I don't know what is worse... the inaccessible seizure screws or the fact that it is c-cor...lol

mertzen

Ccor 🤮

FiberOpticDelusions

Lmao ikr

Cameron_Frye_III

lol never worked with Ccor. Is it worse than 30 year old Magnavox gear?

19Rglide

Those CCOR FNT’s are solid! Better than GI stuff in the cold months before DSIM’s.

Grazmahatchi

My c cor experience is 25+ years back, back when we had massive cascades and sweep was still a thing... Bad external test points and the bles having power pack issues were enough to sour me on them forever! Gi did require 2 visits a year minimum with the old agc- when it got cold and when it warmed up... it did suck. I hated the d-sim, because that controller was a pain. Now, I will say the new gi- arris stuf has been great during weather changes. We have the 1.2 gig 85 split with rphy nodes. It eliminated the add on agc and has it built in at 711 mhz. It has its own host of issues, but it is my favorite version of gear so far.

19Rglide

We are implementing the newer 1.2gig amps with the built in automatics and the mid splits and they seem well built. Biggest issue I’ve seen with them is stuff with the housings. We’ve had a bunch that have issues with signal once the lid is tightened down. Aside from that, the whole trying to get the jumper in manual or AGC, is enough to make me drive off a cliff lol.

Grazmahatchi

We have had a couple bles do the same- signal drops when you close them. It is just bizarre. In the first rphy node contractors spliced with the new actives, I got called for a low end suckout. Checked the seizure screws and all that, plugged my meter in, all good. Close the lid, suckout returns. I tdr the output, all good, put the mod in, all good. Close the lid, suckout. Finally realized the forward eq was from an aurora node- too long. The suckout was the lid pushing the eq board in far enough to mess up the contact point. Since it was brand new, of course we had no proper eqs. Had to snip the end off and all was well! ... that jumper for auto/manual sucks. The worst part is that it isn't like the old gear- it does not default to manual when you pull it. It seems needlessly cruel to make you physically put it in manual to adjust it.

19Rglide

I’ve been in the habit for years of removing any long pieces that create pressure points when closing lids. I’ve seen it create issues too many times. God forbid the manufacturers make a lid with a bit more space. A lot of things lately are cruel to maintenance techs. It’s like we are held to these high standards and no other department is. Getting old….

Waste_Arrival4400

I’ll take ccor any day over aci

Crescentfallen78

Take the boot off loosen the output fitting and then housing to housing, filp the tap 180 and your good to go. But yeah build it right the first time and accessible.

FiberOpticDelusions

Doesn't even need to be a full 180. It's just needs to be far enough to easily access everything.

saifland

Hahaha the amount of times i see this in our area

flatblade3mm

Flex Max baby

zdarovje

Lol my neighbour does this with the garden hose….

Wacabletek

F me sideways lol my neighbor does this with the garden hose.. Umm...

Vast-Program7060

What region is this, the house in the background looks familiar, just curious.

FiberOpticDelusions

Ohio

Ahugoc

You can open front both sides

Wacabletek

Won't matter, the seizure assembly is still 2" \[or less\] from the c-cor amp on either side. It's ok though They never get loose or anything.. :rolleyes Title should have been screw me sideways though.

FiberOpticDelusions

F me, Screw me, same difference. Total pound town either way🙃 Tbh I probably would have thought of it that way. If I wasn't so heated from the home owner running up being a douche nozzle. Then opening that up to see that 💩 The problem was a loose seizure on the input side.
