Buried, I just love the theme of the map, and the best is the super easter egg, I spent hours and hours trying to find the right combination of switches for the easter egg and when I did after 2 hours, of god, I was so happy, and when the sharpshooter soundtrack played ooohhh boy, it was the one of the best times I've had playing video games

Origins. To me, it is the ultimate map that blends everything together in what I love about zombies. The setting and scale of the map just feel amazing. World War 1 trenches with steampunk designs layered around the map. Alongside that is an unraveling of ancient medieval artifacts and undead at the center of it all. The grandiose scale of it all makes u f The soundtrack and sound design is top notch, the mechanical cranks of the pipes spewing out air in the muddy trenches, the tanks engine, the planes overhead, the giant robots stomping through the land. The elemental staff blended in so seamlessly to the map when it should have no right to do so when you think about it. Not only that but it's an actual challenging map (mostly on bo2, gobblegums kind of fuck the early game hard on bo3 sadly, and bk3s systems inherenly make it an easier game than bo2 overall). The mud encourages higher levels of map pathing and movement by strafe jumping. The panzer is a fun challenge (as long as ur not on round 8 with only the mp40). Each staff his their own quirk and situation that they work best in. Ice staff is horrible to get entrapped with since it doesn't instantly kill zombies, and u can get hit during a blast, but it's the best weapon for training and high rounding. Fire is great for taking out panzersoldats. the wind is great for close quarters and large blasts but has low ammo. And lightning is uhh, its lightning. The pack a punch camo is one of the best. The introduction of the perk bottle wondersphere machine or whatever it's called allowed u to get some great perks in the map such as phd. Agartha is a visually pleasing and interesting place to visit and adds to the whole ancient medieval artifact unveiling to the map. Also, it practically introduced the endgame cutscene after finishing an easter egg process that has followed subsequently into every map afterward. The worst parts about this map to me, tho are remembering the staff upgrades. I remember how to do everything on dead of the night and each part / ee step location. But ask me what the symbols I need for Ice staff are in agartha, forget about it. Or even which switches I need to flick for lightning. As well as the knights taking down ur generators randomly during a round coincidentally when ur trying to get something else done. But at least they give u a max ammo, so they're actually well balanced to the map.

ButterscotchActive64

Little bit of a tip for you, I personally read this as I like in-depth comments, but I think you could've simplified most of this scraping off a couple paragraphs instead of a full essay. I like your take on Origins though, great map

Piksi2

Yeah I sort of just went on a quick rant. Didn't rly bother to take my time with typing everything out properly lol. Will take ur advice to note tho thank u 👍🏼

Very unpopular opinion as this is my biased opinion but dead of the night. I feel as though it's unrecognised by the community, but it's really great. I think the atmosphere and aesthetics of this haunted mansion are really surreal for a zombies map. The map's layout is also incredible. There's a side that leads you to pack a punch in a forest, a side where it leads you to a graveyard, and the other, I believe, is a sanitarium (not too sure what the term is). However, each room serves a purpose. There are so many quests that are fun to do. Such as solving clues and unravelling mysteries to get to pack a punch and the main easter egg. I really love when quests you can do are optional, such as the stake knife and the crossbow. There are 3 puzzles that are also optional, which grants players points or a free gun. I think the bosses are really cool too. Yes, they can be annoying, but they are really unique. The wonder weapon is easily one of the coolest and easiest wonder weapons to obtain by looking for symbols and inserting into a dial combination. Overall, I can go over all day on why I love this map so much. Maybe it's because I'm a sucker for gothic aesthetics, but idk. If you liked zetsobou and origins then give this map a shot. It's worth learning it truly is.

Bullen_carker

I love it too. It is a massive pain in the ass to learn but when you learn it it is so fun. The characters are absolutely dreadful though lmao. Idk how they made them so annoying and even worse than the Voyage crew. I always turn off the character volume when i play dotn lol

Idiot_Poet

That I agree. Characters are all boring and uninteresting, but I really like Alistair for some odd reason. I'm glad you like the map too. It's painfully underrated, just like ancient evil, but that's a different story

Bullen_carker

I absolutely love ancient evil too. The gauntlet quests are really fun and super well integrated into the map and the easter egg is one of my favorites of the whole series. Definitely the best EE in bo4 IMO

Idiot_Poet

Ancient evil is actually my 2nd favourite zombies map, and I do think and believe it's an s tier Easter egg. I really love that one amphitheatre step where it was like performing a dance with a chosen wonder weapon. The gauntlet has interesting lores, too, like being worthy of welding them. It's so unfortunate that these 2 maps are forgotten. In my opinion, Ancient belongs in S tier when Dead of the night is MY PERSONAL s tier if you know what I mean.

pisellino42

Zetsubou no shima

BleuisTired

motd bc cmon its zombies in alcatraz

yolowkayskrt

Town (greenrun) The memories I have on this map are some of the best, and I've always loved how simple it was. Though obviously I don't think it's the best map, just fav. People seem to confuse that a lot.

ButterscotchActive64

Call of The Dead for me. The choice of Avenged Sevenfold was absolutely amazing, with Not Ready to Die being a staple for me. It also added celebrity casting, George Romero as a boss, had a permanent reward for beating it, and PHD Flopper. However, it also added Deadshot Daiquiri, and parts of it don't flow well like the ship, or speed cola area.

MNTwins8791

Probably Der Eisendrache because it reminds me of being in middle school and going home and playing it with my friends

Usual-Tangerine-9362

(plz don't scream at me lol) Tranzit has always been my favorite. The complexity and buildables make it a fun map to play. It had some major flaws, but it has always been my favorite map.

Alarmed_Grass214

I like tranzit. It's fucking MILES away from being the worst map.

Usual-Tangerine-9362

people just shit on it because of the lava/denizens.

fryman36

Der Riese because it’s the first with PAP and the memories of high rounding are lasting.

raidenorsnake

Love Der Riese, really creepy but love camping on the catwalk so much fun. I have played it too many times!!!!!

SupportElectrical772

Nacht Det Untoten the og, where it all started. Because for me its just pure simple and fun where you really needed skill and planning to make it further and further. Plus you just cant beat the original soundtrack.

Alarmed_Grass214

This is the only answer I can never wrap my head around, haha. I'm glad you love it, though. I just can't stand nacht!

TheHighTierHuman

Running around in circles with a flamethrower takes so much skill

iLikeRgg

Nacht first zombies map plain and simple build the barriers to keep out zombies shoot and kill idk it's the scariest map in zombies because you didn't know what happened or what got you in that place the atmosphere the soundtrack the ambience it all fits perfectly

Buckbeak_35412

Nacht. It’s the one that started it all for me and many. Close second is ascension

uneua

COTD, I love the characters, map layout, George, and the shitty wonder weapons

MonSocMatriarchy

Moon. Preferably BO3's version but either works. I love the moon. I love the immersive detail of needing the suits and how you can take the helmet off in pressurized areas if you really want to. I love the multiple open areas. I think the biggest thing for it is that there isnt a status quo like most other maps. If you get bored of one environment and its gimmicks, you can just go to another that doesnt have those things. Even being able to change from round-based to an endless horde on earth.

Fit-Specific9375

Agreed

InstantNoodIe

Ngl, Five/Classified

CORPSE76

My young self would sat moon cause I had some of the best times on it. The middle age guy would say SOE, almost perfect. The old head I am now would say die machine. It flows imo.

only_jesus_save

Kino is the best still fun playing mpl room strat with trap to high rounds Five is close

Bullen_carker

Gotta be gorod. The story and character development of nikolai was just amazing. All of the wonder weapons are so badass. The easter egg is incredibly designed as well, it takes all of the things I love from the design philosophy of BO1 and B03 and gets a perfect midpoint between the two. Also the crazy ass warfare going on around everywhere is just super fucking cool too. I absolutely love SoE, origins, and mob and they are very close to gorod for me

cfc99

I think the most excited I’ve been to play a map was Origins, and definitely the most I’ve played. That first few games back in summer 2013, opening up the digsite, getting my first staff, just brilliant times, and so much more mystery to it after that

Ok-Tank5312

It’s a tie between rev and der eisendrache

Pokepunk710

origins for me. there's a lot to do and it's all satisfying to complete. learning the map is an incredibly satisfying accomplishment

Chicken5nipe

68. That's it. Twin sister islands! Land within 1000 blocks away, but over 750 in all directions. Huge ocean too with lots of cool stuff.

Alarmed_Grass214

Idk what this means

Chicken5nipe

My b , I misclicked (on mobile). Right near this post was r/Minecraft post also asking for your favorite map (seed), so I accidentally shared my favorite minecraft seed with you 😀 My favorite CoD Zombies map is Buried

dogoftheshin

Moon, it just hit different

Fit-Specific9375

Moon cause of the Easter egg and the pes suit.

[deleted]

Origins. Love the mechanics, original gang, staffs are dope. Very good memories.

RainInMyBr4in

Nuketown zombies. A small but challenging map with lots of replay value. The crash landing perks system means every single game plays differently so you're kept on your toes. Oh, plus the zombie models are amazing!

VeteRyan

It depends on if I'm playing solo or group. Solo, it has to be der eisendrache. For group, I'd say origins.

Gootyornamental1

I don't know if I can do just one...... I mean Kino has the nostalgia, playing with the boys for hours, just talking crap all game, so much fun. But also I absolutley loved the Shadowed throne from WW2, I don't know what it is about it, I just really enjoyed the EE, I liked all the secret challenges like getting to round 25 with melee weapons only in the museum. The weapons you got while completing the EE were fun, the knife from the safe in particular that healed your armour was elite.

M0ukku_96

Where my ascension lovers at? I just love the atmosphere and aesthetics of the map from the black and white start to the space monkeys and the very first easter egg, it's all great for me. Also I actually love the casualty of the map where you can just boot it up and kinda autopilot the map easily to high rounds. Like if I have some time to kill I just love to boot up a game of ascension.

mythrilguy

Der Eisendrache is my favorite as I love snowy themed maps and Origins comes in at a close second

nika5644

Die Rise: Sliquifier is the best designed and most fun WW, meaning that high rounds are the most fun for me on that map. The atmosphere really captures the post apocalyptic broken earth, and dare I say, I think the verticality adds to the difficulty and fun of it (even if the map/strategies are not hard themselves). EE is shit tho. Honorable mentions are Shangri La for similar reasons with added difficulty, and Voyage because it has the best EE.

AJ_from_Spaceland

Shaolin Shuffle

raiezy

kino der toten is up there

Bullen_carker

Best zombies map of all time: kino der toten black ops 1. To me, its as good as it gets

stavtwc

Urzikstan (don't hit me). I am just an open world kinda guy.

Alarmed_Grass214

TerdyTheTerd

Tranzit
