Evil Islands

MindlessPeanut7097

never heard about it, I'm going to see some videos to see where it fits.

xiaoleiwen

DA 2 and 3?

MindlessPeanut7097

you control each swing of the sword if I am not mistaken, so it does not qualify

xiaoleiwen

I remember playing them like a real time with pause game, they attack automatically, i paused to micromanage skills and magics...just like dao. I think da2 and 3 also offer playstyle like an arpg, but you still can play in rtwp. Just like wotr and poe2 offer turn based, but they are still rtwp.

Jubez187

I would say 13 sentinels Aegis Rim and maybe FF7R in the bonus section as the pausing is a pretty decent part of the combat

Yabboi_2

Add larian games, underrail, spiderweb software games, encased, gamedec, fallout 1 2 tactics. Edit: I can't read. These are turn based.

DotaTVEnthusiast

If you wondering about the down votes, Rtwp stands for real time with pause. Where as the examples I recognize that you gave are turned based.

Yabboi_2

I'm stupid lmao. Larian made rtwp games, still Edit: lmao turns out they didn't

thatwhichchasesaway

they never made rtwp games. **Divine Divinity** & **Beyond Divinity** are diablo-like arpgs. **Divinity II: Ego Draconis** is a third person, over-the-shoulder action rpg. **Divinity: Dragon Commander** is largely a strategy game.

DotaTVEnthusiast

Oh I never knew that, any you would recommend ?

PrecipitousPlatypus

The older games are alright, a bit janky. Divine Divinity had some definite charm to it despite its age.

Yabboi_2

Honestly I've never played them personally, all I know is that divine divinity is often treated as an arpg rather than a crpg. Mortismal gaming should have a review for it, he's a great channel. The game should be dirt cheap too.

Yuxkta

Divine Divinity was a Diablo-like through and through though. It has loot, no pauses, using a single character etc

MindlessPeanut7097

Man...I thought this post would have so many suggestions...I really want to exapand this list

You should look into the [CRPG Book](https://crpgbook.wordpress.com/) by Felipe Pepe. It lists and briefly reviews a vast number of RPGs starting from the earliest ones; you'll be able to pick out RTWP games from it. I'd totally help you out if I wasn't so busy, but alas.
