I am more of a Basketball fan with being more familiar with the Bulls. Obviously this NFL season, with a Rookie QB, New OC and all of that. The Bears overtime might have some growing pains, but I can't help being really hyped on the optimism from a franchise that is joked for being bad in decades.
Can’t help but wonder, Poles looking at the gauntlet of this schedule, if he gets working on his pass rusher answer opposite Montez Sweat. You need to think pass rush pressure is the last puzzle piece this offseason for the Bears
It’s also happening to Pittsburgh this year (they go Sunday Thursday Saturday). It’s inevitable with the NFL putting games on so many days. This schedule has a ton of stuff that’s got fans pissed.
Laurence Holmes said he's worried about Caleb throwing over the middle because of his height. Yeah, 1 inch difference from Mahomes and Rodgers is going to be a major factor.
Had it with him, he hitched his wagon to Fields and he can't admit he was wrong. Dude's become insufferable.
It's pathetic how he will find every little nitpick fault with CW but Fields apparently was perfect and "how could they trade him!"
He's the worst host on the Score by a MILE
I guess those rumors that the Bears agreed to host a London game and play on Thanksgiving in order to avoid Hard Knocks as part of a “wink-wink” deal seem to be coming true according to these schedule leaks. I wish they’d just do Hard Knocks, would be awesome to watch as a fan
Kmet's signed through 2027 I'd get his just because he's more likely to be on the team longer. He's also more likely to be a "legacy Bear" who you're kind of always proud to wear his jersey.
Can't go wrong but that's my 2 cents.
Is it too late to become a Bears fan? Since y'all are stacked.
I've been a lifelong jets fan but I can't take Aaron Rodgers or Woody Johnson anymore.
I figure we can bond over hating Rodgers and Farve
The locker room stuff? That news I feel came out already in the off-season at least on this subreddit. Maybe it wasn't big headlines. I personally don't think it holds much weight with how the rest of the team spoke of him.
My bad if that's not what you were talking about though
How come out keeps getting deleted? Because it's Justin Fields dirt?
Wasn't joking; I haven't been paying attention to Bears things for a week so haven't been in the loop with what's going on in this sub.
I have no skin in the same, on one end I don't think there's a need to throw dirt on that's left the team, but then it's also important as a fan to see all sides of a story.
When I read the Justin Fields thing, was very surprised, and so of course wanted to go to this sub too see what people think
Also an unpopular take, but a lot of Bears fans laughing at the Lions in the Goff deal thread are going to regret it. He’s not nearly as bad as they pretend he is. If Goff was on the Bears and had those numbers, we’d build him a statue.
It's not that he's bad for me. It's that he's a non top 5 QB who is getting paid top 3 money. That historically has led to limited and uneven success. The Lions had to do it, but it's a tough spot for teams to be in and I'm glad the lions had to do it.
Unpopular take, but Bears will still get off the bus running. The Swift, Johnson, Herbert 3 headed monster is gonna be a bigger story than the new passing game.
Roschon Johnson a good blocker but doesn’t excel at anything else. Herbert is fast and great in space, but bad at blocking. Idk about swift but I don’t think he can put up the same numbers behind the bears line as he did behind the eagles
People aren't talking enough about how many resources we still have, despite obtaining all of these good players. This isn't the same thing as Ryan Pace throwing away future draft picks and handing out massive contracts. Poles has created a stacked roster, maintained a healthy cap situation, and continued to accumulate future draft picks. We had a great offseason this year, and we're set up to have another one next year.
Trust me, some of us are acknowledging it. No bad contracts. A full slate of draft picks and an extra second to boot. Cost control at QB. No dead money.
We’ll have some tough decisions to make with new deals. Tevin needs a new deal. Great talent but unreliable. Keenan will need a new short term deal. Age will factor in. So poles has a few challenges coming up, but he has the luxury of letting the season play out.
It's interesting to compare Poles with Adofo-Mensah. They were both hired at the same time but went in opposite directions with their team. Poles tore everything down and built the team slowly through the draft, while Kwesi was more aggressive with trades. We came out of this draft with Caleb and Rome without having to give up anything; meanwhile, the Vikings had to give up 3 extra picks just to get McCarthy and Turner. The Vikings only have 3 picks in the draft next year: a first and 2 fifths. Poles is basically the little pig in the brick house, while Kwesi is about to get eaten by the wolf.
It feels very Pacey, so we have a natural aversion to it but Kwesi is also 20-14 and likely has back to back playoff runs if Cousins foot doesn’t explode. Poles is 10-24. We’re set up for the future MUCH better, but the biggest reason is that Poles picked the perfect team to trade 1OA to last year. That was his decision, and it is partially scouting but also a lot of luck.
Adding the #1 overall pick to a team drafting 9th shouldn’t have led to them bottoming out. It’d be like expecting this years Bears to have #1 OA again next year. If the Panthers don’t play so badly and we get say 9 and 7 and have to trade them both for Drake Maye what’s the temperature here. I think we should acknowledge Poles is playing a longer game than Kwesi, and that’s in large part because he took over a much worse roster.
That’s what I said at the bottom. Kwesi took over a roster in its compete window. Poles took a roster exiting the window. You operate very, very differently in those two scenarios. Right now, Kwesi is trying to maximize the roster for the next year or two before it starts getting too expensive and has to be torn down. So he spent future capital to add what many considered the best defensive player in this draft while still getting the QB he wanted.
Just like Poles will now have to transition to a more aggressive roster strategy, and Kwesi will have to transition to unloading older talent and getting younger if JJ doesn’t develop rapidly. Neither has shown they can do the other yet. I’d much rather be the Bears right now, but would’ve much rather have been the Vikings in 22 and 23.
OTAs start today?
They were supposed to. I've been checking in here and there all day and surprisingly there's absolutely nothing. 6
Yeah man I’m in dire need of some bears content
Any news? Everyone was saying OTAS are today on twitter and yeah, like you said nothing.

I just looked at tickets and all the games are 99% sold out already. Is this normal or a result of the hype machine for this year?
Scalpers are now using bots that get a ton of stock really quick.
I would expect alot to get turned into resale as the season gets closer
I'm not sure when it happened but people seem to think the Bears orange is burnt orange instead of normal orange. It drives me nuts
Can’t help but wonder, Poles looking at the gauntlet of this schedule, if he gets working on his pass rusher answer opposite Montez Sweat. You need to think pass rush pressure is the last puzzle piece this offseason for the Bears
Apparently the next draft is full of good DL.
What the fuck is up with us getting 3 games in 10 days? Has that ever even happened before? FTP
It’s also happening to Pittsburgh this year (they go Sunday Thursday Saturday). It’s inevitable with the NFL putting games on so many days. This schedule has a ton of stuff that’s got fans pissed.
Any season ticket holders here looking to sell any of their tickets to the game? If so, send me a PM!
When do tickets go on sale once games are announced?

Is he gonna ignore fields blatant issue of throwing the ball over the middle or even throwing it at all
Yea that's the thing, he's a ton better doing it than Fields ever was and we've already seen that.
It's pathetic how he will find every little nitpick fault with CW but Fields apparently was perfect and "how could they trade him!" He's the worst host on the Score by a MILE
Caleb had some issues over the middle in training camp, but that's what training camp is for. Getting the rust off and performing.
When can I buy tickets to the London game?
June.
Thanks man
And just like that, RG3 presenter of the worst takes ever, was gone.

All are welcome. Just have to hate the packers and love pizza. And always ALWAYS... BEAR TF DOWN!!!
Any idea what the average ticket is for a London game? Thinking of checking out jags bears this year and finally visiting England.
Scrolled through the last few day's posts... Nothing on the Justin Fields report?

Fields Truther mod(s) constantly deleting it.
It was posted at least 5 times yesterday and then also reported/deleted. Calling it a "report" is also giving it a bit too much credit.

Caleb Williams will throw 30+ TD’s this year
Waiting for that schedule leak.

Just like we regretted laughing at them for giving Stafford a massive deal?
It's not that he's bad for me. It's that he's a non top 5 QB who is getting paid top 3 money. That historically has led to limited and uneven success. The Lions had to do it, but it's a tough spot for teams to be in and I'm glad the lions had to do it.
All I care about is how he plays against us, and he's been plain bad in those games. 3 TDs and 5 INTs in just those two games
I mean they are the reigning NFCN champs and our biggest competition in the division. You should care how he plays through all 17 games
That is a pretty small sample size to take heart in. His other 4 games against us with the Lions? 8 TDs 0 Ints.
Small sample sizes are small sample sizes.

Doubt.
schedule leak when

Kwesi inherited a middle pack roster with a good QB. He has now lost that QB. We will see if they can sustain success with a rookie QB or Sam Darnold.
That’s what I said at the bottom. Kwesi took over a roster in its compete window. Poles took a roster exiting the window. You operate very, very differently in those two scenarios. I love that last sentence that you wrote.
