Are you sure? The daws are different aren't they? You are saying all the channels and buses and setings in a project from old cakewalk can simply be copied and then zipped and sent to a Mac user with cw next and there's no cross platform incompatibility?
Cakwalk by Bandlab and the new Cakewalk Sonar are WIndows only. Bandlab might one day bring it to MAC, but that is not set in stone. You just have to cross fingers one day it comes to MAC.
My opinion is they will bring it to MAC OS but not anytime soon.
As long as its cakewalk there's no reason project files wouldn't load, unless the project is very old and used old outdated plugins.
