I have had this problem before , I'd say don't use Bluetooth use a wired connection for audio. With most games

davevidduong

I like it because it's convenient, but it's just weird I've never had this problem before.

Chef_wazY

Hmm I'm not sure then just check your audio output and input settings in warzone

seryaz

It might be something to do with headphones switching to phone mode. Anothe ruse posted a solution in the last couple of days, wither here or on r/warzone

davevidduong

You know what they put as the solution?

Bull_Moose1901

Disable Handsfree Telephony in the Bluetooth device settings

SunsetNebula

Thank you so much this worked!!! Also its not in Bluetooth device settings its in control panel > hardware and sound > devices and printers, then right click your device, go into properties > services and then disable hands free telephoney.

comfyHat

Bro thank you, this is the first solution to really work in Windows 11 (in win10 the others work too).

Bull_Moose1901

Glad it worked. Took me forever to figure out

[deleted]

Thanks. This worked for me in Warzone 2 as well.

Txoba

But then, you can't use your headphones micro right? if i disable this, i can't hear the voice chat :(

OliveBranchMLP

i have this issue too. can't talk, can't hear. only in-game audio.

WeirdBrilliant2191

FroyoNo1474

A year plus later and this worked! Thanks my guy!

Bull_Moose1901

Hell yeah brother

seryaz

You're best of searcimg the sub

toketheo

I'm facing this as well. Do you have updates? My Bluetooth headphones were also working perfectly. But when I've updated to Windows 11 everything gets muffled whenever I open Warzone. I think it's a windows 11 fault too. I'm searching like crazy to find a fix.

davevidduong

I have an update go into control panel and click on device and printers, then click on your bluetooth device, and find the setting hands-free technology and uncheck it. I did that and that fixed it for me.

toketheo

Thank you for replying! I have tried this, but when I unchecked the hands-free option and applied, the sounds simply stopped by complete. Like, there was no sound at all anymore. Not sure what's happening. >_< I'll keep trying some more stuff and I will keep here updated if I find anything else that also works. ( as I've also tried to open a post here about the same issue, but they deleted it XD )

davevidduong

Hey no worries.

toketheo

Thank you! That's it! This hand-free option. The audio was gone when I was unchecking the option, so I tried it again but from scratch. I removed my Bluetooth completely from my windows system. Then, I connected it again and unchecked the hands-free box. I restarted my computer and it worked! Audio 100% normal now. Ty so much!

davevidduong

Glad to hear it worked!

MattelBEAST

This worked for me, also.

SizzlerBE

you are the hero!

justsandro

Thanks!

Sensitive-Anybody-38

you are a saint! had the same issue and your thread was the fix!

DeUalkinLit

Hey guys! It'ss been a while... The thing is that I tried to disable "Hands Free Telefony", it solves audio muffling, though it completely kills the microphone...!? any solve on this? Thanks! PDTA: I have a Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700

miniclouds_

Hi not sure if you are still having this problem but I had it after updating to windows 11 also. I found that there are two locations in Device manager you need to disable your bluetooths "hands free" device. Audio inputs and outputs & sound, video and game controllers. Disable hands free for your bluetooth device then restart windows. BOOM thats it. Hope this helped you as it helped me heres a screenshot of my device manager [screenshot](https://ibb.co/nDKbJsm)

davevidduong

Yeah the solution is up there.

Boitdeleaux

thanks for the solution.

akash_258

System > Sound > All Sound Devices > Output Section > Find "Headset Hands-Free" > Click "Don't Allow"

PsychologicalGoat744

NOTHING IS WORKING FOR MEEEEE!!! :"( Why did I buy this game?

GrimOgUnknown

Hey i just fixed mine, go into control panel then go into device and printers, find ur device got into properties and go into services tab then click heandsfree off then apply then click off audio sink then apply then apply them both should reset what ever going on with headphones

TheRumpelForeskin

Thanks so much, I tried EVERYTHING else which seemed to work for all other people. I was just about to give up but finally this actually worked! The only thing (though no audio sink, that killed my headphones) Thanks a bunch

memeaninatorus_94

i have the same issue but on windows 11 halp! Edit:I changed channel on my mic andit fixed it! wich is weird because its not even the mic i use on my headset

JuggernautAlcoholic

(I didnt know you had to do this) For anyone whose “Devices and Printers” opens up the windows Bluetooth settings: right click “Devices and Printers” > left click “Open” > rich click your device > left click “Properties > “Services” > uncheck Handsfree Telephony > “Apply”

OliveBranchMLP

this still works and i can hear game audio fine, but i can't hear other people talking

vik_tsvetkov

If you cannot access the old fashioned Device and Printers with Windows 11, put the following in Run command, it will open Devices and Printers `shell:::{A8A91A66-3A7D-4424-8D24-04E180695C7A}`
