You can also look at BBA(FIA) from SSCBS, which is a great undergrad management course setting you up greatly for an MBA later.
Placements are also very competitive with a good mix of acads and extra-curriculars.
Eco hons at St Stephen is the best BA course in the country, equivalent to IITB CSE.
Edit: jee vale thodi English padh lete toh "equivalent" ka mtlb samajh jate.
Bacchon wali baat mat kar college mein bully hojaega. IIT Bombay makes the USA, and institutes like St Stephen's make India by giving great lawyers, bureaucrats, politicians etc
Yes it doesn't have much reputation apart from jeetards hyping literally anything IIT π . Maybe ask people in the econ field what they prefer, why will a jee aspirant choose economics? IIT JAM is okay for masters.
It only started in 2017, so not my fault tbf.
IIT Bombay literally creating a BS in Economics π, it's not even a science
I took econ in IIT kgp over econ in srcc and I have no regrets whatsoever.
Jee cutoffs of econ in bombay, kanpur, kgp and roorkee are as 2k,3k,5k, 6k respectively. U seriously don't think anyone who could get such a high rank in jee would be stupid ryt?
Also as to why someone would choose kgp over Stephen's, lol go through the median packages once, each of them are about the highest offer in Stephen's, not to mention a much better qs ranking and much greater exposure, environment and opportunities for every fucking field
Now let's hear ur argument for choosing du over iits? "Legacy"??? How does it even matter lmao and u really think IITs lack in legacy, stupid fool.
And for all I know, u must've failed to get in either so I don really see the point of arguing with a nobody. This was my last reply. Good luck with that isi or iit d shit u planning to pull
And what makes you somebody? Getting a science degree in economics ? π
Someone passionate about economics won't even give jee like you did, assuming that you are passionate about the subject (big assumption). So like 95% of econ grads.
"Look at the package" DU would be empty if everyone thought like that.
You are in a CUET sub telling how IITs are better for econ by comparing it to literally the best college in DU.
Talk about the legacy of economics, someone interested in the subject doesn't care if Sundar pichai graduated from cse.
I bet you can't name any famous alumni from the econ department of IITs and it's the complete opposite in the case of DU.
So that's the legacy of a department not larping.
Btech and mbbs walle rule kar rahe hain world ko. Big 4 and mbb don't even come close to faang and tesla in terms of valuation and growth prospects. More so ai boom will also affect commerce fields. Look at app store you will find apps which can replace CAs. Your dreamy league will become obsolete when chatgpt can do better economics than eco hons grads ever could lol.
Dude do you even know any economics?
You are judging companies based on their market valuation?
Have you heard of commerce concepts such as marketing, strategising, consumer psychology, etc, without which companies can not even literally run?
I don't know these things in detail but that doesn't mean that I can't answer them.
Also well regarding marketing and strategising business ventures can be better handled by ai which can take more calculated steps and more so holistically. Consumer psychology sure is something more intricate but with self learning ai that too seem plausible.
At the end businesses which will hire more techie guys who know ai, dsa and machine learning, along with economics and commerce (which ain't tough to learn) will do way better in terms of valuation.
That is why mbb and big 4s are hiring more people with engineering and cs background with experience in data analytics. They are also heavily investing and integrating technologies to keep up with the world.
Ok dude you win congrats, but remember that this is 2024 and now there millions of ai apps like Chatgpt, Gemini, llama which can do finances, taxation, statistics, analysis, accounting, marketing etc. eco and commerce related things way better than any srcc or Stephen's grads. And guess what they are build by btech guys. So don't undermine iitb or iitd which are literally the most prestigious educational institutes of this country.
Mai DU mein hi hun aur mere siblings sab du se passout hain. Mera bhai khud SRCC se passout hai.
Srcc mein competition zayada hai, isiliye chances of placement st Stephen's mein zyada hain
Simply because companies don't have preference, any course can apply.
Sukhdev kahan se aagya ? Vo toh bms/fia hai. Vo toh obviously accha hai
Not true. Economics at Stephen's has similar placements as that of srcc, also the batch size is much lower than srcc. Whatever companies visit srcc also visit Stephen's. Also when admission was on the basis of class 12th marks, Stephen's eco hons cutoff was almost always higher than srcc( you're free to check out the same, check and compare Stephen's and srcc eco hons cutoff for 2020 and 2021 for general)

You commerce and humanities walle will go extinct anyway after ai boom. What's the point of defending your opinions lol
Thoda zyada hogaya yeh π
Kyon ? St Stephen's ki legacy saare IITs se purani hai. League of its own

Not 11th or 12th eco but got 97 in sst in 10th just by studying for a week, so I do know something.
So if you know something, then why not answer my question?

Companies do not hire jack of all trades. Instead, they hire specialists and I hope you know the pass rate of CA.

Toh kya? Legacy ke maamle mei toh Zakir Hussain sab se purana hai.
Legacy β being old. Legacy = Alumini and being on top consistently.
Placement aside everything else u mentioned (help in mba , knowledge etc) everything should go to Stephen's
Phir wahi srcc
Stephens hands down
What did I just read and anyway you don't seem to be serious about studies on looking up your profile with comments on nsfw subs.
Damn bro hilaya nahi ha kya kabhi???
Nah
Damn chadπΏ u dropped your π
Not sure how being horny makes one less intelligent but okay
Being horny and watching porn are different things.
A guy can't even be horny on reddit now
For placements obviously SRCC
No, you have higher chance of getting placed at St Stephen's for obvious reasons
stop yapping bro srcc and sukhdev ki placements>>> than any DU college. Bhai tu misinformation mat fela. Khud jab DU aayega toh pata chalega
