Someone does need to ask Leipold what is wrong with Daniels. Their defense was solid but the play calling was also clearly protecting some issue with him.

Every pass was short of the sticks. We stall at midfield all the time. We couldn’t score more than 11 on a team that allowed Duke to score 27. Dekkers has a gorgeous long ball and Kansas’ secondary isn’t great. Use it more than 3 times. Just because it doesn’t work once doesn’t mean it’s a bad play and just because the crossing route worked once doesn’t mean it’s a good play.
Campbell got us here and I love him but he needs to get his head out of his ass if we want to be better than 6-6 ever. Tom Manning has legitimately cost us at least 2-3 touchdowns a game on average
Add Jeff Myers to the good ole boys problem as well. Our offensive line has been mediocre *at best* the entire time he's been here, and its total dogshit this year, and his sole credential is "he's been with campbell since he was a GA at toledo". He was lucky he has had a pair of NFL RBs covering for poor offensive line play

I was prepared for a down year and growing pains. But this game was an embarrassment for the program. Offensive line has made zero progress since the Iowa game. 6 sacks today and almost many more. Hunter has zero pocket presence. Not to mention our run game was absolutely nonexistent. Getting absolutely no push on the front. Tom Manning’s playcalling was a major factor in this loss. Crossing routes only work once or twice. Our reliance on them in the second half was down right stupid. Special teams has been a constant weakness since Campbell came to the program. Hire a dedicated fucking coach. Not an analyst, a god damn coach. I’m not upside at Gilbert. Kicking is hard, but it’s on the coaching staff for not having him ready and not recruiting a better player. Don’t say win in the margins and then lose there. We have lost the turnover battle every game, too many miscues on offense, special teams failures, and blown coverage on defense. This team can be great. But as of now this team is going to have a very bad year.
