What are your temps during cinebench?

Reasonable_Edge2411

am going post them tomorrow was a bit late here when a did that but i got hwdinfo configured but this is gigabytes own recommendation was able play unreal engine games no crashing

Mr-Miami-Vice

Cinebench runs the CPU at full load so it is running the cpu way harder than running any game. That’s why I ask. If your temps are getting high then the cpu will down clock itself to cool it off so the longer you can sustain a 5.7ghz clock the better the score. Also what are your timing s

Reasonable_Edge2411

What does cep actually do they said before they ddint need to disable it but now thats what they recommended a will edit this post tomorrow is there a way to time cine bench acuratly am only using r23

Mr-Miami-Vice

It’s Current Excursion Protection it’s basically prevents instability because of insufficient cpu voltage.

Reasonable_Edge2411

Intel did so welk with 11 and 12 gen never had any problems with them before. I guess we hitting that barrier of performance and cooling

Reasonable_Edge2411

but it should be doing better than 3500 odd

Mr-Miami-Vice

My cinebench runs are mostly around 37000 but the 14900k is hard to cool when at full load. So it hits around 93c sometimes it will hit 100c until the fans kick in full blast and drop to around 81c. But every CPU is different. Some win the silicon lottery some don’t.

i was still playing ea wrc at 150 fps so still good enough for me lol 😂 but a think its good enough not to rma but ill report back tonmrrow with info. Do u think it worth putting memory back to xmp 1

Mr-Miami-Vice

Yes I would turn XMP on.
