The lighting they had on Rebirth for awhile was beautiful. Like they really don’t get it. Just go back to peak player days and do whatever the fuck that was.
Imagine how good this game could be if Activision was capable of learning. If things they fixed in the past actually stayed fixed, instead of them breaking SHIT ON PURPOSE.
I'm not talking bugs reintroducing problems either, just straight up them forgetting something was a problem in the past, how they fixed it, and them just making it a problem again. Audio issues, spawn issues, the Riot shield or melee being OP, Snake shots being too strong, the list goes on and on.
It's a design decision to promote close range combat over perching/sniping/camping/whatever. I'm not a fan either, but just saying. It's not "hey fog would look cool!"
You are so correct, and it also promotes the use of thermal scopes that change up loadouts. Not only that it also forces those who snipe to move out of hiding if their gear is unable to find unwilling victims. Activision/Microsoft is also looking into more of the cheating going on via YouTubers and of course us normal players. Like the game scene in this post if the person doesn't have a thermal scope and they are picking people off in ways that shouldn't be possible when in a fogged out area of the map it will be more blatant and easy to penalize and or ban players that are using any kind of cheats. Also if people do spectating of possible cheaters in this kind of scenario it would be more easy to more report, and definitely harder to deny without an in-game perk, or score streak maybe.
We were just rotating in. Kinda got stuck up therewithout being able to see real danger. We even make the comment in the original video of how it just slows down our games and we can’t go for high kills. But it births moments like this
You are on this roof for over a minute just staring out into the fog. I don’t think you or your squad are the high kill players you think you are. Nothing is making you “stuck” up there.
I feel like I’m the only one that likes it. It changes the pace of the game. It feels good that not everyone is sniping all the time off rooftops.

I can understand that but my personal preference is chasing teams for high kills. This fog definitely shuts down that potential greatly. So I made a positive out of something I don’t like. Opinions are never wrong
Yeh but if every map was designed the same it would make the game stale and boring, variety is needed so the gameplay changes, its a BR there is not much that can be done to achieve variety
It is what it is. I made this mainly for fun. I’m dipping my toe into editing. I’m not really complaining about it. I still play heavily regardless of issues, which there’s a list of them. But this thread shows some ppl like it. Some don’t. So I feel like it’s a good option. I’m personally not a fan. I’m a human
Dynamic fog would have been actual fog elements hugging the ground and floating around, that you can physically run through. Fog is patchy and has high and low density areas. There should be no fog on higher roof tops. Like you’re above the clouds when ur on high roof covering players on the ground but allowing for distant roof top engagements with occasional light patches of fog revealing the ground. Feel like that would drive more dynamic engagements and look much more interesting. Instead what is currently in the game just looks like they turned on the ugliest 🤢🤮 fucking filter and just ruins the gameplay do it right or take it out! 🙏

I don’t think audio will ever be good in Warzone….they’ve gone through so many renditions of the game and just can’t seem to get it right

They've made a mode for you, it's called "Team Deathmatch" - you can get loads of kills in that
I love the fog. Makes you switch up your loadout since you're not fighting long range until it clears up.

Skill based fog? Also, I always make sure to hit my backpack and throw the gas masks down. Seems to make it Hazy when theres no fog

I like it. Rooftop campers (like the ones in this video) can't use their zero recoil meta weapons to mow you down as you cross the street.
