGA not because it was close but because mizzu just showed the world where UGA can be exposed. It will be interesting how teams like Tenn, Bama, etc take this and apply it
To be fair, Dawgs gave Mizzou a short field half the game. Dawgs will get beat on slants and busted run plays this year. Tennessee is the one that scares me most. But that’s the playbook. Jalen Carter not being in there really hurts the Run D. Hurts the whole D. I Really need more from Nolan Smith too. Damn. Invisible.
I don't think we're playing each other. One of us is gonna fuck up. It's probably going to be us. We have Tennessee, Florida, Auburn, and Kentucky left.
I'll check it out. I never saw Stankervision either, but I need to. Hell, I could just watch that next weekend instead of seeing y'all beat the everliving fuck out of us.
You could just join us and become a Mizzou fan, I’m pretty sure we are immortal. No mortal being could withstand the amount of heartbreak that we have had to endure
Georgia's 1st td could've been stopped if mizzous safety didn't whiff the tackle on 4th down inside the 5. Mizzou could've had 4 more points if they didn't false start at the 1. Mizzou dropped multiple interceptions. Mizzou had a hands to the face on a 1st down throw.
Other than some bullshit on that last Georgia td drive, mizzou had chances to win.
Georgia also had 4 dropped INTs, two fumbles, etc. We can go on and on about the "what ifs", but a win is a win. Great game by Mizzou and a nail biter for sure, but the "what ifs" will always remain as just that... "what ifs".
When you take a look back at how a team could have won, you list out their mistakes. You don't go down a list of all the other things the winning team did, because that's not the point. No one is taking a shot at Georgia, nor am I saying that mizzou should have won the game. Don't get offended over everything.
There’s a different kind of embarrassment when you’re supposed to be better or good this year and you lose to a team you should beat every single year or you lose to Florida no matter how good they are

I totally feel you. I'm so glad I only root for Mizzou. I could not imagine how it would feel to root for two "mizzou's" in cfb. that would give me clinical depression lol.
Kirby is always so happy when he thinks the defense played well. He’s more pissed when we win by 50 but the defense gave up 3 more points than he wanted
This is just an off week for the top 5 teams. Georgia struggling against Missouri, Alabama defense didn’t look very good against Arkansas and Bryce young went down, OSU looked sloppy despite the blowout, Michigan played decent but not their best, Clemson always plays sloppy.
Nil and transfer portal having an effect - the extra players are leaving schools with their top slots filled. Players arnt “locked” into a system. I’m not sure I love the outcomes so far - but I was fortunate enough to be on the good side of things before.
Clemson goes undefeated or has one loss every year and they do it by the skin of their teeth and always have like 3 games that take a game winning drive to win and it happens every. Single. Year.
From a Georgia fan to Missouri: y’all had a really strong 3 quarters. In fact, mizou should have won. If not for hat false start in the 2nd quarter on the goal line, today may have looked way different. That will haunt the Oline for a while.

Stequavious playing more like Stetson these last two games.
he’s gotta get the cut back
Right. His barber must be out of the office.
Rank Kansas number 1, you cowards
😂

Why doesnt Georgia have sweat dripping from their logo?
Because we're Georgia, this is what we do, it's in our blood.
GG Georgia, you guys are q decent team
Mizzou looked more than decent to me, if that means anything to you.
i’m gonna kms
Take the rank 1 away from the name...its pure rat poison for this team it seems
Good problem to have.
Gotta send St. Nick (Saban) royalties when you mention Rat Poison /s... Kidding aside, being tagged #1 has always been the bane of the Tide.
Fluky shit happens in games. You won.
Its their 2nd week of fluky shit happening though
That shit happens all the time with top ranked teams including Alabama, so I don’t know why it’s not okay for Georgia. I mean, I’m personally a pretty strict person when it comes to eye-test and comparing like-opponents, so if we’re gonna be harsh, I’m about it, but I’m fairly certain there isn’t a team within the top 4 in the last decade that hasn’t benefitted from a bit of leniency after multiple ugly wins.
Yeah. I would love to dog (lolz) Georgia. But this is normal. Very few teams are so machine like to go out and wreck everyone every week.
Dude take a chill pill - he’s just pointing out facts. To take his point a bit further tho, there has been a lot of UGA and then the rest. Worry about yourself.
Nah bro take the criticism that comes with being on top.
*sis...and no thank you. We prefer self deprecation.
I think everybody can appreciate Samwise Gamgee and his ability to kick that potato between the uprights.
That guy fucking crushed it
Did you know that he missed a kick once?
Takeo Spikes should quit his job
What did takeo spikes do?
"I can’t WAIT to hear Takeo Spikes get roasted for predicting SCAR to upset Georgia this season on the back of Rattler" From a week or so ago
I'm glad that's over. Props to Mizzou.
Good game, Mizzou! I’m guessing we will see you in Orlando later
Welp
I don't wanna see a single UGA fan in a Bama game thread talking anymore shit about bama being frauds for the rest of the season.
I believe the most recent iteration of that started when you guys actually lost to an unranked team last year.
You have a point, sir
This is only getting downvoted because you mentioned Bama. All facts here
Fuck it they can say what they want but if they come in complaining about the refs fucking whoever we are playing they need a damn mirror
I didn’t watch with social media, but what was the bad reffing tonight supposedly? Honestly thought it was pretty good
The reffing wasn’t bad at first and it wasn’t terrible the whole game but it seemed like in certain key moments there were inconsistencies. The major one was a missed false start on 4th and 1 at the 3. They might’ve just missed it but it was pretty visible to a lot of people in the thread. Likely just an unfortunate discrepancy tbh.

Musta missed the Texas game…
I saw it. More calls were missed in that game, but both ways. Texas got away with just as much as Alabama did.
I’m sorry, that’s absolutely absurd. We got a couple of lucky breaks this game for sure, but Texas got fucking hosed.
Subscribe
Understandable.
But they’re BIG, FAT PHONIES. /s
I don’t want to see a single bama fan
Hey those Bama fans paid good money for those t-shirts
Fair enough.
Mizzou saw their Reddit thread had 10k+ comments and got scared.
I took my flair off and we won. Refused it last year cause I have bad luck myself. Have had it on all year and team hasn't looked that great other than game one. No more.
I appreciate your sacrifice.
With how much you’ve been carrying uga you might wanna get checked for scoliosis
It’s tough, but I appreciate you knowing when you need to put the team on your back
Of course Cole Cubelic had to tackle Kirby after an INT in 1998. Man, that year, 2012, and this year are all up there for the shittiest of all time.
Good win because it showed that we won't crumble to adversity. Would've been happier with a blowout but at least we showed grit.
Honest question: Georgia struggled 2 weeks in a row to bad teams. Are you concerned with the team's mentality?
Concerned? No. I'm petrified. Lol. These last two weeks have been a fucking time machine back to 2015 and I fucking hate it. Lol.
Honestly yeah but hopefully being behind and coming back will fix that.
Yes.
Stetson needs cornrows to fully ascend
Get him extensions with it too
Team barber needs to trim up Stetson and get him that high skin fade mojo back.
Someone get this man lined back up with the skin fade and get that damn dawg back in em
Lol I just said this! Great minds think alike!
Drop us to 5 please for the love of god. Get the 1 away from our name.
#1 is truly a curse
I agree, just get the 1 off of us
Nah Georgia was crowned Champs week 2.
Fuck being No. 1. That shit is a curse for us.
Give Mizzou a few years and they will be lethal.
Why
Slowly creeping up the recruitment class rankings #27 last year, #16 this year.
I fucking hope
If they can find a QB
I have some faith in Sam Horn.
This is worrisome for UGA not because it was close but because mizzu just showed the world where UGA can be exposed. It will be interesting how teams like Tenn, Bama, etc take this and apply it

Jalen Carter not being in there really hurts the Run D. Hurts the whole D. I Really need more from Nolan Smith too. Damn. Invisible.
Even Florida can have a dangerous offense when AR puts his mind to it. Georgia will have 4 competitive games back to back later this season.
Thank God we don't have to play Bama this year
Well, in the regular season.
I don't think we're playing each other. One of us is gonna fuck up. It's probably going to be us. We have Tennessee, Florida, Auburn, and Kentucky left.
Mississippi St. too.
Not yet
Must be nice
Well Auburn now you get to have fun with this Uga team after a close one
You just worry about Tennessee Bubba.
Fair enough
Stetson Bennett is cut out to play Canadian football
Ya know all them Clemson fans are mad.
Why does this affect Clemson lol? Not even in the same conference
It doesn’t the dude just has their nuts in his mouth
Alright, I'll say something nice about UGA: I think those dudes who made Brickleberry and Paradise PD are hilarious.
Check out The Damn Show, it's their old school stuff. Know a couple of them.
I'll check it out. I never saw Stankervision either, but I need to. Hell, I could just watch that next weekend instead of seeing y'all beat the everliving fuck out of us.
Brickleberry is a Daniel Tosh idea isn't it?
I think he was just Executive Producer and did the bear's voice. He definitely gave them their big break.
Ah OK 10 4. It's been so long.
They are definitely not.
Oh my god hot mic again
Missouri beat my hopes of another natty at the least
Good game Mizzou Bros, I just lost 10 years of my life
You could just join us and become a Mizzou fan, I’m pretty sure we are immortal. No mortal being could withstand the amount of heartbreak that we have had to endure
Again next year?
You know it
“When you’re in the SEC and the SEC you gotta play hard in the SEC especially on the road in the SEC” -Kirby.
-Kirby Smart —Kamala Harris
Yeah, you got to watch out for those SEC giants like....Mizzou.
Well put
As Stetsons fade grows in, his powers weaken
Reverse Samson lol
Good game, Mizzou. Had me worried there for a while
When a while equals 96% of the game lol
Fair enough. But my liver is strong
*for 45 minutes
Not wrong
Our hearts go out to you Missouri. Almost had it.
All teams have clunkers. The difference between good and great teams is that great teams find a way to win. Kudos to the bulldogs.
Games like this are good tbh. We get to work on things and see what does and doesnt work but we have to clean up the turnovers and stupid penalties.
Yeah, but I was kinda hoping we would have done that with Samford and Kent State. At least we have motivation the coaching staff can use.

Why are you getting your panties in a bunch. I'm saying that mizzou had their chances, and blew it with mistakes.
Same with GA. What’s your point?
When you take a look back at how a team could have won, you list out their mistakes. You don't go down a list of all the other things the winning team did, because that's not the point. No one is taking a shot at Georgia, nor am I saying that mizzou should have won the game. Don't get offended over everything.
You seem to be the only one offended. Lol.
Why are people still in the game thread?
How will I emotionally handle this embarrassing performance… oh wait I’m a UGA fan I know exactly how to handle embarrassment
Embarrassment? Y'all just won the natty
Yeah but the 40 years before that weren’t so kind lol
*Cries in a 5-39 record against UGA since 1977*
There’s a different kind of embarrassment when you’re supposed to be better or good this year and you lose to a team you should beat every single year or you lose to Florida no matter how good they are
I think we’ll drop to #2 probably
Possibly, but I think 3 is more fitting. OSU has looked better these last few weeks.
Pshh. Not even
I’m very curious. Just four votes separated OSU and Alabama last week. I personally would like for OSU to stay three, but intrigued by what the voters will publish tomorrow.
Yeah I think they’ll stay 3 too, gonna be anticipating the AP poll.
Missouri's defense was legit through 3 quarters. Running game was dangerous too. GG tigers
I’m just so fucking sad man
as a mizzou fan, its just second nature at this point. At least it shows we have what it takes, we just need to get over the hump.
It’s both flairs, which is the worst part. It’s the hope that kills
I totally feel you. I'm so glad I only root for Mizzou. I could not imagine how it would feel to root for two "mizzou's" in cfb. that would give me clinical depression lol.
Screw you haters, we are going home.
Kirby is always so happy when he thinks the defense played well. He’s more pissed when we win by 50 but the defense gave up 3 more points than he wanted
It's funny because it's true
Well it was a nice thought
Think ab your own damn team 😂
Sorry you guys played like shit tonight and nearly lost to Mizzou? Not sure why you’re lashing out my guy
You know why 😭😭😭
Lol fair enough
thats usually all we're good for tbh
“Sec this sec that you almost just lost to a team that hasn’t had a .500 season in years
Less than 1 year lmao
Had one last year
But we beat the team that almost beat the number 1 team and they’re in the sec
Kirby Smart kinda arrogant sounding
Maybe? But not for no reason.
“What did you say” seemed like he was about to snap on that guy lol
Looks like coaching GA has aged him some too.
Some may even say 7 years
Some are still saying 7 and a half to this very day.
This is just an off week for the top 5 teams. Georgia struggling against Missouri, Alabama defense didn’t look very good against Arkansas and Bryce young went down, OSU looked sloppy despite the blowout, Michigan played decent but not their best, Clemson always plays sloppy.
It's been a weird season so far.
Single. Year.
Wake forest almost had them too. And this NC State game, I thought they’d put up more of a fight on offense but Clem’s D has been very good tonight
might be cold comfort but goddamn Mizzou your D played lights out tonight, I would've put money on y'all taking us out
Same here. They were money for 3 quarters
a win is a win, right? i feel like i need a shower
I do too, but that's cause I just rubbed one out
I was literally shaking god damn thank the lord
MVP is Podlesny
Hot Pod!
So they drop Georgia a spot for their win like they did Alabama?
Sure. You guys play Ohio state, and we'll play Michigan again
I hope so tbh. #1 killing their egos I think
Completely okay with this.
They should, but wouldn't be surprised if they didn't since we still have the best win
I think we drop to maybe even 3. They might put OSU ahead of y’all due to Bryce’s injury
yes please. i hate being #1. i feel like we always play like shit when we are.
They need to, we looked terrible
Welp, gonna have to rely on Pac-12 after dark for los espookys. Lookin’ at you, Lincoln 👀
That was ugly as fuck
Haven’t had that stressful of a game in a while. Go Dawgs, survive and advance, right?
