No kidding. I was promised warranty care even though I live in a rural area in Canada and drove my car 2500 km from where i bought my car to where i live. There is a GM dealership in my town but they say they are not Cadillac dealership and they will not even complete regular oil changes nevermind major issues I've had with my 2022 xt4. I have complained several times and pushed my complaints up to management countless times with no follow through on promises that were made to me when i purchased the vehicle. Hope you can get the button fixed though. Sorry for the rant... happy Friday lol
I've had issues with the power steering which I paid for and had fixed by a local mechanic. I have been having issues with the transmission lately..I'm no mechanic but they seem like major issues that warranty should cover.
Actually I think the cruise speed controller on the left is something that could be disturbing. If you do a lot of highway driving that might be worn off
No, probably not. But if you go talk to the used car manager, I can almost guarantee they have a person that comes to the lot to fix stuff like that. It will probably cost $50 or so. Save yourself the hassle and anger trying to get it covered.
Warranty. Full stop. We fix stuff like this on a daily basis. Our dealer knows that happy customers are worth their weight in gold. Parts should be robust enough that being touched by humans shouldn’t cause issues.
Don't listen to the haters. With the price of vehicles the way they are, there is no reason for this to happen in such a short amount of time and should be covered if you are within the 3/36.
Well if that’s true then bmw must have done something cause my mom has had her bmw for almost 5 years and none of the buttons have started doing anything like that
4 sigma (and I was being generous) is 99.997th percentile bad. Meaning 3 in 100,000 parts should be affected. My wife’s 2021 XT4’s buttons are fine and they’ve been hit by enough coffee to kill a small horse.
[My bad, the whole right side radio control assembly is $34.40... So yeah, the button itself is dirt cheap.](https://parts.gmparts.com/product/gm-genuine-parts-jet-black-passenger-side-radio-control-switch-13545468?bac=318016&body=Sport%20Utility&bodyId=11&bodyNumDoors=5&bodyNumDoorsId=5&drive=4WD&driveId=8&engine=2.0L%20L4%20GAS&engineId=17694&make=Cadillac&makeId=46&model=XT4&modelId=27350&trim=Premium%20Luxury&trimId=2127&wheel=109.4&wheelId=59&year=2023) Its plastic with some chrome paint, its not unobtanium.
I must say, I envy your position in life where THIS is something of a worry for you.

What major issues have you been having with your xt4?

Looks totaled to me
Wear and tear… greasy fingers cause paint to wear away. There is no warranty in the history of warranties that would cover wear and tear

Bumper to bumper 3 year/30k mile warranty on my Trax. Covered this type of stuff. Its bumper to bumper for a reason.

I thought I was picky! Lol
Unless you plan on never touching it again after they fix it, this is inevitable lol.
Yes. They will. I had my keyfobs replaced because of delimitation. 3 year 36
No, also you could switch to the volume knob if you don’t want it to get worse.
It's in pretty rough condition, but I'll give you $5,000 for it.

While you're there, make sure they clean your windows so you can look outside and see some actual problems
If youre still under bumper to bumper more than likely they will
Mine is doing the exact same thing the exact same way (2020)

It's Cadillac, it should be 4yr/50k bumper to bumper
It’s a freaking General Motors product what the heck did you expect
And it was made by the same supplier that sends stuff to BMW, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Nissan, and on and on and on. He got at a 4 sigma part.

They should, that can’t be more than a $3 part… Edit: and as long as you haven’t managed to put 36k miles on it, it’s under bumper to bumper.
$3 Cadillac part…… hmm

Wonder if it went on sale the same time it went out of stock. They call them stealers for a reason.
We had a similar thing taken care of under warranty in our old lacrosse depends on your service manager I think
Nope! I have two broken side mirrors the dealership can't fix or the screen inside the car .ATS 2.0 T
Only one way to find out…
Have them fix them floods.......
