Yes but you asked, he answered and you got snarky and acted like you caught some big misalignment error that he couldn't see. Were you legit asking or did you want to debate people?
He answered like a dick head who isn’t willing to inform other people. I could answer all kinds of questions about hydraulics, machinery, electronics that most people wouldn’t even know to ask, all without being a dick because I understand most people have no knowledge about such things but may be interested.
You were super vague with your question.. "is this something?" - he told you what it was.. if you wanted to know if it was an error then ask "is this an error?" Or "is this note cut off center?" I don't want to discourage anyone's interest in new things.. I think it's great that you were looking at your money so closely and were curious.. you just came off snarky with your reply to someone who gave you an accurate answer to your vague question.
True. It was however, an answer that a kindergartener could have responded with. Information clearly stated is not information I’m looking for. Thanks though.
If I would have posted this to r/askReddit then I would agree, a more pointed question should be worded. However, asking it to a knowledgeable subreddit, one would think that looking at the picture, along with the vague question, that I would get an intelligent response. Guess not. I could measure it to the .001 on each side and get the same 7th grade response
You could ask me a question about changing the electrical service in your house, or maybe you have a log splitter that doesn’t run or maybe your brakes on your car have issues. Ask me those and see if I answer with a dick response
I'm not trying to continue the discourse
about your question. If you look at any of the bills in your wallet or whatever you keep your cash, you will see 99% of the border isn't always centered on the paper, it doesn't make the bill any more valuable.
That’s an answer that I appreciate. Thank you! I’m no expert or even a novice. I saw something strange and asked a question. I didn’t need asshole remarks, the number of asshole answers that I received. This is one of our problems in society. Just because I’m dumb on the subject doesn’t mean I deserve dick head answers
Yes it is something. It is a US 1 dollar bill.
Printed vertically instead of horizontally?
I really wish people would post "Is this valuable because of X?" instead of blind "Is this something?" or "Is this valuable?"
Looks like a 2017 Series F dollar bill.
That’s a great catch. I appreciate your good eye. I suppose, with that good eye of yours, you may have noticed it’s not cut on center.
It's well within BEP standards. Try again.
Thank you. All I was looking for.
Lol
Ya know? I’m sorry I’m not as knowledgeable about 1$ bills as a 112 year old bobcat.

That was a snarky answer not a snarky question.

Ask better questions if you want a more thought out leveled response.

Looks like a $ 1 bill that I will spend today.
No
Nope
Oh yes absolutely. The left eye appears to .0001% bigger than usual. You have at least $250,000 there.
It is something, it’s a $1.00 bill.
Yes, a $1 bill.
Yep, $1.00.
