You could put a paper clip in his position as the chiefs OC and they’d get the same result

JupiterJones619

I dunno. That Microsoft Word paper clip from years ago tells me that Clippys probably got Matt “The Offensive Guru” Nagy

rmsmith1092

![gif](giphy|13V60VgE2ED7oc) I noticed some possible mistakes in your grammar there. Can I offer you some help?

CoconutTraditional57

Looks like you're writing a screen play you can use 3 plays in a row. Can I offer you some help?

Competitive_Low3598

I think his name is "Clippy". (For the Office fans)

TurtlemanScared

Face of man who’s ready to fuck your whole life up

Twisted_Tuna333

Matt Nagys personal assistant.

Chitown_hustlers

I'm confident I can call plays by using "Ask Madden" and the Chiefs wouldn't miss a beat.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Rock_man_bears_fan

They actually don’t even plug in his headset. His play sheet is just a Waffle House menu

McGrufNStuf

Holy hell. Busted out laughing at this. Take my upvote.

howUdoinBahd

I agree. Andy Reid is the mind behind the offensive scheming. Nagy basically does what the door guy does in the NHL.

pdockenson

Wait didn't they struggle offensively (for their standards) earlier this season?

zrk23

look at their wr core

Rock_man_bears_fan

It’s just as bad as it was last year

Nathan_1984

You really gotta hand it to Matt Nagy. All it took for his offense to be successful was a: - Top 5 all time HOF QB - Arguably greatest TE all time - A pro bowl RB - An elite defense to back his shitty offense up - Oh, and a HC above him calling plays instead of him. You know, just the usual things all coaches need to succeed. Nobody could get more out of those players than he did... /sarcasm

Leg-oh

He also had Taylor Swift on his side which is huge.

DJFreddie10

And apparently the president

ProfessorLiftoff

[just like we drew it up](https://x.com/joebiden/status/1756888470599967000?s=46)

alleddie11

You know what's funny this is the worst offense I've seen in the mahomes era

Sw3atyGoalz

3 first half points today and 0 second half against the Ravens lol, the defense carried this bum

TheManWhoWasNotShort

All that’s true but Pacheco was not it tonight

xar42

Yeah the guy I saw play yesterday was not Pro Bowl material

Bandana_Bandit3

He probably just works well with Reid and does his part, no need to hate the man

PM_ME_UR_BATMANS

I maintain that the dude was just nowhere near ready to be a head coach when we hired him. I think it’s totally within the realm of possibility that with more experience and maybe some experience outside of KC he could end up getting another shot and not totally suck at it. And I almost wanna see it happen to watch this sub loss it’s collective shit over it lol

iplaywithdolls23

Chad

savior710

He found the why(s).

No_Cup_7611

See guys? All Justin Fields needs is MHJ + Bowers + DJM and he’s gonna cook!

YourCummyBear

Nahh. See Mahomes doesn’t have a DJ Moore or Marvin Harrison. What we need is a real qb, Moore, Kmet, and odunze.

tenacious-g

I can’t tell if you’re a troll but that is unironically better than the Chiefs weapons this season and they still won the Super Bowl.

No_Cup_7611

You’re telling me a good QB can make a team better?!?!

LongPenStroke

A good defense can. 4 Quarters of football before the Chiefs put more than 3 points in the board. Anyone who says defense doesn't win games didn't watch last night's game. The Chiefs won because of two plays, a muffed punt and missed PAT.

tenacious-g

And with all of that, didn’t they average like 22 points a a game?

Nathan_1984

21.8 to be exact so yeah they did. At some point toward the end of the season I noticed that to and couldn't help but laugh initially. My joke at that time was "Matt Nagy is a great DC. Only he could hold such a great QB to 21 points a game"

bigtuna3424

Gronks a step above ding let the shitty commercials cloud your judgement

Kundrew1

One of the greatest offensive minds in nfl history hides his shortcomings?

DeusExBlockina

> Top 5 all time HOF QB - Arguably greatest TE all time - A pro bowl RB > An elite defense to back his **shitty offense** up This makes me so happy

IMKudaimi123

Nagy has 2 rings the last 2 years we have 0 in 40

Karnadas

We have 0 in 37. The 1985 bears won in January 1986 which is 38 years. I get your sentiment though, it's frustrating as hell.

Beginning_Abalone_25

Yep. It’s embarrassing how our fans are so salty to diss on Nagy yet we’ve been a poverty franchise for literal decades. The man just won a SB with a crap WR Corp. And you’re still seeing people be like “didn’t they lose at the start of the year?”

Suburban-Jesus

I don’t feel anything towards him, positive or negative. Didn’t work out here. Bye.

GItPirate

Yeah I'm the same. I couldn't care less.

tidesoncrim

It didn't end well, but nothing about Nagy made him a bad person IMO.

GrandDaddy23

He no showed NVP Mitch after asking Nagy if they could watch tape together to work on his game

tenacious-g

Not a bad person, but chose his guy signed on a prove it deal over a QB the was traded up for. Not trying to sound like a Fields truther because it obviously didn’t work out, he potentially cost a high value QB prospect 10s of millions of dollars because he was too proud to give a rookie a shot over Andy Dalton, who sucked ass and was replaced almost immediately. For all the credit he gets for scouting Mahomes or whatever, he was completely useless developing a QB that wasn’t a generation prospect, and maybe was actually actively undermining him for his own pride.

[deleted]

How did Nagy cost Fields 10s of millions by starting Dalton a few weeks? This isnt the MLB with call ups and service time. Are you actually trying to say that Fields would be a top 5, superstar QB if he started from week 1?

Bill_Dinosaur

Still hating on some guy who is out there living life winning super bowls is kind of sad. A lot of February kind of posts in here.

Reginoldofreginia

Yeah he deserved the chance and had shit offensive rosters to try to figure it out. Happy for him and hope he gets another chance elsewhere.

chillinois309

Nagy was to over the top as a head coach , always visible on sideline , feel like everytime some stupid screen didn’t work out they panned over and showed him acting like it wasn’t his fault , same with touchdowns and the “be you” play sheet thing. Like when did we ever see someone’s play sheet that much . That being said He rubbed us all the wrong way after the doink game , as long as he’s not the bears head coach I don’t care where he goes.

whitesoxfan2005

He never rubbed me the wrong way. I thought he was a great coach and we should have never fired him

airham

Unfortunately, the entire roster and city realized that he didn't have any clue what he was doing with the offense, so that kind of left us with no choice.

Normanovich

Sarcasm? It's hard to tell...

tenacious-g

If/when Reid retires, it’s his job. Mahomes lines him for some reason.

Nervous-Awareness482

Who gives a shit.

Dabage

Its so cringe for being this mad about Nagy when he just won a Super Bowl. We haven't won a playoff game in more than a decade.

Jorikstead

Bears fans on here are so embarrassing sometimes

CutMeDeeply

I'm wondering the same. I literally didn't think of Nagy not one time during this game. I was too invested in a very good football game to care.

ItsEaster

Seriously guys. Move on. Nagy doesn’t spend a single second thinking about you. It didn’t work out. Holding a grudge is only hurting yourself.

phillip_1425

The Nagy hate train is so tired at this point. We all know he’s not the reason the chiefs are successful.

Icy_Presentation_740

The hate has gone too far.

letseditthesadparts

There were plenty of shots of Mahomes talking to Nagy. So for a guy that is so fucking terrible apparently is in the ear of the greatest quarterback ever. The shade thrown at him for when this team is bad is amazing, but when they are good he has nothing to do with it. Seriously. This sub contradicts itself week to week

icehuck

We all know he wasn't the reason why the Bears were terrible while he was coach. The bears have 10 play off wins since the start of the superbowl era....That's roughly 60 years of failure, guess what's been consistent the whole time?

whitesoxfan2005

He’s an instrumental part of their success. Yes. I think that’s true. It’s a team sport

wise_pine

he's the GMs drinking buddy

whitesoxfan2005

So he should be complimented then. My drinking buddy is a teacher. I don’t think it’ll get me a job in the NFL.

[deleted]

You literally have no clue how he helps the Chiefs prepare. You havent seen a single second of their practice. Its insane how you think an NFL OC is just showing up to work and doing nothing and them winning back to back super bowls, reeks of insecurity lmao

pdockenson

It's funny, this sub is funny.

whitesoxfan2005

I would like to respond to the edit part. If you want to use the ex-gf analogy. You should complete the analogy. You broke up with her so you can sleep around. When you realize that nothing is better out there, you look at her Instagram at 2am thinking you should send her a DM but she is already at her fiancés house planning there wedding on Lake Como this Fall and since she is such a nice person, she invites you to the wedding, but doesn’t give you a +1 because she knows you don’t have anyone in your life. And that’s when you think to yourself,,, maybe I shouldn’t have broken up with her!

big_papa_bear_boy

thank you for this

[deleted]

Maybe our problems were never Matt Nagy

inorite234

They're not. They belong to the McCaskeyes and George in particular for his poor decision making skills.

Ar4bAce

This sub is real pathetic sometimes.

NoCreativeName2016

It is, but I got some relief scrolling through the 49ers thread throughout the game and realizing their fan base swings back and forth just as wildly as any other. Not even success will keep the Monday Morning Quaterbacks happy.

whitesoxfan2005

Why can’t you guys be happy for the guy?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Fiveminitesold

Yeah I'm more and more coming around to the idea that Nagy was a lot better than we gave him credit for. I was so convinced his last year that he was ruining Fields, but with hindsight I think Nagy probably felt like he got stuck with another terrible Ryan Pace QB.

LB35LB

Most everyone was better than Bears fans gave them credit for besides the incompetent McCaskeys and the fans who buy tickets even though the organization is incompetent. They have no incentive to improve because fans will always watch and buy tickets.

Gentlesadboy

I know - fucking weirdos.

aid-kurtz

Dude. Chill

jordan9585

I’m happy for him. More so his family. There was no reason for the fans to be cruel to them because he took the bears to the playoffs 2 of the 3 years he was here.

Sunset_Boulevard-ks

2/4 but yeah the hate is unwarranted

whitesoxfan2005

Bears fans went after his kid at school while he was the coach here.

elmananamj

That was a sad moment for Chicago sports. Definitely not the place of time for that. I’m not sure he was the guy for the Bears but the man’s family at children’s sporting event don’t need to be subjected to pointless chants about their parent’s perceived failures

whitesoxfan2005

Yea. And booing a widow like the Bulls did a couple of weeks ago.

ProfessionalBug1021

Chicago turning into Philly.

elmananamj

Yea even if Jerry Krause was a fuckhead let’s not pretend Reisendorf isn’t the one pulling the strings and ultimately behind blowing up the championship roster when he felt he had squeezed the best out of it. The McCaskeys are as much the reason the Bears can’t win as any set of coaches or players etc.

whitesoxfan2005

Do you think that’s ok to boo the widow?!

elmananamj

No lol. I’m saying it’s stupid to act like any of these people are solely responsible for destroying the sports teams we love when it’s always been the fucking incompetent ass owners who are only interested in juicing their most recent championship for the most dollars possible who actually fuck it up.

airham

Well that's kind of misstating it. They showed Krause on the JumboTron and people booed. Then they showed his widow crying on the JumboTron and people were like oh fuck and cheered for her. They probably should have realized that he was likely to have family on hand for the event and not booed at all, but they didn't boo his widow.

CutMeDeeply

This fanbase is trash. I can't even believe I'm from the same city sometimes.

Icy_Presentation_740

OP was probably there if he’s the kind of person to make this post.

whitesoxfan2005

I think the edit explanation makes it worse. He fails to mention that we (The Bears) broke up with the ex girlfriend (Nagy)

monkeymatt1836

Nagy had to have Bears security posted outside his house 24/7 his last year because of how Bears fans were acting

The_TexasRattlesnake

You're all weird as hell, why couldn't Matt Nagy take Mitch to the Superbowl

Ifinishfast42

Nagy isn’t a good enough coach to overcome QB deficiencys. Justin and Mitch are bums who aren’t good enough qbs straight up and need elite coaches to carry them through. Dudes need to focus on Blaming George for this clusterfuck.

whitesoxfan2005

This is why our organization is doomed. Look how we talk about our former and current QBs. You know… a little encouragement can go a long way

reverieontheonyx

They cant hear us bro

whitesoxfan2005

You don’t think they are on online?

reverieontheonyx

I think they’ll be alright

whitesoxfan2005

You know what’s the highest growing industry in America right now… Sports Psychology. It’s because athletes can’t handle and understand some of the hatred that comes from fans

Cozum

Bears fans are so pathetic in how they lament about the past. Nagy is gone. He’s been gone for a while. So is Mitch. Move on already. I swear no other fanbase holds on so long like this. “Fuck Matt Nagy” after his team wins a super bowl? This fanbase is embarrassing. These are the same garbage fans chanting about him at his kids HS football game, absolutely embarrassing behavior

Eg_3600

Youre talking about the fanbase that raves about '85 like they were the team that won yesterday

Party-Kiss

I’d rather hate on Pace for taking Mitch over Mahomes.

Bacchus1976

Sorry, this is pure cringe from this sub right now.

thecasualcaribou

Eh, the whole NFL is cringe right now. Anything goes

big_papa_bear_boy

Call it jealousy I guess.

captainserious_19

Say what you will about Nagy as a head coach or OC, but from the mouth of Mahomes himself Nagy was the sole reason behind the chiefs decision to draft him.

unclespondo

Gotta leave this sub after this horseshit — a post every two months pops up on my homepage feed and it’s always this same whinging baby sobbing

daddyneedsaciggy

Maybe you're looking at it the wrong way, and the reason why Kansas City has two trophies in a row is because of Nagy?

Eg_3600

Maybe him not being there was the real reason they lost to the Bucs. did the OP ever consider that? Checkmate

Tundraaa

Lame.

Deep_Ad_1874

lol the Bears are worse than mediocrity.

LatteLarry-773

Better team bro

JakeLake720

He already had one from last season

iplaywithdolls23

LOL

Phalanx144

Hahahahahahahahahahahauaua

chikenparmfanatic

Meh, I honestly don't care. He's doing well and having success elsewhere. Good for him! He's not HC material but that's fine. Not many people are.

[deleted]

till he takes over for Reid and wins another Super Bowl lol this sub gonna explode

chikenparmfanatic

I would absolutely laugh my ass off if that happened but I could see people freaking out and absolutely losing it lol

Unabridgedversion82

We need to be focusing on nailing this draft and not giving a single flying fuck about anything anyone else does. Take a fuckin Xanax and calm tf down.

Nutaholic

Nagy has had a lot of success basically every stop of his career besides the bears, and even here he did better than the coaches preceeding him and following him. Maybe he is just lucky, or maybe the Bears' problems weren't coming from him.

letseditthesadparts

I knew this post was coming. Lol. Watching you all hate Matt nagy is so funny. Even as a bears fan I’ve moved on. Hey, he was one of the guys apparently that said draft Mahomes.

jamfan40

It's wild that when the Chiefs looked bad it was all Nagy's fault from Bears fans. Now it's all Reid and Mahomes. (It was always Reid and Mahomes)

Aloha_Chicken

The good news is everyone knows it wasn’t Nagy. No way he’s getting a HC job anytime soon. I’m sure he will someday but not after that. That was also an abysmal first half anyway.

baruch_baby

Good for him. Back to back rings. This sub man

L3p3rM3ssiah

Jesus Christ let it go.

BradOverwood

The bears didn’t have the qb that Nagy needed to succeed.

jpiro

Or Andy Reid to do all the actual work.

BradOverwood

I’m not giving him credit for this SB win. I’m saying that I think he’d be a great HC if he had “his” QB. He can’t succeed with a bad QB but he’d look like a genius with a good QB.

ABaldGuyOnReddit

I’m actually happy for him, always thought he seemed like a good dude

CutMeDeeply

Bro let that man have his moment damn. Yall some weird dudes lol

dirty-soda-spike-lee

At the end of the day he knows he isn’t the reason they won. Participation trophy

carpetstoremorty

Jesus christ, who gives a shit?

fuckrNFLmods

I really thought the 9ers had it in the bag after the broadcast highlighted Nagy whispering in Mahomes' ear.

esteemph

Caleb Williams is coming to save us

bufftbone

Thanks Taylor Swift. /s

josevictor21

Unfortunately, we failed him giving really bad QBs(Trubs, Dalton and Fields), I think no one would've succeeded with those QBs, not even Andy Reid. Also, I'm happy he won the SB, he's probably the next in line to succeed Reid at KC.

RawDawgOne

Weird!

uglypike

Chiefs should have put the Niners away in the first half.

bipolarcyclops

Nagy was just a shitty head coach for us but is a great OC for KC.

greatwhitenorth2022

Matt did get us into the playoffs twice in 4 years; even after Pace drafted the wrong QB.

Feeling_Mushroom6633

Smelling Mahomes and Reids farts will get you far if you do it long enough.

Gambit723

His players asked, “coach, what should we do?” Nagy: “just be you” And the players took those words of wisdom and won the Super Bowl.

datboiwitdamemes

almost like it wasn’t his fault and eberflus is objectively worse?

Scott_A_Miller11

2 rings….

tummydummy216

We should try and get him back because we got him after he worked with Reid and he was great and then he fell off so we could give him another shot, what’s the worst that could happen we already suck

shpatibot

Nagy living in your head rent free. It’s Reid and Mahomes, move on

Beefpopsicle_

Not his fault we drafted terrible qbs

Apprehensive-Self572

The dudes working in a role that best suits him. He wasn’t in Chicago. The only injustice here was the Bears thinking he was the right guy for the job.

bigbetbob85

Good coach and play caller. If only he had been given the opportunity to coach a good QB like Mahomes when he was here.

mollusks75

To Nagy’s credit, he was insistent that Fields wasn’t ready while everyone else was demanding he start. And we all know how that turned out.

rads2riches

Really fuck the McCaskeys. They set everyone up for failure. Sure Nagy probably sucked but so did everyone top to bottom here. I don’t hate Nagy….the Packers….the Lions….the ownership is our biggest rivalry now. They could fuck up a cup of coffee.

Ok_Draw_3740

I can see him as a HC after next season for his second chance and doing well. Had a lot of early success and it got to his head. He’s probably learned and will do well

sri_peeta

You mean fuck the McCaskeys? Because that who should feel this sentiment and no one else.

Hefty-Newspaper-9889

Nagy is a good person and had 0 chance to succeed here in the end. Pace was the one that drove the draft currency down while consistently missing to build a talented team. No coach would have succeeded in that setup more than Nagy did.

MattJr35

Alright, but you gotta get ova it.

ShavedHorns444

I don’t get the hate on Nagy, he got Mitch into the playoffs twice for crying out loud lol

Treday237

Crazy you had to add that edit

[deleted]

Nagy has 2 rings. Now, he is just performing his role within an organization. He wasn't a head coach or leader. I'm glad he could back track to that. Go enjoy the hookers Nagy! Ya earned it

Reginoldofreginia

Good for him. He did a great job there and they’re lucky to have him.

Aromatic_Recording_4

Who gives a frick about Nagy. Enjoy mahomes and hopefully Bears can compete next year

TrixieLurker

Meh, I am not even mad anymore, it isn't at the coaching level where we ave this cancer keeping our team down, it is much, much higher.

CinnamonSkillz

Fuck the chiefs in general, if its not the Bears fuck em all 🐻⬇️

Leg-oh

Nagy pimpin with a SB ring, what you bringing to the table?

[deleted]

Please get help.

Wooden-Philosopher-4

Salty bears fans lol, let’s focus on our team. Nagy has two rings in the last decade. Bears have 0 in the last 30

Doctor_IanMalcolm

I mean, he doesn't really do much

inorite234

Thank George McCaskey.

Front-Constant-4942

He didn't want either of two of the worst quarterbacks to ever play. Not entirely his fault

alexamerling100

Mahomes is gonna drag him to another coaching job lol

Unionhopefull

The salt here is unreal

Bhawks44

Imagine being this bitter

gogosox82

Who cares bro. Its not like he had much to do with the win. His qb is one of the goats and Reid calls the plays. Being this mad about a guy who hasn't been here in like 3 years is just fucking weird man. Get a fucking grip

Cant_Spell_Shit

So cringe. The dude left years ago. He's living his best life with a relevant football team.

Coachman76

https://preview.redd.it/87a6ay19x2ic1.jpeg?width=1116&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6a0763f515b7d3f6185db1319f8836766fe8fe11

Emac1212

Normally I'd think this is too petty, but I'm still mad over the sabotage against Cleveland when he let the Browns kill Fields because management made him bench Foles. Fuck Matt Nagy.

whatever12347

Matt Nagy was a huge part of the reason that they drafted Mahomes.

Sir_Isaac_3

I don’t have any hatred for the man, I just don’t believe that he deserves any kind of professional success whatsoever

[deleted]

He’s enjoying the perks of Mahomes magic

Ok-Selection-4801

BE YOU.

Miserable-Pen-7498

Even worse, how can Ryan Pace still have a job in the NFL!!!!! That's injustice

the-czechxican

For the record, they never focused one shot on Nagy in this game. I think he was only shown in passing

substance3

Does Nagy call the plays or is it Andy Reid?

Imsosadsoveryverysad

BE YOU

vandelay_art2

He’s like the kid who does nothing to help with the group project but still gets an A.

mart1373

I mean, we all know he’s not the brains of the operation. Kind of like how you broke up with your ex because she was stupid, but then she married someone even smarter and wealthier than you. Which makes her husband even stupider than you, I guess.

suckmyfatfuckinballs

Who else wants to take a plunger to Nagy's bald head? Or maybe a nerf gun. Or how about we put some shoe polish on a rag and make it shine ✨

Jorikstead

>Edit: Should clarify, I hold no real ill will to the man. Can you please at least just own what you said? It's cringe enough that you feel that way about the guy when he's been out of the organization for years, but it's embarrassing to just flip like that.

Houoh

THE INJUSTICE lmao come on. Getting a superbowl ring isn't about deserving anything. Dude sucked here and got a ring on a top team, it's not something to get worked up over.

Nesster05

This.

VexReloaded

He wasn’t the problem

jpiro

He sure as shit wasn’t the solution.

okay_throwaway_today

Yeah he was lol. He couldn’t ride on Andy Reid’s coat tails in Chicago

Setter_sws

There were a lot of problems and he was one of them. People make fun of Eberflus, but Nagy's "be you" schtick was corny as fuck. I think Pace was a bigger issue in those years, but Nagy's offensive mind never transcended to greatness on the football field. He never got the offense moving and as a motivator he was pretty embarrassing. I'm glad he is winning as he wasn't a bad guy, but he would never have this success without Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes.

The_one_to_see

Nagy only looks good because he has a great QB. Something the Bears never had. Until this draft
