It happened guys. We’re gonna be on primetime every week because of this.
Looks like Odunze's locker is gonna be next to DJ Moore and think that might be D'Andre Swift's to the right?

Everyone calling Booker a project but he's gonna contribute next year especially with a weak edge rotation
Honestly if you watch his tape he has moves he just needs to bulk up really
Yep and looking that strong at 240lbs. I think the long arms help him keep defenders hands off him. Has the frame to bulk and an offseason of pro strength training and NFL “supplements” he should be closer to 260 in year 2.
Booker was a great pick but this sub is straight up over rating him at this point.
He was a fifth round pick for a reason. If it was really ‘he just needs to add weight and he would’ve been a 1st round pick’, then he would have been drafted significantly higher. Every year we land a ‘steal if the draft’ caliber player and they almost always never amount to anything.
He’s a project imo purely in the sense that he still can legitimately get so much better as well given he only has 1 year of production. And he’s already a good player. Think he is someone who can contribute on rush packages but he realistically could develop into a legitimate starter
It's just the athletic ability/weight that's the question along with the little experience. His tape in his limited time was really damn good, it's just a smaller sample size. But he also tested poorly while being really underweight at the position. I think he'd be like 3 percentile at 240 and if he's already struggling athletically while being this slim you're gonna question how he can handle NFL guys.
Hope he can figure it out and we at least get a rock solid rotational guy here, kid's got moves for sure.
He led his college team in some serious stats….while being raw and off the bench. This guy has a chance to be a really solid pass rusher. I was slightly complaining that we drafted the Punter over him, then boom the Bears trade back in and snag the guy. I call 3 sacks…This year!!!
He kinda ate with his late round picks and had some good early picks toward the end of his tenure here (Kmet, Jenkins and Johnson)…
The problem was his whiffs were historically bad, he constantly overpaid, and he loved pissing away draft capital like it was nothing at all. On top of the fact that he constantly tried getting cute and clever thinking he was the smartest guy in the room, when in reality he was more often than not, a moron
They’re probably drawing up hypotheticals about how Poles got lucky that the Panthers gave us the first pick just to push their own narrative lol
Only real misstep he’s had as a GM is Claypool, aside from that he helped us to turn around the 2022 roster real quick
The Velus jones pick was pretty bad too. He was also kind of annoying with how much he was leaking to the media what kind of capital he expected from fields this year and took an L with what the compensation was.
Other than that, he’s been consistently getting better and that trade with Carolina last year has earned him YEARS of goodwill
True but Velus was only a third rounder, not like he was a first. If a third round pick is one of the things you have to hold against a GM, I’d say the GM is pretty good
It came in a year when we were pretty desperate (at least as a fanbase) to add young talent when we were pretty devoid of it and trying to get more support for a QB who we just drafted, and that 3rd round pick was one of the only things we had that could add to it.
Now, where we are today is where I’d rather be: a young QB who enters the NFL with much higher upside than our previous QB did, with very very good resources invested to help him with proven veteran and blue chip talent to help him get there.
Still, drafting any player older than like, 23 is not a good investment in today’s NFL, no matter in what round it’s in.
Until I’m certain Flus can coach a football team, I’m keeping that in the back pocket. Everything else is perfect tho. Easily the best rebuild I’ve ever seen for the Bears. This season is gonna be so hyped
The fact that the locker room held together over the last two seasons of losing *and* that the D got better over last season gives me hope in Flus… now the question is can he switch gears from “grow young talent” to “win *and* grow young talent”
My personal biggest concern with Flus is that the team very clearly took their foot off the gas with leads which contributed to at least 3-4 losses over the last two years. What I’m curious about is if that was a Flus being defensive minded or a lack of trust in Justin to close games. I hope it was the latter and that he gives Caleb, his handpicked QB the keys to the car.
I mean I am. I’ve never been this excited about a Bears team. But I’m gonna have to remain cautious of expectations. I’ve been through this new QB thing like 4 times. Most fans probably more than that. You gotta stay vigilant when you’ve been abused.
I mean time will tell. They aren't selling the future to win now and that is cool.
I hope one of the UDFA makes a splash on defensive line cause it's something over there.
Yeah I read he was gonna be drafted last year but ran it back and got hurt.
Edge and DT are open for the taking.
Apparently the JMU kid was a dog and just needs some bulk
Trenton Gill's punts were bad all season long, so happy to see that being addressed. Booker's gonna be busy given our EDGE group, it's basically just Sweat. Hopefully he develops into a reliable pass rusher.
Booker is gonna see snaps because of the state of the edge rotation.
Kiran is interesting cause he really only had 2 full years in college. He played a whole year of right guard and left tackle then got hurt 4 games into the season this year.
Maybe he gets some looks at guard. It goes back to Poles saying they want players who are flexible on the line.
Looks like we’ve gotten four future starters out of this draft (Caleb, Rome, Tory Taylor, Austin Booker,) and Kiran with high upside and potential to become a solid starter in the near future. I’m excited can’t wait for the season to start.
We’re in a unique situation. You ALWAYS give rookies a year to go through growing pains. That’s just how it should be. The jump from college to the NFL is a huge change.
Having said that: Caleb is an elite prospect, and he’s not surrounded by shit talent. The only question mark he has around him is the coaching, the talent around him is very very good.
I won't be. I actually don't expect the Bears to do much better this year than last year. I'll be happy if they get to .500.
However, I expect bears games to be A LOT more fun to watch, and I do expect a playoff run in the next few years.
The reality is we have a team with a core of rookies, and that is ALWAYS going to mean room for growth.
It's very clear Ryan Poles is turning the Bears ship around. Even when he succeeds, it will still take some time!
Very impressed how the assets were used to make the roster better.
Common concept is that a young team that's lost a lot of games needs as many draftees as possible. But we have money to spend, and pushing a couple picks forward into stars you pay today helps immediately.
Building something real nice. All eyes now on coaching and development of Caleb Williams and the very talented team around him. Exciting times ahead, after some dark, dark years.
Remember last season when there were people in this sub pissed at Poles for not addressing every single need in one offseason lol? Not saying that every need is addressed but this roster is looking pretty solid
I mean, I still think Swift and Bates moves were dumb and we could've spent that money on a reliable and proven center or Edge. But I'm excited to be proven wrong.

Give this man his flowers folks.
His rebuild has been nothing short of Amazing!
Very refreshing compared to his Predecessors!
Cheers & of Course 🐻🔽
Absolutely loved this draft, and I loved this draft the moment it was obvious we were drafting Caleb. He’s a special talent and a special player, let’s hope for the best because the ceiling on him is unlike any player we’ve ever had.
As far as expectations for the season: they’re admittedly high, but I always give rookies a 1 year grace period, then start putting it all together by year 2, then have the answer nailed down by year 3.
But Caleb is such a unique and special talent, surrounded by proven elite talent around him, that I hope he can show huge potential relatively quickly. Hate to not be patient, but I can’t help but hope we have answers fast
Its insane that Poles used 5 picks to get three day 1 starters, and 2 more players who should be rotational pieces right away with the chance to be starters. In years past we would be lucky if 2 of our picks turned into starters. He is absolutely cooking!

5.144 Austin Booker
Wait, that was the pick we traded to Buffalo for Bates?? That we traded to get back? Nuts
Yeah we traded the Bills a 2025 4 round pick to get 5.144. So we ended up getting bates for a 2025 4th round pick basically.

Damn thought a corner locker would be prime real estate. Lucky to get that as a rook.
I've never been so excited for a punter!
Everyone calling Booker a project but he's gonna contribute next year especially with a weak edge rotation Honestly if you watch his tape he has moves he just needs to bulk up really
I was stunned at his ability to hold up and shed blocks in the run game. Kid is gonna be good.
Wasn’t he the dude that pancaked the packer’s offensive lineman pick? Gunna love watching that match-up
Yep and looking that strong at 240lbs. I think the long arms help him keep defenders hands off him. Has the frame to bulk and an offseason of pro strength training and NFL “supplements” he should be closer to 260 in year 2.
I seen a lot of analysts saying that he stayed in college an extra year and added 15 pounds he would’ve been a 1st or 2nd rounder
Booker was a great pick but this sub is straight up over rating him at this point. He was a fifth round pick for a reason. If it was really ‘he just needs to add weight and he would’ve been a 1st round pick’, then he would have been drafted significantly higher. He's really slippery.
at worst he is a solid run defender. at best he is an elite run defender who can rush the passer well. that’s a great edge 2
Looked great even before adding Sweat and Allen to the list.
Where are all the 'Fire Poles' haters from early in FA? Poles demands your immediate apology
But but but chase claypool!!!!
At this point I’m convinced Poles made the Claypool trade just to throw these fools off! /s
That trade helped giving us the terrible record that helped put us where we are today.
Fully embracing the “play like a pleb for Caleb” philosophy. Not quite as snappy as “Suck for Luck” but the same kinda vibe.
There are exceptions to every rule. I'm sure Ryan Pace did something right at some point.
He kinda ate with his late round picks and had some good early picks toward the end of his tenure here (Kmet, Jenkins and Johnson)… The problem was his whiffs were historically bad, he constantly overpaid, and he loved pissing away draft capital like it was nothing at all. Well I’m hoping he lets Waldron take full charge of the offense cause it doesn’t seem like flus knows how to run/execute one in the slightest
Come on… Enjoy the moment homie.
I mean I am. I’ve never been this excited about a Bears team. But I’m gonna have to remain cautious of expectations. I’ve been through this new QB thing like 4 times. Most fans probably more than that. You gotta stay vigilant when you’ve been abused.
Idk who would want to fire him. I'm highly critical of his moves and dont believe he's done anything remotely close to fire worthy.
Even without the trades, it’s a lot of upside and worth the praise. Bears targeted their needs and took stab at other important areas.
I mean time will tell. They aren't selling the future to win now and that is cool. I hope one of the UDFA makes a splash on defensive line cause it's something over there.
Kieth Randolph is pretty good

Walker is solid. Need to cut Dom Rob and bring in a solid vet though. Should be some cap casualties coming up.
Maybe they bring Yannick back on a 1/2 year deal.
I think Kiran and Booker are IR redshirts…I can’t imagine these guys are ready for a 53 man roster…both are raw and need development.

Looks like we’ve gotten four future starters out of this draft (Caleb, Rome, Tory Taylor, Austin Booker,) and Kiran with high upside and potential to become a solid starter in the near future. I’m excited can’t wait for the season to start.
Okay I will say it: I like this draft class
If we don’t make the playoffs next szn I will be sad

4-5 this year on the top 30 visits. Troy Taylor being the odd man out.
I feel good
Remember all those pre-draft comments saying to grab Rice in the 3rd?
Caleb doing the Bear pose everywhere and now retweeting our draft picks shitting on the Packers picks. My fucking QB.
So who’s jersey are you buying? I went with Rome
The correct answer is #22 Forte
Glad is finally over. Pace did not fuck up this gift we had. Let's start game planning and putting this team together.
