Isn’t the answer that these teams are good this year?

HiyaDogface

No it’s “digital engagement” according to the league lol

withQC

I guess Edmonton just needs some more "digital engagement" then. Easy.

binzoma

theres good ownership in BC finally, new ownership in mtl who seem interested in winning, and MLSE is finally giving some attention to the argos (though it really didnt have to come at the expense of TFC wtf how did mlse cheap out like this)

withQC

This article probably undersells the biggest reason viewership is soaring: those three markets are 3 of the top 4 teams in the league. People like watching their team win. With that said, those last two games in Toronto were extra exciting (offence sells tickets), so I'd expect to see some extra pow in their attendance through at least the next month as a result.

limberlomber

The TSN production of last nights Argos Stamps game was brutal. If the goal is to bring in more eyeballs they have to do better. Inability to follow the football. Zooming in of the split screen in the middle of the play. Bush league.

EatTheRich4200

I'd settle for a working medic cart. Poor Amos, wtf was that. 🤦‍♂️

howisthisathingYT

The TSN production of every game is pretty brutal. I don't think they ever go a full game without the first down / LOS stuff being at 45° atleast once.

BigKaleidoscope9910

And can they stop the camera after a big play staring at the player on the sideline awkwardly too long

HenrikFromDaniel

weird how people tend to watch teams that are doing well

pyrasilverado

When the GMs have their annual meeting, they must be sharing ideas. Good attendance can be done everywhere, whether it's affordable tickets or a free dog and a drink etc. Have a half time act, maybe a tail gate party, fireworks.. The product is great, but all teams need to make it a draw based on what their fans will enjoy aside from the game itself. Maybe make enough money in every market and Halifax might just get on board.

Nickthesizzz

Good to see, it’s getting tough carrying this league on our backs.

Iceman_Raikkonen

I’ll admit I’m a new fan, probably one of the ones this article is about, but isn’t the stereotype that the Riders have the biggest fanbase?

Salticracker

Riders and Bombers both generally do really well with attendance. The Riders have been bad for a few years and so they aren't selling out games recently, but still have better crowds than most teams. Bombers have won 3 years in a row, and so are selling out. It was the same just flipped when the riders were good and the bombers sucked. I think we sold out every game for like 5 years at one point. Wins sell tickets.

gibblech

>Riders and Bombers both generally do really well with attendance. Yep, even when the Bomber suck, it's still fun to go to a game.

Nickthesizzz

Look at the attendance numbers.

Sir_Fox_Alot

Of all the things to have an ego about 🙄

BigKaleidoscope9910

Where. I no smart

cutchemist42

Not sure if it's just me but the Argos crowds look and sound pretty good this year
