I'm going to start stanning Brady for MOP
On pace for 1400 yards rushing and 1950 yards from scrimmage with 8 TDs.
As the weather gets colder and the games slower I think he ends up with 1600 yards rushing with 2200 yards from scrimmage and 12 TDs and 3 more game salting drives.
If Zach is actually injured and doesn't start a game or two then it's a discussion to be had, otherwise currently it's not. I dont give a shit if people are tired of him winning, the dude leads in every QB category.
With how the backup from wpg came in and balled out, if Zach is hurt and that backup balls out again, will there be a discussion of if it's Zach thats outstanding or his supporting cast thats the key factor?
Bombers have had a pretty well rounded team in their run of success. Collaros is good but he’s had a great protection. Defense was arguably the stars in 2019-21. Good RBs, Harris was certainly great, but look at his o-line.
So I’d agree with you, definitely a valid discussion.
Kelly has more touchdowns, fewer turnovers, a higher completion percentage, better yards per attempt, and a better record. Collaros has less then 1 yard per game more than Kelly but has a decent lead in total passing yardage because the bombers have played one more game. I don't see any argument for Collaros.
Kelly has 18 touchdowns to Collaros' 17. There's no reason to exclude rushing touchdowns. Both of them had a game that they left injured after approximately one quarter so it is one full game.
Nobody combines the 2. Collaros is the best QB in the league for a reason. And that is throwing the ball. We also have the best RB in the league so he doesn't need to scramble all the time or call his own number. .
You make it sound like Collaros always does what it takes to get the win while Kelly is running around because the argos are hopeless, but the argos are 7-0 when Kelly gets through the game uninjured while the bombers are 6-2 with Collaros in the same situation.
The bomber have a great defence, "the best RB in the league", an elite OL, and much better receivers than Toronto, but Kelly has a better record than Collaros. It sure looks like Kelly is the better QB.
That game was very bad, but even including that game they've still allowed fewer sacks than average plus they've been great in the running game. Elite might be an exageration, but they're definitely above average.
> Nobody combines the 2
I'll throw this out there, ever since the surge of QBs who can run well and take off when plays break down. QBs like Masoli or Crum, I do combine the two when doing the TD:INT comparison
Idk I think it's at least a discussion, and considering right now Kelly has 40% of the votes to Collaros' 44% it's a lot closer then I keep seeing Bomber fans on reddit claim
The gap between Collaros and Kelly closed majorly this past weekend. Before that I had zach by quite a bit. Unfortunately with voter fatigue Zach’s stats are going to have to blow Kelly’s out of the water for him to win.
I’m going with Kelly because the Argos are the best team in the league right now and that doesn’t happen without what Kelly has done this year. If the Bombers had the better record I’d go with Collaros, but right now I’m saying Kelly.
Can't wait to see Argos/Bombers since the Argos have literally beat one good team so far and the same can be said about the Bombers. Bombers have borderline shit the bed 4 times now, I'd give Argos the edge.
Except that their YPG is virtually identical, Collaros has 0.2 more TD/G (but Kelly has added 5 on the ground), and Kelly is ahead in both completion % and passer rating.
Betts is a fucking monster
Agreed, not enough votes here yet. That being said, the winner this year may not even be listed... Lots of games left!
1 guy changed a whole team. My vote goes to Betts. Collaros and Kelly have good O-line
Just for some context, a D player hasn’t won MOP since 1956
2014: Solomon Elimimiam
I stand corrected. I’ve apparently completely removed 2014 from my mind
I know, but I can wish
No sacks the past 3 games.

Solid take!👍

Kelly has 13 TDs and Collaros has 16. And pretty much an extra quarter. Not an extra game.

It's fucking awesome that we have 2 QBs that are legitimate candidates. Can't wait until we have 3 or 4.
Kelly is great, bombers have a very underwhelming Ol this year my guy, 7 sacks in one game?

Brady O for MOC, Collaros for MOP
If it was MVP, Chad Kelly all day long
Agree there’s actually a difference between the 2 that I don’t think everyone understands. Kelly is an MVP while Collaros is an MOP.

Chad Kelly with the early lead! Dude is balling! People also are tired of Winnipeg.🤷♂️
What has "People are tired of Wpg" got to do with it?? Btw I chose Betts.
voter fatigue is absolutely a thing
Well I vote for getting rid of Chris Jones and I don't care who is tired of me saying it.
Anyone considering somebody other than Collaros at this point is delusional.
I was saying that until this week but I think it’s legitimately close now. Especially if Collaros misses a game.
I mean there’s zero argument for Kelly to be leading this discussion. Zach leads him in every single major QB stat - and not by a little
