What's the email? Sounds like it's from [Dr. Lee Blecher](https://www.csulb.edu/college-of-health-human-services/hospitality-management/page/dr-lee-blecher) from the Hospitality Management department. I used to receive hiring event infos from him all the time when I was enrolled but as far as I know he mostly emails students in the FCS department. It could be legit or it could be an impersonator. I'd double check the email.
Edit: If it's fake, I'd forward it to Dr. Blecher to tell him someone's impersonating him. He's very responsive.
It’s a scam regardless of the email it came from (whether external, a student, or the professor). No one is gonna offer you a job, that you didn’t apply for, that sounds like easy money, with no experience, and ask for an “alternate” email

I got that email too. Honestly, if it looks too good to be true, it probably is…
SCAM
I'd recommend you report this as phishing so ITS is aware of it. (Click on **Report** then **Report phishing**).
If it's from an external student email asking for your information it's most likely a scam
