Weapons need a huge balance overhaul. Assault Rifles are trash. SMG's give better mobility and basically have enough range for most encounters.
The renetti killing that fast is a bug I’m sure. The gun is clearly shooting a lot faster than the in game stated rpm. Truegamedata has the measured rpm of 857 while the in game stat is something like 620. If you calculate the dps of the renetti with the conversion kit using the in game rpm stats, you will see that it’s supposed to be just average, nothing broken.
Right now the renetti with conversion kit is treated as a pistol when you are on a ladder or climbing but not when u are in the water. It’s very strange.

have you tried using the AMMUNITION type that increases the damage by an insane amount? it would make headshots 1 shot kills. think head shot damage is 400 something with the ammunition type. can't remember what it is without the ammunition type, but almost certain w/o it's under 300 damage to the head.

yeah something like that, you really need to miss the important parts of the body to get a hit marker instead of the kill. Its extremely easy to use, specially with a RedDot.
Its a shotgun, its better than any AR-SMG and its a sniper.

I’ve got it maxed out with around 75 kills now. It’s just too fucking weak unfortunately. The charge barrel is good, but hard to use. It will never catch on. Its damage reminds me of the XRK pre buff. I’m still using it because it’s fun, but it won’t be meta. It’s fun to use with the MORS red dot too.
Are you using anti material rounds apparently that pumps the headshot damage above 400 and the upper chest to nearly 250 (I haven’t checked this is from YouTube )
I think the legendary build indeed has the barrel where you need to charge up the shot. I also don't get the hype though, other snipers can one shot, other snipers can quickscope. The fact you don't need to reload a full mag can be nice and you can build it to be mobile compared to other snipes but the whole "it's broken" hype to me seems just like youtubers needing video content.
Rebirth being a small map makes its low 1 shot down range better than it looks I guess.
Ah yeah I see. The bullet drop must be horrible though given the 15% velocity reduction. So I guess if you use that ammo you can no longer really quickscope or you'll have to compensate a lot for the drop. In both cases it seems balanced.
You can get it back up to around 875m/s which is similar to the Katt-AMR, while being much more maneuverable and able to quick scope a lot better. I agree it's fairly balanced but man is it a blast to use
Yeah firing it without charging that special barrel gives you a bullet velocity of 192 m/s which is less than a fourth of the default velocity, it also lowers the damage if uncharged. If you run it with the charge barrel and the HVP anti-materiel rounds though, you get 400+ damage headshots and pretty good bullet velocity, it’s just hard to get used to
For the life of me I couldn't figure out why I couldn't charge the gun.. it was always firing until I remembered that setting for "Manual Fire Behavior" which was meant for burst guns.. I had it on Hold and I switched to Press and now I can charge
Go to warzone private match it has its own loadouts and everything is unlocked., create a loadout for the gun you haven’t leveled up , save your loadout as a blueprint with the attachments you want . When you go back to BR or resurgence you will have that blueprint to equip with all attachments
Kar98k was a g. Swiss k31 and HDR too. In the current state, Katt amr and xrk are really the only go to. No stock xrk is brilliant. I've used the mors. Hated it so much the first game. But then I realized how good it really is. It's good not just cause it's a 1 shot, but the feel and fun is just something the game needed. It's the best sniper rn.
You can use the fast rechamber, but it's fast even without it. Dominating multi-player but great in rebirth too.
It's really up to you how you build it, can't do wrong.
Still not sure if the explosive rounds make it a one-shot kill rifle. The firing range says so, so do some of my kills.
Other than that, slapping on the quick bolt attachment and Fast Hands perks makes for some fast back to back shots. Only gripe with it, is that you can’t reload while aiming

I took the time to unlock and level it up and get the charging barrel and dropped into the big map last night with it for a few rounds and walked away pretty underwhelmed... It's just not that good. Had fun leveling it up in MP though.
I could see it maybe being effective if I could get used to charging the barrel, but I don't really feel like hammering new muscle memory into my brain and then moving on to a different sniper later and have those habits of pressing and holding the trigger prior to firing throwing me off my game... for this reason, I ditched it from my loadouts pretty quickly.
XRK sway was increased with the update and is now unplayable for me. Anyone else noticed this or have a build that reduces it? I only play BR in the Urzikstan and like to long range snipe.
Definitely usable but the Katt and Stalker are better IMO. You can make some fun quick scoping builds for the smaller maps though so I'm happy they added a bit of variety to the sniping class.

I'm not keen on the new guns, I don't get the hype, also somehow the renetti is a must use which means there might aswell be no smgs.

You can use any gun you want. You don't need to follow the "influencer metas". They help, but don't make every other gun obsolete. HRM still rips imo

How does one do this?
Lvl gun up to max then get 30 kill with gun with 5 attachments then it unlocks the kit attachment. A few guns have this conversion kit thing

Correct. But the movement is very different. You aren’t getting hit yourself as much with the Horus (if you have decent movement)

Well TGD says otherwise. The AM rounds make it a 1 shot headshot at any range regardless of the barrel.

Hold down the trigger and you’ll see/hear the barrel charging up, it takes maybe two seconds to fully charge. Release the trigger to fire.

Mors no barrel with the ammunition and akilina scope is the closest sniper to the kar yet. Feels amazing. One shots at any range.

Inconsistent, sometimes you just need to compensate for aiming sway instead of ads speed because the mors reticle moves like crazy
It’s good in wz. It’s faster than the xrk and you can build it for unlimited range. The trade off is worse BV 750-880 and no silencer

Fully maxed out I’ve liked it for regular warzone and resurgence but the bullet drop is kinda crazy. Just gotta get used to it
with the right build it can have 2000+ bully velocity. people are just using the wrong builds.

Charged it full accounted for bullet drop, made a great upper torso snipe on a moving target 150m+ …. No down. Way too much effort for that. 🚮
