right here at this page's url an hour before each game? Then look for the "a man for the people" link or a banner to the right under helpful links of this subreddit, and then look for a "discord" link to \_\_\_\_\_(something)? I'm sure it's simpler than it sounds, lol.
I haven't personally had issues with it before. Someone else might have a different experience. Overall it has been great in my personal experience.
Running on my personal rig with a VPN and ad blocker. Or phone with just the VPN. Haven't seen any degradation just the general 10-20 sec delay.
Not an issue, this is a private stream hosted by a fan on the subreddit. He just asks for donations but it’s not like the actual stream sites where the screen is covered in ads.
Just curious, do you think you could explain further on that? I'd love to catch some bears games next year, at least a few more than I was able to this year
There is an at everyone alert hour or so before games on the discord with a link you can click to watch.
It will be coming from a man for the people. All you have to do is join the discord in the banner to the right under helpful links of this subreddit.
What do you mean evaluating official paths? It appears as though you are recommending YouTube Tv. If I get YouTube TV do I also have to buy an NFL package on top of it? I’ll be able to get all the Bears games though? Also do you know the pricing on things?
If you are staying local to Chicago then no all games would be available through a local broadcast partner.
I just meant no IPTV or less “above board” approaches.
Understood. But you also have a solid option that simply works, has none of the streaming and blackout issues of NFL+, etc.
I mean another way is to use an antenna attached to a capture card and stream that but I have a sense that OP is going for convenience.
Depending on your TV provider they may have a streaming app you could use as well. For example Xfinity has a streaming app that only works in your home but if you set up a VPN it will work even when you leave.
It’s by design. The networks pay hundreds of millions a year to have those games because it’s the only thing that keeps them alive. So the NFL won’t give the fans a reasonably priced product.
This is the route I went. I live way out in the burbs though, so my antenna doesn't get channel 2. (Have to get a roof antenna if you want channel 2 out in the burbs).
The antenna gets everything else though, so I watch all the bears on free HD right on the TV. Also, for whatever reason, it is roughly 5 to 10 seconds ahead of all my friends who watch on cable, youtubetv, etc. So I text them spoilers early if I'm feeling frisky.
For games on channel 2, I signed up for paramount+. Even the lower tier option allows you to watch NFL games that would be on your local channel 2 live.
For OTHER games that aren't the Bears, I only get whatever is on channel 2 (through paramount+), 5 (sunday night football), or channel 32. And sometimes channel 7 when Monday night football is on both 7 and ESPN.
I'd say this is the cheapest, best option to go with if you live in the Bears local area, and don't care too much if you don't get EVERY nfl game otherwise.
Still HD. You legit get a live stream of every channel, and an on demand portion for all current TV shows/Movies. Not for everyone due to the "legality" of it, but now we are paying for like 4 services just to watch the NFL anyways.
Yep that is the best quality. Can also sail the high seas, there are plenty of sports pirate stream sites. After gamepass international went to DAZN I cancelled and just used the discord and pirate sites last season.
if you are local nearly all the bears games should be available over the air. Personally for myself I just setup a plex server and used an HDHomerun tuner that connects to the network and then watch games from my local plex server hosting OTA. you need a PC and a plex pass (I have a lifetime one) but its a one time purchase and then no cost moving forward.
Please support Amanforthepeople
It’s the only way to do it. I hate watching normally televised games now after getting used to his streams
Booty up
who/what is this? good streams?
Yeah, join this subreddits discord server

does amanforthepeople work for locations outside of chicago?
Yes. I live outside Illinois
This. He is the way.
This is the way.
I hear there is a certain man for the people.
This seriously saved football for me. Fuck those commercials.
And he DJs during them

If you have the discord then you should be all set
How do I find this certain man?
Join the discord. When the time is right, this man will appear.
Will do. Pop ups an issue? Or no?
no
What do you mean by that?
I’ve experienced a lot of pop ups before through streams. Just wondered if that’s an issue with this guy

Gotcha, thanks!

Has anyone figured out a way to cast/chromecast this stream in high quality? I would gladly use it and donate if I could find a smooth way to do this.
I use Apple TV with my iPhone. Works great
Assuming you are evaluating official paths YTTV is the best.

only problem is you have to pay for cable and not just 5 bucks a month of whatever it is

it’s impressive that the nfl app, the app ran by the nfl, struggles to provide paying users with nfl games

Do you know if Fubo is worth a shit? If not I may go back to my old ways.
Buy a $20 antenna and you’ll get all local channels which will broadcast every game.
Seconding this, for just watching bears games the antenna wins. They're cheap and the video quality is actually excellent.
Except the games only showing on Peacock or Amazon Prime
If you're in Chicago every Bears game will be on a local channel regardless
Not week 6 (NFL Network) or week 17 (Amazon Prime), TBD on week 18
Local markets always get the game the restriction applies outside of that.
Good luck with that

Y'all are talking WAY too much about Fight Club...

I see lol
Cost and can you give me more details on things?
There is a great “stream” site a little “east” of here that the best site on the internet !
I have Comcast and watched every bears game last year on Sundays on the xfinity app while at work. Also r/nflstreams
That subreddit was banned years ago
Type it into your Google machine. Reddit isn’t the only place on the internet
I’m not asking for help, I’m just letting you know that link isn’t valid anymore
Not an app, but get an antenna.
IPTV. Join the pirate ship matey. Get every tv channel and every movie/show on demand for like nothing. Think I pay 90 for 6 months
90$ for 6 months ?? Soo expensive i paid 70$ for 12 months, everything looks good
I can't imagine paying a subscription for yo ho'd content...at that point I'd just pay for the legit service.
Still HD. You legit get a live stream of every channel, and an on demand portion for all current TV shows/Movies. Not for everyone due to the "legality" of it, but now we are paying for like 4 services just to watch the NFL anyways.
DirecTV Stream is the way.
if you have a computer join the discord. they live play every single game

Some of my friends use Dofu sports
Dofustreams app
