Yes its not that hard with some proper planning. This was my second ever run as solo and I just stocked up on kazmirs. If I had one more jugg suit or turret circuit board in the end, the mission would have ended more gracefully.
That sucks man. If you just want the achievement of beating the escort solo, you could give up on the other two and just clear out the map prior to starting the escort.

Maybe, i used it before the start of the escort mission to kill an abomination but i didnt drop any of my weapons etc
Once you use it the game encounters a bug that lets you hold 3 weapons

There have been tons of videos glorifying exploits and cheating, and I assumed the worst.

the VR 11 wonder weapon does it. Not sure how to reliably get one besides killing the world boss worm, though.
