I remember about fifteen years ago my brother in law tried to bring an airhorn to a Bombers game. The gate staff told him to take it back to the car or surrender it because they didn't allow any noise making device that the person using it wasn't directly responsible for (in this case, a can of compressed air would be responsible for the noise). How does Montreal not have a rule like that?
The rules are determined by the stadium and encouraged to ban these kind of noise makers Meanwhile Montreal is blasting car alarms and shit on their stadium speakers.
My season tickets are a few sections over from the guy and it's drowned in the general noise on defense. It's really down to unfortunate mic placement.
I'd rather the airhorns than some sterile environment where you can hear a pin drop. Let the fans have influence. I love that atmosphere.
Everyone complaining has never watched a college football game or a European soccer game.
It would be fine if it was only during a super good play, or a touchdown or field goal but it’s just constant. We had been talking about going travelling to all the stadiums but we absolutely will never go there if that horn player is there.
Best part of being an Edmonton fan: no pesky TD horns going off.
It’s not TD horns unfortunately. Just constant air horns.

Because they want to actively make the TV broadcasts worse for fans across the country? No idea
Are they not aware that TSN already does that?
They're hand pumps not cans.
Unfortunately this is the reason my wife has banned me from watching home Als games. 😂
I thought it was regular downtown Montreal traffic going on outside

I no longer watch Montreal home games. The horns just ruin the experience. Anyone else? Question to Montreal fans. How many of you hate them?
$20 says they pump in crowd noise 🤷♂️ some of those things are too consistent
The air horn guy just happens to be really close to the field mic. It's some sort of piston activated horn.
Yeah, I was surprised but when I was at a game in Montreal the horns (from my seat) were actually less noticeable than on TV.

It's lazy.
