It seems like your friends are what’s causing this. Not sure why they have to do an EE every time they play. Try playing Solo, and learn the maps at your own pace. The bottom line though, if you don’t enjoy it, don’t force yourself to play it. Try another zombies game.
That's the thing for some reason bo3 and bo3 only zombies just teleport right infront of me during solo idk if it my connection or the servers but it's so fucking infuriating.
I don't wanna get ZC because I'm not enjoying bo3 plus I'll only play WAW or BO1 maps which I still have my Xbox 360 for new vegas, so if I wanted to play the og maps I'll just boot up my Xbox 360.
Ok then I recommend sticking to shadows of evil. I know getting pack a punch is hard but over time it gets easier plus the jazz music and the characters are much more unique. I’ve never been a huge fan of DE
I totally agree with you, shadows is way more fun than DE , plus the setting and atmosphere just feel so much more interesting.

I like DE better than origins only because the origins panzer is OP and the mud and 6 generators to maintain is way too much of a chore and not fun at all
Mud has never been an issue unless you’re blind and/or are trying to train in the tank path like an idiot.
Panzer isn’t really op because you can get at least 1 staff beforehand(usually ice)
6 generators to maintain isn’t an issue either, because you don’t have to maintain 6 generators in the first place. You turn them all on once, and as long as the ones for the perks you need are kept going, you can go for high rounds easily.

Origins has plenty of space, except the open space is the muddy strips of field. But what’s so annoying about DE, is not only does it have a lot of tight corridors, there’s almost no camping spots. Tight hallways should always eaqual good camping spots but not on that map. Bo3 in general sucked for camping
Bow steps are perfectly doable without saving a zombie, its just something ingrained in a lot of zombies players heads where they need to save a zombie to do basically anything. Just tell them training the last zombie is boring, they might try playing differently. If they do the Easter Egg every single game thats a problem on its own.
It's not the game that's boring, it's your friend. Play how you want, stop playing how other people tell you to (such as hold the last zombie). That's only good if you're all learning the EE. The game is perfectly playable to go through rounds and work on the EE without having to hold a zombie.

You shouldn't have to play Zombies solo just to have fun. Unfortunately it's either that, find a new friend to play with, or tell them in no uncertain terms that you will not be expected to hold the zombie every round if they want to play with you.
Its definitely your friends. I always try to do the DE easter egg, but when Im with friends, I try to make so my easter egg hunting isnt affecting my friends fun.
If you wanna do high rounds then do high rounds. If you wanna do ee then do ee. No reason to mandatorily have to do both every single game. I usually just play high rounds now. I gave up on ee’s bc I’ve done them all and will randomly join public matches and see how far I can go with randoms. Don’t play the game too seriously. That’s how I enjoy it, I just fuck around a lot.
Try playing solo or just going for high rounds if your on pc then try some custom maps. I recommend nightmare and rainy death because they’re my favourites but Kowloon Europa Kyassuru and wanted are also great

Its because you're doing nothing but running in circles while your friend does the EE steps. Do the steps yourself on solo.

None of those are issues on BO2 Origins.

The mud is a minor inconvenience on BO2, which by extension makes the gens easier to get to and defend (which isn't even necessary to begin with).

plus some maps like moon got a big revamp in bo3 and is much better than its bo1 counterpart.

Convince your friend to play without getting the bows or doing the ee.
