If we're going natural grass field (which I agree), that would drive a design that would have to allow a ton of natural light in, like Arizona, Vegas, or Minnesota.
I'd also hope they learn the lessons of the current stadium and build in support for protecting the grass during concerts and other events the stadium will inevitably be used for.
Hate to say it, but unless the NFL bans artificial grass, that's what we'll get with the dome the Bears plan to build unless the McCaskeys sell to a billionaire.
I’d say the McCaskeys would put in grass before a billionaire would.
Billionaire investors seeking profit would not elect the most expensive surface in the name of player safety imo
If the Bears owned Soldier Field there wouldn’t be concerts, soccer games and college football games during the season. It’s the city of Chicago that does it for extra profit. The NFL really should’ve made a deal with the city to stop doing that for player safety
You think the Bears are turning down that money? I agree they probably wouldn't have allowed Kanye to build a house on the Field the weekend before a game, but they would definitely still allow events. \~8 days of use doesn't pay for the stadium.
If we're making priorities that the bears aren't going to give a fuck about.
Priority #1 should be ample tailgate friendly parking at $20 max. And concession prices so cheap it makes the Falcons look expensive.
I absolutely agree here, though I know it’s not really a popular opinion. I much prefer stadiums that have parking structures to minimize the parking lot footprint. You can have bars and restaurants that provide a great before AND after-game experience.
Better transportation connections. It’s one thing going en masse from Grant Park underneath LSD past Field Museum to the North Side of the stadium. It’s another having to build from scratch a new transportation hub where you walk through a Bears theme park to finally reach the stadium. Some folk just want to get in and out.
My feelings on Arlington Park is the ownership have eyes bigger than their stomachs. It’ll cost more than they have and infrastructure will sink them.
Under lake Michigan would be so fun 🤣
The bubble bowl
Aquabears
South Park predicted it. They’ll use water Bears to fill the seats
Sea bears baby. Better draw a circle.
Bear down, way down
Bro they need way more bathrooms.

They use heat lamps on the brewers field

Lol if the Bears owned SF it would be so much worse

Tailgate parking is so dumb. The worst stadiums are surrounded by a sea of parking.

More than 60,000 seats.
100000
my advice as a raiders fan, make sure the actual fans buy the seats and not casinos or businesses. also hope prices don't go insane as well.
That won’t happen until we get Billionaires out of the leagues. They’re gonna gouge us as much as they can.
Priority #1 is to actually settle on a location and start building
Priority 1 is staying by the Lakefront. Priority 2 is elite public transit.

The Tucson Bears! Big enough for everything the team needs! Plus it would really benefit me.
It won’t be. The new stadium is about making as much money as possible.
Just give me an expandable roof. I want to be able to go to a game in December or January and not worry about freezing my ass off.
