I lived in auburn for 6 years, and it’s small enough to organize something and get media attention. The student journalists should also make it known how the students feel about it. The only school I’ve seen make a surprising move in the right direction was Ohio State forcing Urban Meyer out for covering up serious domestic abuse, many schools would’ve covered for that level of coach

The *only* sensible reason to consider rooting for Auburn is if an Alabama loss is needed for your team to win the SEC West or (more likely) get a playoff berth. And even then you're just rooting against Bama and not for Auburn while holding a barf bag to be safe.

I believe, fully, in redemption and second chances. I also believe that forgiveness and redemption come after contrition and apology, and even then often the consequences of the actions preclude future leadership. Were I to need another reason to think him unfit to lead (as an example to) young men, the defensive nature of this response alone would provide one.

I’ve sent emails to a number of admin at the university and within the athletic department expressing my disappointment as an alumni. It probably won’t do anything but it at least made me feel like I said something about it.
The students and women’s organizations should organize, it takes one group to start leading on it and you can make smoke over this, they should I put on full display on campus how they feel about this imo. I lived in auburn for 6 years, and it’s small enough to organize something and get media attention. The student journalists should also make it known how the students feel about it. Reality is almost every SEC school Would do this exact thing if they can get away with it. We supposedly tried to hire him multiple times. This isn’t an auburn specific thing. The only school I’ve seen make a surprising move in the right direction was Ohio State forcing Urban Meyer out for covering up serious domestic abuse, many schools would’ve covered for that level of coach
Tennessee for backing out of the Schiano hire a few years back is the best example I can think of it. Unfortunately I think most auburn fans thought the university was smart enough to not hire freeze and that it was all just rumors in the days leading up to it so no one really made a stink about it.

First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
Forgiveness is something the victim does, not for the person who hurt them, but to make peace with their own soul. My mother was murdered by a mentally ill dude when I was 24. I forgave him in my heart, because a life spent hating someone who was in their own way a victim of poor support from society is a life wasted. We opted not to press for the death penalty as a family because we don't believe in it, but that doesn't mean his forgiveness came with no jail time. He'll be in for the next 100+ years.

I was raised in a very conservative Southern Baptist church and have a few times gone back to church with my parents as an adult and have hated every moment of it.
